The Bucas Smartex Turnout range combines superb durability and comfort for your horse across a broad range of temperatures and are considered the most versatile turnout rugs available.

Smartex Turnout, Chocolate

All of the Smartex Range can be put on a wet horse after exercise or washing and the Stay-dry lining will wick away the moisture, dry your horse and the lining will remain dry next to your horse’s skin.

The newly designed Smartex has a new patented front closure with Click’n Go front buckle and magnetic Snap-lock. It is the perfect fit with shoulder darts and Ballistic nylon shell with waterproof and breathable coating.

Select RangeThe Select Concept offers unbeatable flexibility with a range of rugs that can be combined, or used separately, to cover all weather conditions all year round.

The Select Turnout is the ideal lightweight Turnout, which when combined with any of the Select Quilts or the Select Cooler can be turned into a Turnout, covering temperatures all the way down to cold winter weather.

The Select Turnin is the indoor equivalent of the Select Turnout. On its own, it’s a lightweight stable rug with 50g of insulation and when combined with any of the Select Quilts or Select Coolers is a medium to heavy weight rug.

The Select Quilt is available either with Bucas unique Stay-dry lining or with a Silk Feel lining. The Stay-dry lining wicks moisture away from the horse eliminating rug changes when put on a wet horse and expands the temperature range at which the rug can be used. The Select Cooler is made of a 300g Stay-dry Cooler fabric with superb wicking properties. Use as an all Purpose Cooler, Travel, Stable or Under rug.

The turnout has a ballistic nylon outer, is waterproof, breathable and has a heat retentive inner aluminium coating. Shoulder darts and Click’n Go front buckle system means the Power Turnout is always the perfect fit!

The Power Turnout also comes with Stay-dry, Anti-Bacterial lining which means the rug can be put on a wet horse the same way as a sweat rug. It will quickly dry the horse and can be left on, thus avoiding extra rug changes.

Available in a Classic cut, with a Combi Neck sold separately, Big Neck and High Neck style. The Power Turnout Big Neck is a great rug for Stallions and breeds of horses that tend to be wider across the shoulders like Friesians, Andalusian and Draughts.

The Bucas 2000 Boots are made of tough outer fabric and a Stay-Dry inner lining. Cushioned padding so they will fully contour to the horse’s leg. Four straps on the front boot and five on the rear boot. Elasticated top strap on hind boot for secure fit. Available in Full and Cob in Black and Navy.

The Bucas Optima girth is anatomically shaped for extra freedom around the elbow area. It is also re-enforced so it can help protect the horse’s belly when jumping. Its high performance Bucatex lining prevents the girth from slipping without causing chaffing to the skin and the outside of the girth is aerated and wipe clean for easy care. Available in Black and Brown. Sizes: 90cm/36” – 155cm/62”.

Bucas Connect Dressage girth is made so that the girth straps slot into the girth. Hook and loop keepers over the buckles to keep straps in position. Available in black and brown. Sizes 40cm/16” – 80cm/32”.

Bucas AccessoriesSun Shower is a lightweight turnout rug, the perfect choice when all other turnout rugs are too heavy and warm. It is developed to cater for both rain and sunshine, an ideal Spring to Summer turnout.

Buzz-Off Full Neck is made from a specially developed lightweight, fine mesh fabric. The mesh blocks even the smallest of insects and reduces the effects of ultraviolet radiation.

The Buzz-Off Rain combines the benefits of the Buzz-Off mesh fabric with a waterproof and breathable upper to protect the horse from showers and rain.

Rain Protector is a waterproof and lightweight sheet designed to keep your horse and tack dry in the rain. Perfect for competition days with a loose fit to cover tack easily.

Chest Extenders are available for a majority of Bucas rugs. These are ideal for horses that are very bulky over the neck and shoulder so require extra room.

Bucas Halters are made from a soft but strong webbing. Styles available are the Dublin halter, which comes with a padded noseband and head piece, and the Comfort halter which has a wider noseband and head piece. Both have a specially shaped ring making it easier to open and close.
