se complace en presentar este nuevo catálogo de los accesorios MEGALOK en su afán de perfección y mejor servicio intentando dar la mayor información posible y ampliando su gama a las necesidades que creemos más frecuentes, fruto todo ello de nuestra constante línea de vanguardia en la variadísima producción de racordaje.

1.- MATERIALES DE CONSTRUCCIÓN

El racordaje MEGALOK de fabricación normal, se construye en tres tipos de materiales: Acero inoxidable grado 316, acero carbono y latón. En las instalaciones con tubería plástica, los anillos serán de nylón para racord de latón y de PTFE para racord de acero inoxidable. 2.- ACABADOS Los accesorios de acero inoxidable y latón se suministran decapados y pasivados y los de acero carbono fosfatados. Bajo pedido pueden suministrarse en otros tipos de acabados. 3.- SELECCIÓN DEL TUBO El tubo deberá tener un acabado superficial liso, exento de estrías con el fin de conseguir un perfecto ensamblaje de las dos anillas al mismo. Se recomienda tubo recocido ya que la menor dureza de este, respecto a los anillos, facilita así mismo un mejor cierre. 4.- DIMENSIONES

Los accesorios MEGALOK se utilizan para tubería en los dos tipos de dimensiones: Dimensiones en pulgadas (TUBE) desde 1/8”O.D. (3.17mm) a 1”O.D. (25.4mm). Dimensiones en milímetros desde 4 mm. a 25 mm. Se han previsto adaptadores mixtos para conectar tubería gas (PIPE) desde 1/8” (10.3mm) a 1/2” (21.3mm) a tubería milimétrica (TUBE) (ver Pág.19). 5.- DESIGNACIÓN PARA TES Y CRUCES Designación española D.E. (Spanish designation D.E.)

1.- MATERIALS

The usual MEGALOK fittings are made in three types of materials: 316 stainless steel, carbon steel and brass, in the plastic tubing systems, the ferrules will be in nylon for the brass fittings and in PTFE for the stainless steel fittings. 2.- FINISH The stainless steel and brass fittings are delivered pickled and pasivated and in carbon steel are delivered with a phosphate treatment. Under order we can deliver with other finish treatments. 3.- TUBE SELECTION The tube must have a smooth surface finish, without flute so as to achieve a perfect coupling of both ferrules. We recommend annealed tubing as its lower hardness in respect to the ferrules, makes easier a better sealing. 4.- DIMENSIONS

The MEGALOK fittings are used for piping in two dimensions types: Dimensions in inches from 1/8”O.D. (3.17mm) to1”O.D. (25.4mm) tube. Dimensions in millimetres from 4 mm. to 25 mm. We have prepared mixed adapters to connect gaz pipes from 1/8” (10.3mm.) to 1/2” (21.3mm.) with a milimetric tube (see page 19). 5.- DESIGNATION FOR TEES AND CROSSES Designación americana D.A. (American designation D.A.)

6.- DISEÑO

Los racores MEGALOK han sido cuidadosamente diseñados y fabricados para resistir las condiciones más exigentes.

6.- DESIGN

The MEGALOK fittings have been carefully designed and produced to resist the most demanding conditions.

Básicamente consta de un cuerpo con asiento para el tubo, dos anillos de compresión y una tuerca cierre. La unión hermética del tubo al cuerpo del racord se realiza gracias a la presión ejercida por los dos anillos sobre el tubo al ser estos presionadas por la tuerca. La función principal del anillo anterior es la de cierre, mientras que la del anillo posterior es, además, la de fijación del tubo al racord. Por su especial concepción tanto en diseño, como en la variedad de materiales en que se construye así como en sus conexiones, le permite abarcar una amplia gama de aplicaciones como puede ser:

A) Aplicaciones en vacío, bajo y media presión, siendo especialmente adecuada para trabajos de alta presión o cualquier otro en los que se exija un trabajo duro.

B) Campo de la alimentación y laboratorios. C) Resistencia a los ácidos más corrosivos. D) Empleo en instalaciones hidráulicas y gases. E) Aptos para tuberías de acero inox., acero carbono,

cobre, plástico, etc. F) Pueden emplearse para altas temperaturas y

aplicaciones criogénicas. G) Resiste las vibraciones. H) Conexiones en roscas, NPT ANSI/ASME B1.20.1,

ISO 7 R-Rp y opcional en ISO 228 y métrica DIN 3852 (ver catálogo adicional MEGALOK conexiones DIN 3852 – B y X)

I) Fácil en el montaje ya que no necesita un especial cuidado en el apriete, su particular diseño le impide realizar aprietes excesivos y perjudiciales. Un especial acabado de la rosca de las tuercas de cierre, facilita la instalación del accesorio y evita el gripaje entre ambos elementos.

Basically they are formed by a body with a seat for tubing, two compression ferrules and one lock nut. The hermetical union of the tube to the fitting body is made by means of the 2 ferrules pressure upon the tube when pressed by the nut. The main function of the front ferrules is the sealing, while the back ferrule also fixes the tubing to the fitting. Thanks to its special design, the variety of materials in which it can be produced and also its connections, it can be used in a large number of applications:

A) To work in vacuum, low and middle pressure, and it is specially appropriate to work under high pressures or when hard work is needed.

B) In the food industry and laboratories. C) Resistant to corrosive acids. D) Can be used in hydraulic and gaz systems. E) Suitable for stainless steel , carbon steel, cooper

and plastic tubes, ect. F) Can be used in high temperatures and for

criogenic uses. G) Vibration resistant. H) Screwed connections: NPT ANSI/ASME B1.20.1,

ISO 7 R-Rp and optionally in ISO 228 and metric DIN 3852 connections (see additional catalogue of DIN 3852 – B and X MEGALOK connections).

I) Very easy in its assembling as it does not need special tightness, its special design does not allow excessive tightness that could be dangerous. Special design in the nut screw, that makes easier the installation of the fittings and avoids the sticking between both elements.
