GENERAL INFORMATIONLocated near the banks of the Panama Canal, with an area of 22.104 hectares (55,000 acres) of tropical rain forests and only 20 minutes from Panama City and 40 from Columbus, this park is the habitat of more than 1300 plants and 100 animals. He has been recognized internationally for having one of the richest diversity of birds. Too much history surrounds this park, the Spanish conquistadors after the conquest in 1492.

BiodiversityWith 105 species of mammals,

525 species of birds, 79 reptiles, 55 amphibians and 36 species of freshwater fish in the park becomes an important refuge for wildlife.
