José Edwards no escribió cuentos, ensayos o teatro con la intención de convertirse en escritor. Escogió la literatura como la manera para desahogar sus preocupaciones existenciales, pero con un fino sentido del humor que caracteriza toda su obra. Por esta razón, la única publicación existente hasta el momento fue el homenaje póstumo que realizaron su esposa, Eduardo Anguita y otros amigos, editando “Postdata” en el año 1974, una selección de narraciones que tuvo escasa circulación. En este libro están esos cuentos y mucho más.
