To fasten your seat belt, insert the tab into the buckle and adjust it by pulling the

Oxygen Masks

In case of a loss of air pressure, an oxygen mask will drop down from the service

unit above your seat. To use it:

AIRBUS / ATR / EMBRAER

Pull it towards you and place it over your nose and mouth. Pass the elastic

band around your head, adjust it by pulling the ends, and breathe normally.

Oxygen will be flowing through the mask even if the bag does not inflate.

BOEING

Reach for the nearest mask or pull the red streamer. Place the mask over

your nose and mouth, pass the elastic band around your head, and inhale

to activate the oxygen flow.

Put your mask on first before helping anyone who needs assistance. Do not remove

the mask until instructed by a crew member.

Life Vests

A life vest is located under or beside your seat. To use it, pass your head through

the opening, secure the strap around your waist and fasten it at the front. Adjust it by

pulling on the belt.

Do not inflate your life vest inside the aircraft. Once outside, inflate the vest by pulling on the

red tab or blowing into the tubes. A locator light will activate when in contact with water.

Removing life vests from the aircraft is penalized by the authorities.

Safety Cards, Call Buttons and Reading Lights

In the seatback pocket in front of you, you will find a safety information card, we

advise you to read it before take-off.

AIRBUS / ATR / EMBRAER

In the service unit above your seat (and in the handset),

you will find a reading light and call button to ask for assistance.

Non-Smoking Sign

In accordance with aviation regulations, smoking is forbidden, including electronic

cigarettes.

Tampering with smoke detectors is penalized by the authorities since it puts the

safety of the flight at risk. Thank you for your attention.

Electronic Devices

From this moment, electronic devices equipped with airplane mode must be

selected to this option. Additionally check the Wi-Fi system is deactivated. Devices

not equipped with this feature, must be turned off.

Before Take-Off

For take-off make sure your seatbelt is fastened and adjusted, your seatback is in

the upright position, the carry-on luggage stowed and locked, (the window shade

open) and tray table stowed. (Handsets, footrests, cup holders, and hooks must be

stowed and locked).

(For your safety, fold the blankets and place them in the seatback pocket or behind your back.)

We remind you that all electronic devices must be in airplane mode; if not equipped with

Oxygen Generators

Lavatories are not equipped with supplementary oxygen. In case you hear the

command “Hale y use la máscara”, get out of the lavatory, reach for the nearest

mask and follow the crew’s instructions.

Seatbelt Sign

Please remain seated with your seatbelt fastened.

OFF:

We recommend you to keep your seatbelt fastened even when the seatbelt sign is off.

Lavatory Use

The lavatory/lavatories is/are located in the middle/rear of the aircraft. Those located

at the front are for business class passengers.

If you have a connecting flight within the United States, you should go through

immigration, collect your luggage and clear customs before heading to your airline’s

connection counter.

Connections at El Dorado

Passengers who are continuing their journey to either domestic or international

destinations with Avianca, or one of our partner airlines, should make their way to

our connections counter.

Those passengers who are continuing their journey with other airlines should collect

their luggage and make their way to your airline’s counter.

Remote Parking Position

We have been assigned a remote parking position. A transfer bus will be available to

take you to the terminal.
