Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful and kindle in them the fire of Your love.
WE SHARE CHRIST’S LIGHT AND OUR FAITH IS DEEPENED AS WE CELEBRATE THE DIVERSITY OF OUR PARISH.
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
I would like to encourage those who attend St. Turibius on a regular basis to consider registering on our Parish Data Base.
This is important for the following reasons.
First of all, we would like to be able to keep you informed about the activities of our parish. This could be anything from our
special Masses and events during the year. Having a current list of those who regularly attend St. Turibius is the first step.
Secondly, there may be emergencies such as severe weather or other disasters when we would have to send out an email blast or
a group telephone call alerting people to these events.
Finally, being on our data base helps our parish staff know you. This is true when you ask for a letter from the parish
confirming that you do indeed attend St. Turibius.
There are a few ways to register. You can do this on line. The instructions are in this bulletin and there are copies of the
instructions in the back of church and in the parish office.
You can also come to the parish office and we can help you register on line.
I hope you take the time to be part of our Parish Data Base. ALL INFORMATION IN OUR PARISH DATA BASE IS KEPT
CONFIDENTIAL.

ALL ARE SENTFifty days after Easter Sunday we celebrate the fulfillment of all
God’s promises in the feast of Pentecost, a feast that has sometimes been called the birthday of the church. One last time
we are reminded that we Christians have received the Holy Spirit, not for our own benefit, but to enable us to follow
our Christian vocation.
The centerpiece of the scriptures for Pentecost is the account in Acts of the Apostles of the sending of the Holy Spirit to the
disciples. The other readings for this Sunday help us to understand what it means to live out our Christian vocation. Paul’s letter shows us the gifts and fruits that the Holy Spirit
gives to us. John’s Gospel reminds us that Jesus has sent all his disciples to share his forgiveness and peace, through the
power of the Holy Spirit.

We Are One Family, Encircled by God’s Love!
Saint Turibius Parish
Parish Mission Statement
We Believe that God is Love, and when we live in love we live in God and God lives in
us! Therefore we, the Parish Family of Saint Turibius, dedicate ourselves to living out
Christ’s Great Commandment: we will love the Lord our God with all our heart, with all our soul, with all our mind, and with all our strength, and we will show our love for God
by the way we love and care for one another. To this end, we will respond to our baptismal
call, strengthened by the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and empowered by
the Holy Spirit. As a Family of Faith that has an Attitude of Gratitude for the gifts God has given to us, we will share our time, our talent
and our treasure with each other. We welcome into our parish family all people, because we
believe that together we are the Body of Christ and together we can bring the love, peace,
forgiveness, healing, and joy of Christ into our community in ways we never could have if we were to remain apart. May all who meet us, who worship with us, who work and play with
us, know we are Christians by our love!
