Grace Network - request for Jan-March : Sugar or Rice/feature items for Jan are toilet paper and
deodorant. Items can be placed in the basket under the table in the commons.
Community Storehouse – individual Chef Boyardee microwaveable meals for children. These meals go
home on weekends for children who can’t depend on getting food at home.
Bible Study :
Sunday morning after 10:15 Mass until 1:00 pm in the library. Come to share.
Thursday evening 7:00. Starting on March 2 , the Thursday Bible study at 7 pm will be studying
"Revelation" Consider learning more about the "End Times" at this season of Lent ! Session lasts till 8.30 Movie Nights will be “shelved” until further notice
Eucharistic Adoration every Friday beginning after Mass until 6:00 pm. Come and spend some time
with the Lord! During Lent, Adoration will end at 6:40 pm. Stations of the Cross will begin at 7:00
Food Lion gift cards in various amounts are available every Sunday after Mass and in the church office during
the week. The cards can be used when you do your regular shopping or given as gifts. They are as easy to use as
a debit card- just swipe and go!
If you shop at Kroger – register your rewards card online at www.kroger.com/communityrewards and enter St.
Joseph # 82116 and the number on your card. The church gets money back based on how much you spend.
There is no cost to you for either program! Cards need to be renewed after a year. You should receive an email
with instructions.

Events/handouts/ fundraiser policy Any group or individual holding an event on St. Joseph property must fill
out an appropriate form, and have it signed by Fr. Nicholas in advance. If
you would like the event advertised in the oral announcements, a written
copy must be submitted to the church office by Wed at 4 pm. Please plan
your activities in advance so that we can properly plan for its success.

On Sat ., March 18 , the original statue of the Virgin Mary from Fatima, Portugal , will be in the "Holy Name of Mary" church in Bedford, VA., from 9-5. Mass at 9:30, ending with rosary at 4.30 pm. The church is easy to find and less than 45 mins. from Roanoke! This is part of a 2 year tour commentating the 100th anniversary of the apparitions in Fatima. Holy Name of Mary is only one of 4 parishes in the diocese of Richmond granted this honor! Contact Maureen at 276-806-7688 if interested

We have 56, all that Dr. Szulecki can carry now, but will collect
again for her October trip.
To everyone who contributed to fundraisers for our youth
retreats. We were able to send 16 youth to DYC and 8 to the
Discovery retreat. (several went to both!) They all had a
wonderful time meeting new people, growing closer to God,
and developing a stronger faith life! Our present and future
church is full of hope!
To those who took the time to fill out the time and talent
forms. Our parish and the Church can’t operate or grow
without volunteers! We appreciate all that you do and are
willing to do. If you have not gotten a form, please stop by the
church office.

The general operating collection (1st collection) is
needed to pay for the everyday operating expenses of

Eucharistic Adoration/Stations of the cross Adoration is available for all parishioners, visitors and
seekers on Fridays from 1:00 pm– 8:00 pm. During the
Lenten season, Adoration will end at 6:45 so that we can
begin the Stations of the Cross at 7:00 followed by a
meatless soup supper.
Penance Service Thursday 7:00 pm at St. Joseph
The Diocesan Annual Appeal is underway! This money is used for
many important services and programs across the diocese and in
our own parish. We appreciate your generous response to this
appeal.
FYI The Annual appeal is a separate collection from our own parish
collections. Please continue to give generously to our first
collection each week. St. Joseph parish depends on this money
for office supplies, salaries, lights, heating, cooling, telephone,
snow plowing, bulletin inserts, religious education materials,
parish activities, rectory costs, sacramental supplies, etc.
Counters Needed St Joseph is in the need of a collection counter. You would
be paired with an experienced counter. It would require
2-3 hours of your time once a month after the Spanish
Mass. Anyone interested in this ministry should call the
office or see Pat Prillaman.
