Note that –ar and –er verbs that have a stem change in the present tense do not have a stem change in the prerite.

Verbs that end in –car, -gar and –zar have a spelling change in the yo form of the preterite. For all other forms you follow the same verb endings for –ar.

Don’t forget to use the infinitives that end in –car, -gar and –zar. Students to present their shopping descriptions to the class in Spanish. Examples of infinitives ending in –car,-gar and -zar: Buscar, sacar, tocar,practicar, educar, llegar, jugar, pagar, almorzar, empezar and abrazar.
