Article 68 of the International COPABE’s Regulation will be applied. 1.- The team that won the game (s) among the tied teams will be given the highest position. In case of TRIPLE TIE, the following will be applied:
1st CASE: When the 3 teams are tied in won and lost games and one of them wins the other 2, in the normal situation, domination is applie.
2.-the lower number of runs allowed among the tied teams. 2nd CASE: In the classic triple tie the 3 teams are tied (won and lost game) teams they won between them. The team with the highest position is the one with less runs received (only between them) and if there is another slot it will be decided by DOMINIO between the 2 remaining

teams, according to that order the necessary places will be taken for qualifying.

IN THE EVENT OF TIES:

ENTRY PROCESS
All countries through the corresponding National Olympic Commit-tee, must send their Sport Entry requests in the official forms that the Organizing Committee will send at the latest at 24:00 hours (Colom-bian time) on February 20, 2018. They must indicate in the form the sports in which they will participate in the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games “Barranquilla 2018”. (The forms that will be publis-hed in the official WEB site “Barranquilla 2018”). If recognized by the Pan American Confederation of said sport and CACSO, Associate Members may also be allowed to participate.
ENTRY BY NUMBER
The Entry by Number forms (indicating the number of participants in each individual event and per team) shall be sent to the Organizing Committee of the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games Bar-ranquilla 2018 at the latest before midnight (Barranquilla, Colombia’s time) of April 20, 2018 according to CACSO’s Regulation, Chapter VIII.
ENTRY BY NAME
For each eligible athlete to participate in the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games Barranquilla 2018 it is necessary to fill out an entry by name form that should be contemplated by NOCs and will be received by the Organizing Committee before midnight (Bar-ranquilla, Colombia’s time) of Wednesday June 20, 2018 according CACSO’s Regulations, Chapter VIII.
Each NOC shall send the entry by number and entry by name forms in the official forms provided by the Organizing Committee, to be delivered six months before the Games. If you have any doubt or for clarification purposes, the Organizing Committee has this e-mail ad-dress at your disposal: inscripciones@barranquilla2018.com

MINIMUM PARTICIPATION
For an event to be considered official at least five (5) representations must participate from the same number of National Olympic Commit-tees. In the event one or more representations, after the Technical Me-eting takes place, may not participate due to force majeure (verified by CACSO) the event will be carried out with a minimum of four (4) repre-sentations of the same number of National Olympic Committees.
GENERAL RULES
The competitions of the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games Barranquilla 2018 will be carried out according to CACSO’s Statute and the corresponding International Federation Regulation in force during the Games. The cases not foreseen in the above-mentioned regulations will be solved as follows:
A. General nature cases will be solved according to CACSO’s Statute and according to the Central American and Caribbean Games Re-gulation.
B. Technical nature cases will be solved according to the proce-dures of the Pan American Confederation or a Continental Orga-nization.
UNIFORMS AND SPORTS EQUIPMENT
The Central American and Caribbean Games Regulation and the corre-sponding International Federation regulations must be followed as well as Rule 51 of the IOC, as per the rules established for NOCs in the Guide-lines for the Use of Manufacturers Trademarks.
TRAINING FACILITIES
Access will be allowed only to accredited team members. There is no public access allowed. Equipment shall follow the requirements of the corresponding International Federation.

PARTICIPATIONOnly NOCs recognized by CACSO, whose National Baseball Federati-ons members of the World Baseball - Softball Confederation (WBSC) and Pan American Baseball Confederation (COPABE) may enter ath-letes in the Softball competition of the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games, Barranquilla 2018. The associated members re-cognized by CACSO may also participate if they are recognized by the WBSC and Pan American Baseball Confederation.
ANNOUNCED EVENTS

MAXIMUM NUMBEROF COMPETITORS
In accordance to the quota set by CACSO, the Baseball competition will have a maximum of one hundred and ninety two (192) athletes, in eight (8) teams and a maximum of twenty-four (24) players per team.
Each NOC may enter a maximum of one (1) team, provided they comply with the Baseball qualifying criteria for the XXIII Central American and Carib-bean Games, Barranquilla 2018.

TECHNICAL MEETING
The Technical Meeting will take place on July 19 at the PUERTA DE ORO Center at 10:00 a.m.
Up to two representatives from each NOC will be able to attend this Technical Meeting.
The invitation card for the Technical Meeting will be available to the Heads of Team at the Sports Information Center at the Central Ame-rican and Caribbean Village upon their arrival.
The Technical Delegate and the Organizing Committee’s Baseball Competition Manager will preside the meeting, which will be in Spanish and English.
TECHNICAL OFFICIALS
Each game must have four umpires plus one alternate, as well as two score keepers (one per team) plus a third score keeper who will be the official score keeper. At each venue or playing field there must also be an official compiler and an auxiliary. Each country will have the right to include an umpire that is certified by COPABE and transfer expen-ses will be covered by the corresponding Olympic Committee, hotel, meals and per diem are the organizing committee’s responsibility.
PROTESTS AND APPEALS
Any protest arising from the incorrect application of the game rules will be made to the head Umpire, who will inform the opposing team and the technical commission as well. The team that protests must do so in writing within the 10 minutes following the reason for pro-test, citing the involved rules of Baseball, for proper evaluation by the technical Commission, which will take action immediately. The Com-mission’s decision will be final and unappealable.
All protests must have a deposit of US 200 for the Competition Ma-nager, if the protest is solved in a favorable manner the money will be returned to the team submitting the protest on the contrary the money will be for the Game’s organization.

SPORTS EQUIPMENT
The official ball for competition will be the one determined by the Pan American Baseball Confederation.
MEDAL CEREMONIES
Medal Ceremonies will take place according to CACSO General Re-gulations, Chapter XIII.
First Place: A diploma for the team and a gold medal and a diploma for each athlete. Second place: A diploma for the team and a silver medal and a diplo-ma for each athlete. Third place: A diploma for the team and a bronze medal and a diplo-ma for each athlete.
DOPING CONTROL
Doping control will be done according to CACSO’s Medical Com-mission requirements, according to the corresponding International Federation Regulation and will follow the 2018 version of standards of the World Anti Doping Agency procedures (WADA).
