Hola amics,

Com esteu? Esperem que bé. Nosaltres som alumnes de l’escola d’adults Jacint

Verdaguer que es troba dins del Centre Penitenciari d’Homes de Barcelona. Aquesta

carta serà escrita per tots els alumnes d’aquesta escola, cada classe escriurà un

paràgraf i us explicarem com és la nostra vida aquí.

Nosaltres som ALUMNES DE CATALÀ, NIVELL 1. La majoria som estrangers- Colòmbia,

Paraguai, albània, Geòrgia, EE.UU., Itàlia, Romania, Filipines, Síria, Marroc, Perú, Països

Baixos, Nigèria, etc.-. Estudiem català perquè aquí es parla aquesta llengua i ens

agrada entendre i parlar amb la gent d’aquí, com a una manera d’integrar-nos. El

català és més fàcil que altres idiomes. S’assembla al italià i al francès. També té moltes

paraules iguals que el castellà. El què costa més del català és parlar-lo, però treballant

poc a poc podem arribar a tenir bons resultats. e canvi, entendre’l és més fàcil, no ens

costa tant. Amb el treball a classe i el nostre esforç, hem anat millorant molt. L’escola

ens trenca una mica la rutina del dia a dia de les galeries. També coneixem diferents

persones de diferents països, amb els que compartim coses noves i això ens uneix.

Desprès d’estar a classe a alguns de nosaltres ens transporta a la nostra infància, de

quan anàvem a l’escola... això és agradable. El contacte amb els/les professors/es ens

transmet tranquil·litat per la bona forma que ens tracten, ens fa sentir molt millor,

com si fos un moment de llibertat i felicitat. La nostra escola és gran. És una finestra a

nous coneixements i oportunitats. Tenim diferents aules, algunes tenen vistes a un

jardí. També tenim bons mestres que ens ajuden.

Des del català 1, dominicans, hondurenys, espanyols, eslovacs, mexicans, peruans...

estem molt contents d’escriure una carta explicant la nostra experiència d’assistir a

classe i conèixer altres persones, professors i companys. Aquesta rutina escolar ens

ajuda a desconnectar, tot aprenent un idioma nou que podrem utilitzar aquí i a fora.

Estem contents d’aprendre a parlar i escriure a poc a poc, mentre ens divertim sense

sentir-nos jutjats. Aquí, a l’escola, ens passa el temps una mica més ràpid que no pas a



la galeria. Dins de l’aula hi ha molt de companyonia. Tot i estar aquí dins, hem

d’aprofitar aquest temps en estudiar i fer diferents activitats que ens proposa l’escola,

cosa que, potser fora, no tenim tantes possibilitats. Dins d’aquest aprofitament del

temps i d’aquestes oportunitats cal remarcar que ens podem treure titulacions

d’idiomes, primària, secundària... cosa que demostra que amb esforç i treball, podem

arribar a fer grans coses.

Nosaltres som alumnes de FI-1 (aprenem a llegir i escriure) de la tarda. La nostra

escola és petita, però des de la classe veiem el jardí. Quan som a classe ens sembla que

el temps passa més ràpid així oblidem que som a la presó i poc a poc millorem el

nostre català. A l’escola ens trobem gent de totes les galeries que si no, no ens

podríem veure perquè aquí tenim 7 galeries. També hi ha tallers perquè la gent que no

te diners pugui treballar. Aquí tenim escola i cada dia fem esport. Ara estem estudiant

el cos humà i també fem matemàtiques i anem a l’aula d’informàtica. Ens acomiadem i

us desitgem bona sort i la llibertat per a tots. Esperem les vostres cartes.

Nosaltres som el grup de FI-1 del matí. A la classe aprenem a escriure i a llegir. Ens

agrada el català. Alguns portem molts anys a Catalunya i ens agrada entendre el que la

gent parla en català. També ens agrada aprendre el castellà perquè el català és una

mica difícil. Quan som a l’escola ens trobem bé perquè estem distrets i no pensem en

altres coses. També aprenem coses noves i ara sabem que si anem conduint i veiem un

cartell a la carretera el sabrem llegir i no ens perdrem i quan rebem alguna carta en

català també sabrem què diu. Estem contents de les coses que aprenem. A fora

l’escola hi ha un jardí molt bonic amb flors i una pèrgola. L’edifici de l’escola és petitó,

hi ha 9 aules, unes una mica petites i d’altres més grans. Ens agrada estudiar utilitzant

les noves tecnologies, utilitzem projectors i un cop per setmana anem als ordinadors.

L’escola organitza conferències i fa algunes activitats musicals, que ens agrada molt.

Hola amics, nosaltres som alumnes de CATALÀ NIVELL 2 del matí ; som de deferents

països : Marroc , Espanya , Colòmbia i Equador. Estem contents d’aprendre català . A



Espanya a més de parlar espanyol hi ha altres llengües com el català. És important per

a nosaltres aprendre català perquè facilita la comunicació i la integració a la societat

catalana. Quan som a l’escola ens trobem millor que a la galeria. També tenim classes

d’altres idiomes, informàtica i altres matèries. A més de l’escola, a la presó hi ha altres

activitats com esport ,arts plàstiques, biblioteca i cultes religiosos. També tenim tallers

productius per treballar i es cobra. Esperem que aquesta carta us ajudi a fer més

activitats i que tingueu molta sort, salut i llibertat.

Sóm els alumnes de català 2 de la tarda. Ens agrada l’escola perquè ens sentim molt

bé i aprenem moltes coses, però sobretot, estem aprenent a parlar i escriure una nova

llengua, estem estudiant català. Estem classe molt millor del que estem en el pati i

aquí, a classe, ens passa el temps molt ràpid. Ens agrada conèixer nous companys i a

més a més, ens serveix per quan sortim a fora, podrem utilitzar el que hem après per

reincertar-nos a la societat, treballant, estudiant o coneixent a gent. L’escola ens ajuda

a donar una bona imatge del Centre. Estem molt contents de venir a classe perquè ens

ensenyen i ens tracten molt bé.

Nosaltres som el grup de FI-2, APRENENT A LLEGIR I ESCRIURE MILLOR. A la nostra

classe som d’Espanya, Marroc, Pakistan, República Dominicana, Equador, Romania i de

Bolívia. Ens agrada estudiar i aprendre català i castellà. Podem llegir i escriure en

català. En aquest moment, estem escrivint aquesta carta i això ens serveix per

compartir idees i sentiments sobre l’escola i ens preguntem, cadascú de nosaltres, si

estem aprenent coses noves. Cadascú de nosaltres opinem que hem après coses noves

i ens adonem que és cert. Cada matí ens sentim bé, ens arreglem i sortim amb ganes

de la galeria per estudiar i aprendre. Si no veiéssim que aprenem coses, no vindríem a

l’escola. Ens sentim molt contents amb les coses que aprenem i també ens agrada

compartir aquest espai amb els nostres companys. I el més important és que nosaltres

escollim el que volem aprendre, perquè hi ha molta oferta de cursos.

Jo sóc un alumne de de FI-3 (EQUIVALENT A PRIMÀRIA PER ALS ESTUDINATS



ADULTS). M'agrada venir a l'escola per aprendre i passar el temps. Aquí desconnecto

una mica de tot el que m'envolta. Quan sóc al pati m'estresso i em deprimeixo. Això no

es bo per a mi. M'agradaria sortir d’aquí. L'escola em recorda a quan jo era petit i vaig

abandonar els meus estudis. Estic penedit perquè penso que si estigués fent alguna

cosa, ara no em vindrien les coses negatives que estic passant aquí. Penso que he fet

molt mal a la gent, sobretot a la meva família, i ara me’n penedeixo. Penso que m'estic

fent gran i vull canviar tota la meva vida. Jo he tingut problemes amb el joc i és una

malaltia mol greu.

Hola companys, som els alumnes del NIVELL TRES DE CATALÀ. Estem molt contents

durant aquest temps que fruïm d’aquesta oportunitat que tenim de millorar la llengua

d’on vivim. Som de diversos llocs del món com ara Equador, Argentina, Colòmbia i la

resta de l’Estat Espanyol. Què hem de dir del nostre professor? Que tenim molta

paciència, aquesta és mútua, i també hem de tenir molta cura, ja que si no acabem

parlant de totes les històries del món. Té la mà trencada per fer de la classe una bona

experiència. Entre nosaltres hi ha una bona sintonia, encara no ens hem barallat mai.

tot i això discutim molt de futbol en general i en particular del Barça i del Madrid. Ens

agraden molt les activitats com ara els dictats, els documentals i els exercicis

d’escoltar. Esperem les vostres cartes tot desitjant-vos que us toqui la loteria (la

llibertat) i que passeu unes bones festes i que el proper anys ens trobem fora d’aquí, al

carrer.

Hola!!! Per acomiadar aquesta carta, ho fem nosaltres: els alumnes de GES-2

(EDUCACIÓ SECUNDÀRIA). Som un grup que ja porta un temps estudiant a l’escola,

amb companys nous i d’altres que són ja veterans! Estem a punt d’acabar l’Educació

Secundària!!! Hi ha companys que per fi es trauran el graduat (després de 10 anys! la

vida dóna moltes voltes). I vosaltres, quines activitats feu? Us agrada l’escola? Pensem

que l’escola és una oportunitat que ens dóna el centre per evadir-nos de la presó i, a

més a més, aprendre. Els professors són molt bones persones i estan ben a prop de

nosaltres. Vénen a buscar-nos a les galeries; es preocupen molt; ens donen



l’oportunitat de triar com orientar la classe (què volem aprendre). Nosaltres fem

mòduls de dues setmanes, intensius. Tenim moltes matèries: castellà, català, anglès,

matemàtiques, tecnologia, ciències socials, ciències naturals, història, biologia,

filosofia, literatura, etc. A més a més, tenim un espai per a autoformació, per fer els

deures... i tallers, treballs, cursos, etc. Tenim moltes activitats laborals i ocupacionals

per estar ocupats tot el dia. I vosaltres, com ho porteu? Quines condicions teniu a la

presó? Esteu moltes hores tancats? Teniu calefacció? Aquí hi ha dues galeries que sí!

Tot i que a Barcelona gaudim de bon temps, ara ha canviat la temperatura i fa fred.

Quants menjars feu al dia? Nosaltres tenim tres menjars diaris (cada setmana el mateix

menú!). La “carn de yonki” (vedella) és el plat típic de la Model. D’altra banda, sortim a

esport dos cops al dia. Vosaltres teniu aquesta possibilitat? Trobem a faltar la família,

la llibertat i el bon menjar! Sobretot ara per Nadal.

Us fem arribar els nostres desigs: que aviat us arribi la llibertat per compartir-la amb la

gent que estimeu i trepitjar el carrer un cop més, que es troba a faltar! Que tingueu

salut i la vostra família també. Que no hi hagi més guerres ni violència al món. I que la

vostra estada al centre sigui breu i justa. A la presó no morim. De la presó sortim!

How are you? We hope you are right. We are students from the adults school Jacint

Verdaguer which is inside the Barcelona Penitentiary Centre for Men. This letter

will be written by all the students from this school, each class will write a paragraph

and we will explain how our life is here.

We are CATALAN STUDENTS, FIRST LEVEL, attending at school in the morning.

Most of us are foreigners – Colombia, Paraguay, Albania, Georgia, U.S.A, Italy,

Rumania, Philippines, Nigeria, etc-. We study Catalan because here people speak

that language and we like to understand and to talk with people from here. Catalan

is easier than other languages. It’s like Italian and French. Also, Catalan has a lot of

Spanish words. The most difficult is speaking, but if we work hard and slowly we

can obtain good goals. For us, the easiest one is understanding the language, it’s

not difficult. We are improving with the class work and our effort. Our school is big.

The school is like a window that provides us news knowledge and opportunities.

We have got different classrooms; some of them have sights to the garden. Also we

have got good teachers that help us.

From first level of catalan course, in the afternoon, Dominicans, Hondurans,

Spanish, Slovaks, Mexicans, Peruvians… we are very happy of writing a letter

explaining our experience of assisting at class and meeting other people, teachers

and mates. This school routine helps us to disconnect of the prison, learning a new

language we can use here and outside. We are happy of learning to speak and

write step by step, while we enjoy without feeling judged. Here in the school the

time goes by faster than in the gallery. Into the class there is a lot of fellowship.

Although being inside, we need to make the most of our time studying and doing

different activities proposed by the school, so that, maybe outside we could not



have many opportunities. Regarding the improvement of the time and

opportunities, we can emphasize that we can get languages, primary, secondary

certificates … which means that with effort and work we can reach big things.

We are students of FIRST LEVEL (LEARNING TO READ AND WRITE) attending at

school in the afternoon. Our school is small but from the class we see the garden.

When we are at class it seems time goes by faster. So we forget we are in prison

and step by step we improve our Catalan language. At the school, we meet from all

galleries that if not it could not be possible because here we have seven galleries.

Also there are workrooms where people who have not money can work. Here we

have school and every day we can do sport. Now we are studying the human body

and also math and we go to the computer class. We say goodbye and we wish you

good luck and freedom for everybody. We are waiting your letters.

We are students of FI1, in the morning. At class, we’re learning to write and to

read. We like Catalan language. Some of us we have been in Catalonia for a lot of

years and we like understanding Catalan people. Also, we like learning Spanish

because Catalan is a little bit difficult for us. When we are at school we feel good

because we are absentminded and we don’t think with problems. Also, we learn

new things. Now, we know that if we are driving we can read the posters on the

road and we will not lose. And when we receive a letter in Catalan we can read it.

We are happy with things that we are learning. Out of school, there is a nice garden

with flowers and a bower. The school building is small, there are nine classrooms,

some of them are small and the other ones are bigger. We like studying using new

technologies; we use projectors and one time a week, we go to computers class.

Our school organizes conferences and some music activities, we like this so much!!

Hello friends, we are students of SECOND LEVEL OF CATALAN in the morning

session. We are from different countries: morocco, Spain, Colombia and Ecuador.



We are happy to study Catalan. In Spain, besides speaking Spanish other languages

are spoken like Catalan. It’s important for us learning Catalan because it improves

the communication and integration to Catalan society. When we are at the school

we feel better than in the gallery. We also have other language classes, computer

lessons and other subjects. Beside the school, there are other activities in prison

like sport, arts, library and religious ceremonies. We also have workrooms to work

and be able to earn money. We hope this letter help you to do more activities and

good luck, health and freedom.

We are students of second level of Catalan too. We like school because we feel

very good and we learn a lot of things, but the most important is that we are

learning to speak and write a new language. We are better at school than in the

yard and here at school the time goes by faster. We like meeting new people and

in addiction that help us when we go out, we will be able to use what we have

learned to reincorporate into society, working, studying or meeting people. The

school helps us to show a good impression of the prison. We are so happy of

attending school because teachers teach and treat us good.

We are students of FI2, LEARNING TO WRITE AND READ BETTER. In our classroom,

we are from Spain, Morocco, Pakistan, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Romania and

Bolivia. We like studying and learning Catalan and Spanish. We can read and write

in Catalan. In this time, we are writing this letter and this it’s good for us to share

ideas and feelings about school. We think that we are learning new things. Every

morning we feel fine, we dressed up with our best clothes and we go out of the

gallery to study and to learn. We feel happy because we are learning and we like to

share this experience with our classmates. The most important is that we can

choose what we want to learn because there are a lot of courses.

I am a student of FI3 (PRIMARY SCHOOL FOR ADULTS). I like going to school to



learn and let the time going by. Here I disconnect a little from all that involves me.

When I am in the yard I get stressed and I feel depressed. This is not good for me. I

would like to leave this place. The school makes me remember when I was a child

and I quitted my studies. I am regretful for the things I have done; I think that if I

had not done that, the negative issues that I am suffering here would not come to

me. I think that I have hurt people, including my family and now I regret of it. I

think that I am getting older and I want change my whole life. I have had problems

with the games of chance and this is a very grave sickness.

Hello partners! We are students of CATALAN LEVEL 3. We are very happy to enjoy

the time that we are learning the language of our country. We are from different

parts of the world, like Equator, Argentina, Colombia and Spain. What can we say

about our teachers? Teachers are very patient because if we don’t take care, we

finish the class and we only are talking about world stories. Our teacher transforms

classes in a good experience. We are good classmates; we never fight in our

classroom. We always speak about football, Barça and Madrid. We love activities

like dictations, documental, listening. We are waiting your letters, we wish you

freedom and a good Christmas days. We meet outside, in the streets.

Hello, we- THE STUDENTS OF SECONDARY LEVEL- are responsible to finish this

letter. We are a group which has been studying for a few time at school with new

and old mates. We are about to finish the secondary education. Some mates, at

least, will get secondary certificate (after ten years, the life goes round). And you

which activities do you do? Do you like the school? We think the school is a good

opportunity that centre give us to evade from the prison, and furthermore, to

learn. Teachers are very good people and are close to us. They come to find us in

the gallery, they take care of us and they give us the chance to choose the way to

run the class (what we want to learn). We study on intensive lessons during two

weeks. We have a lot of subjects- Spanish, Catalan, English, Math, Technology,



Social Science, etc. In addition, we have a self-learning place to do homework ...

and workshops, courses, etc. We have a lot of vocational activities to be busy every

day. And what about you? Which conditions do you have in jail? Do you stay a lot

of time closed? Do you have heating? Here there are a couple of galleries that yes.

Although in Barcelona we enjoy good weather, now the temperature has changed

and is cold. How many meals do you have daily? We have three meals daily (each

week we have the same menu). The “yonki meat” (beef) is the tipical Model dish.

However, we go out to practice sport two times every day. Do you have this

possibility? We miss very much the family, the freedom and good meals.

Especially now, on Christmastime, we want to wish our best desire. We look

forward for your freedom, in order to share it with all people you love, and come to

the street once more. We miss it. We wish health for you and your family as well.

Neither more wars nor violence in the world. We want you stay in jail not only for a

short period of time but also in a fairy way. We do not die in jail. From prison

always go out for freedom.

¿Cómo estáis? Esperamos que bien. Nosotros somos alumnos de la Escuela

de Adultos Jacint Verdaguer que se encuentra dentro del Centro Penitenciario

de Hombres de Barcelona. Esta es la carta que hemos escrito todos los

alumnos de esta escuela, cada clase ha escrito un párrafo y os explicamos

cómo es nuestra vida aquí.

Nosotros somos estudiantes de CASTELLANO NIVEL 1 y somos de diferentes

países: Georgia, Bélgica, Corea, Polonia, Nigeria, Romanía, Marruecos y

Serbia. Vamos a la escuela por varias razones: para comunicarme con otras

personas, porque me recuerda la infancia, para aprender la lengua castellana,

para pasar el tiempo, porque estoy bien en la clase, y para estudiar.

Nosotros somos un grupo de ALUMNOS DE FI 1 (ESTAMOS APRENDIENDO

A LEER Y ESCRIBIR) en castellano y en catalán. Estamos en la cárcel

esperando la libertad. Hay días que estamos bien y tranquilos pero otros días

estamos mal y nerviosos, pensando en la familia, pero cuando venimos a clase

estamos contentos y queremos aprender a escribir, a leer y hablar bien. Los

profesores nos ayudan en clase. Antes no sabíamos nada y ahora ya sabemos

escribir y leer un poco. Eso está mejor que antes, estamos contentos.

Nosotros somos los ALUMNOS DE FI1 (ESTAMOS APRENDIENDO A LEER

Y ESCRIBIR). Gracias a Dios que tenemos buenas profesoras para ayudarnos

a aprender a escribir. Somos de Barcelona, de Marruecos, de Pakistán.

Nosotros estamos en la cárcel y hemos aprendido que hay cosas malas que no

vamos a repetir para no volver a entrar aquí. Enviamos un saludo a todo el

mundo y os deseamos la libertad. Tenemos muchas ganas de leer vuestras

cartas.

Hola buenos días a todos, somos el grupo de CASTELLANO NIVEL 2. Somos

de diferentes países como Francia, Inglaterra, China, Georgia, Polonia, Rusia,



Bulgaria, Albania y Serbia. Hablamos diferentes idiomas pero en clase sólo nos

dejan hablar castellano. Estamos satisfechos con el trabajo que hemos hecho

hasta hoy, pero sabemos que aún podemos mejorar más. Suerte a todos y

pensad que la cárcel es difícil pero la libertad es seguro que llegara un día.

Nunca bajéis los brazos somos hombres y somos fuertes. Adiós.

Somos otra clase de FI1 (ESTAMOS APRENDIENDO A LEER Y ESCRIBIR)

de la tarde, queremos contaros como nos sentimos al venir a la escuela. En

clase nos sentimos mejor, felices y contentos. Durante una hora y media

olvidamos que estamos en la cárcel. los profesores y profesoras nos hacen

sentir mejores personas. También queremos decir que venir a la escuela nos

ayuda a conocer gente de otras culturas y religiones y crear una amistad con

ellos que quizás en la galería no hablaríamos con ellos. También de agradecer

que los temas de conversación en la escuela sean diferentes, mucho más

agradables y positivos.

Nosotros somos el grupo de FI2 (ESTAMOS APRENDIENDO A LEER Y

ESCRIBIR) de la mañana. Ya sabemos leer y escribir en catalán y en

castellano. También hacemos matemáticas e informática. Nos gusta hacer

actividades todos juntos porque conocemos mucha gente, nos ayudamos

mutuamente con el fin de aprender más. Ahora estamos mejorando más, poco

a poco. Muchas gracias a todos los profesores por la paciencia que tienen con

nosotros que, sin su esfuerzo, no habría sido posible aprender a leer y a

escribir. Cuando entramos, no sabíamos nada y ahora ya sabemos que el día

que salgamos, habremos aprendido muchas cosas más. Los profesores cada

día están pendientes de cada uno de nosotros, si salimos a clase, si nos han

trasladado a otro centro… Esperamos que cada uno de vosotros tengáis este

apoyo igual que lo tenemos nosotros.

Somos alumnos de la clase de CASTELLANO DE NIVEL 3, y somos de los

siguientes países: Marruecos, Gambia, Alemania, Rusia, Siria, Nigeria, Brasil y

Rumanía y somos de religiones diferentes pero vivimos juntos como hermanos.



Estamos aprendiendo muchas cosas como mejorar nuestro nivel de lectura,

escritura y conversación. Y cuando salgamos nos serán de utilidad.

Estamos satisfechos con nuestros profesores y nos encontramos mejor en la

clase que en la galería, en la clase nos olvidamos que estamos en la cárcel.

Aunque nos gustaría pasear por las calles de Barcelona. A través de este

proyecto nos hemos podido poner en contacto con vosotros, os enviamos un

saludo y esperamos vuestra respuesta. Salud y libertad.

Somos el grupo de FI3 (ESTAMOS APRENDIENDO A LEER Y ESCRIBIR) de

la escuela. ¡Vamos adelante, para atrás ni para coger impulso! Me gusta hacer

cosas que nunca había hecho antes. Estar en clase me recuerda a mi infancia.

Me gusta venir a la escuela porque consigo un nivel A de SAM y me ayuda a

salir de permiso. Además me siento bien con el profesor de la escuela porque

era profesor mío en el instituto. Gracias a venir a la escuela puedo desconectar

de que estoy encerrado entre cuatro muros y sin libertad. Al mismo tiempo veo

que aquí en clase puedo hacer cosas que fuera no haría. Hay que decir que

en la cárcel hay cucarachas y a veces también en la comida he encontrado

algún gusano. Os deseamos una feliz navidad i un feliz fin de año. Un fuerte

abrazo, ánimos y fuerzas.

Somos de la clase de GES 1, primer nivel de la secundaria. Estamos muy

contentos de venir a clase ya que desconectamos de la realidad de la cárcel al

mismo tiempo que aprendemos y recordamos cosas que se nos habían

olvidado con el paso del tiempo. Tenemos muy buenos maestros que nos

apoyan mucho y que sin ellos seguro que nuestra condena seria más dura.

Deseamos que aprovechéis al máximo vuestro tiempo en la escuela y que

aprendáis mucho como nosotros lo estamos haciendo. Os deseamos suerte,

salud y libertad, porque los años se derrotan.

We are STUDENTS OF SPANISH LEVEL 1 class and we are from different

countries: Georgia, Belgium, Korea, Poland, Nigeria, Romania, Morocco and

Serbia. We go to the school for a lot of reasons: to communicate with other

people, because it reminds me my childhood, to learn the Spanish language, to

spend the time, because I am fine in my class and to study.

We are a group of students that we are the FIRST LEVEL (LEARNING TO READ

AND WRITE) in Spanish and Catalan. We are in prison waiting for freedom.

Sometimes we feel good and calm but other days we feel bad and nervous,

thinking about the family, but when we are in class we feel happy and we want

to learn how to write, read and speak fine. Our teachers help us during the

class. Before we didn’t know anything and now we already know how to write

and read a little bit more. This is better than before, we are happy.

We are students of the FIRST LEVEL (LEARNING TO READ AND WRITE) from

afternoon. This means that we learn to write and read. Thanks god we have

very good teachers for helping us to learn to write. We are from Barcelona,

Morocco and Pakistan. We are in prison and we have learned that there are

bad things that we didn’t forget, not to entry never again, because this is not

paradise. We send you a message for all of you, and we wish you freedom and

we want to read the letters from you.

Hello good morning for all of you, we are the group of SPANISH LEVEL 2. We

are from different countries like France, England, China, Georgia, Poland,



Russia, Bulgaria, Albania and Serbia. We speak different languages but in our

class only we can speak Spanish. We are satisfied with our job, but we know

we can improve much more. We wish you luck for all and think about the prison

is hard, but the freedom will arrive one day. Be strong. Good bye and good luck.

We are another FIRST LEVEL (LEARNING TO READ AND WRITE) class from

afternoon, we want to explain our feelings when we are in the school. We feel

better at class: happy and satisfied. During one hour and half, we forget that we

are in prison. Teachers make us feel better people. We want to say as well that

going to school helps us to meet people from other cultures and religions and

creates a friendship with them, who –maybe– we wouldn’t talk to being in the

gallery. We want to thank as well for the topics in our conversations at school

time, because they sound different: much more friendly and positive.

We are from the SECOND LEVEL (LEARNING TO READ AND WRITE) group in the

morning. We can already read and write in Catalan and Spanish. We can make

maths and computing too. We like taking activities each other in order to learn

much more. Now we are improving much more and slowly. We thank to all

teachers for the patience that they have with us because –without their effort – it

wouldn’t have been possible to learn to read and write. When we started, we

knew nothing at all and now we are sure that we’ll have learned a lot of things

the day we’ll be free. Teachers take care of each one of us every day: if we

come to school, if we’ve been transferred to another centre… We hope that

each one of you could have this help as we have.

We are students from STUDENTS OF SPANISH LEVEL 3 and we are from

these countries: Morocco, Gambia, Germany, Russia, Siria, Nigeria, Brazil and

Romania and we have different religions but we live together like family. We are

learning a lot of things to improve our level of reading, writing and spoken.

When we get out from here, it will be useful. We are satisfied with our teachers

and we feel better in class than in the gallery, because in class we forget that

we are in prison, though we would like walking on the streets of Barcelona.



Thanks of this project we can keep in touch with you, we send you hugs and

one message of love. We are waiting for your answers. Cheers and freedom.



We are the group of THIRD LEVEL (LEARNING TO READ AND WRITE). Come on,

let’s go! I like doing things that I never did before. To be in class it reminds my

childhood. I like going to the school because I get a level A of SAM and it helps

me to get out. Furthermore I feel good with the teacher of the school because

he was my teacher from my Secondary School. Thanks for going to the school I

can disconnect from the walls. At the same time I can do many things in class.

I have to say that in prison there are a lot of beatles and sometimes there are

caterpillars inside the food. We wish you a merry Xmas and a happy new year.

We are the class of THE FIRST LEVEL OF SECONDARY SCHOOL. We are

very happy to be in class because we disconnect from the reality of the prison,

at the same time we learn and remember old times or experiences that we

forget. We have very good teachers that help us, without them our sentence

would be very hard. We wish you take advantage of your time in the school and

learning so much like us. We wish you luck, health and freedom because last

year is going to be difficult.
