Vivim un moment clau per al sector tèxtil i l’àmbit de la indústria en general. I és que alguns indicadors apunten ja a una reactivació, després d’un dels daltabai-xos econòmics més traumàtics i, sens dubte, més globals de les últimes dècades. Els empresaris han passat els darrers anys remant contracorrent, en molts moments gairebé en solitari, per intentar superar una situació complica-da, fent front a la manca de finançament o a la competència ferotge d’Orient, entre altres adversitats. Avui, davant els símptomes de reacció que es comencen a palpar, les Adminis-tracions públiques hem de facilitar eines útils i contribuir a empènyer la iniciati-va empresarial i l’emprenedoria. Aquesta fira BSTIM és un clar exemple de suma d’esforços: els agents públics i privats, construint aliances, hem d’acabar impulsant novament la nostra indústria i, per extensió, el conjunt de la nostra economia.

WEAVING ALLIANCES

The textile sector and industry in general are living through a key moment.Some signs are already pointing to an economic recovery after one of the most traumatic economic disasters and undoubtedly the most global one of the past decades. Business people have been struggling against the current these past years, often on their own, in order to overcome a difficult situation, facing the lack of financing or the fierce competition from the East, among other setbacks. Today, in the view of the signs of recovery that we can feel, the public adminis-trations must provide business enterprise and enterprising ideas with useful tools and contribute to driving its activity. This BSTIM fair is a clear example of joint efforts: public and private agents by building alliances must encourage our industry again and, by extension, the whole of our economy.

Sra Joana Ortega i Alemany, Vicepre-sidenta del Govern de la Generalitat de Catalunya, Sr. Joan Domènech, president de Fira d’Igualada, i Sr. Antonio Egea, president de L'Agrupa-ció Tèxtil Fagepi, i comptarà també amb l’assistència de l’Il·lm. Sr. Marc Castells i Berzosa, alcalde d’Igualada i altres autoritats.

CONCURS DE DISSENY“KNITTING DREAMS” PER A JOVES DISSENYADORS25 DE FEBRER, 12H, RECINTE FIRALPer tal de mostrar les capacitats de la indústria local dins de la fira BSTIM s’ha creat el concurs de disseny “Knitting Dreams” destinat a joves dissenyadors, i organitzat en col·laboració amb l’Escola Superior de Disseny Felicidad Duce de Barce-lona. El concurs ha seleccionat 25 peces, principalment de gènere de punt, creades per joves estudiants de disseny de moda i han estat produïdes per empreses industrials locals.Totes les peces es podran veure exposades a BSTIM. El jurat del concurs ha estat el mateix Grup d’Advisors de BSTIM, i ha tingut en compte aspectes com la creativitat i originalitat, la industrialització, comercialit-zació, innovació pràctica i el missatge. El premi pel disseny guanyador és una estada de pràctiques professionals en una empresa del sector.El guanyador serà revelat públicament el 25 de febrer a les 12h al mateix recinte firal de BSTIM.

COCKTAIL NETWORKING25 DE FEBRER, 19H, RECINTE FIRALDesprés d’una llarga jornada de treball, s’ha planificat un cocktail informal a peu dret, un moment de trobada relaxat obert a tots els professionals acreditats a BSTIM. L’acte tindrà lloc el 25 de febrer a les 19h, un cop es tanqui les portes de la fira, al mateix recinte firal.

EXPOSICIÓ “ANOIA, EL PUNT D’ORIGEN DE LA MODA”25 I 26 DE FEBRER, DE 10-19H,Fàbrica Esteve Aguilera S.A. (Sita Murt), c/Sor Rita Mercader, 22 (a 3 minuts caminant de BSTIM)Es pot visitar aquesta exposició sobre la història tèxtil de la comarca de l’Anoia només durant els dos dies que dura BSTIM. A través d’imatges i productes, retrocedim als orígens de la moda per entendre com s’evoluciona des de la confecció de draps fins a la confecció de jerseis.

The opening ceremony will consist of a route along all the stands of the fair and will be presided by the Honorable Ms. Joana Ortega i Alemany, Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Mr. Joan Domènech, President of Fira d’Igualada, and Mr. Antonio Egea, President of the Agrupació Tèxtil Fagepi, and will also have the presence of the Mayor of

Igualada Distinguished Mr.Marc Castells i Berzosa and other authorities.

DESIGN CONTEST“KNITTING DREAMS” FOR YOUNG DESIGNERS

FEBRUARY 25TH, 12H, FAIR GROUNDSThe design contest “Knitting Dreams” for young designers has

been created in order to show the abilities of the local industry in the fair BSTIM. It has been organized in collaboration with

the Escola Superior de Disseny Felicidad Duce (Higher School of Design Felicidad Duce) of Barcelona.

The contest has selected 25 pieces of clothing, mainly knitting, created by young students of fashion design which have been manufactured by local industrial

enterprises.All the garments will be exhibited at BSTIM.

The jury of this contest has been the same Group of Advisors of BSTIM and has taken into account aspects such as creativity and originality, industrialization,

marketing, practical innovation and its message.The prize of the winning design is a traineeship at one

of the companies of the sector.The winner will be publicly disclosed on February 25th

at 12h at the fair grounds of BSTIM.

COCKTAIL NETWORKINGFEBRUARY 25TH, 19H, FAIR GROUNDS

An informal cocktail standing has been planned after a long day’s work for all the professionals credited at BSTIM, a relaxed

moment to meet each other. The event will take place on February 25th at 19h on the same fair grounds once the doors are

closed.

ASEGEMA is the Business People Association of the textile sector in the Maresme area and it is considered the business representation of the Circular Knitwear Cluster in Catalonia and Spain. Sra Joana Ortega i Alemany, Vicepre-sidenta del Govern de la Generalitat de Catalunya, Sr. Joan Domènech, president de Fira d’Igualada, i Sr. Antonio Egea, president de L'Agrupa-ció Tèxtil Fagepi, i comptarà també amb l’assistència de l’Il·lm. Sr. Marc Castells i Berzosa, alcalde d’Igualada i altres autoritats.

CONCURS DE DISSENY“KNITTING DREAMS” PER A JOVES DISSENYADORS25 DE FEBRER, 12H, RECINTE FIRALPer tal de mostrar les capacitats de la indústria local dins de la fira BSTIM s’ha creat el concurs de disseny “Knitting Dreams” destinat a joves dissenyadors, i organitzat en col·laboració amb l’Escola Superior de Disseny Felicidad Duce de Barce-lona. El concurs ha seleccionat 25 peces, principalment de gènere de punt, creades per joves estudiants de disseny de moda i han estat produïdes per empreses industrials locals.Totes les peces es podran veure exposades a BSTIM. El jurat del concurs ha estat el mateix Grup d’Advisors de BSTIM, i ha tingut en compte aspectes com la creativitat i originalitat, la industrialització, comercialit-zació, innovació pràctica i el missatge. El premi pel disseny guanyador és una estada de pràctiques professionals en una empresa del sector.El guanyador serà revelat públicament el 25 de febrer a les 12h al mateix recinte firal de BSTIM.

COCKTAIL NETWORKING25 DE FEBRER, 19H, RECINTE FIRALDesprés d’una llarga jornada de treball, s’ha planificat un cocktail informal a peu dret, un moment de trobada relaxat obert a tots els professionals acreditats a BSTIM. L’acte tindrà lloc el 25 de febrer a les 19h, un cop es tanqui les portes de la fira, al mateix recinte firal.

EXPOSICIÓ “ANOIA, EL PUNT D’ORIGEN DE LA MODA”25 I 26 DE FEBRER, DE 10-19H,Fàbrica Esteve Aguilera S.A. (Sita Murt), c/Sor Rita Mercader, 22 (a 3 minuts caminant de BSTIM)Es pot visitar aquesta exposició sobre la història tèxtil de la comarca de l’Anoia només durant els dos dies que dura BSTIM. A través d’imatges i productes, retrocedim als orígens de la moda per entendre com s’evoluciona des de la confecció de draps fins a la confecció de jerseis.

The opening ceremony will consist of a route along all the stands of the fair and will be presided by the Honorable Ms. Joana Ortega i Alemany, Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Mr. Joan Domènech, President of Fira d’Igualada, and Mr. Antonio Egea, President of the Agrupació Tèxtil Fagepi, and will also have the presence of the Mayor of

Igualada Distinguished Mr.Marc Castells i Berzosa and other authorities.

DESIGN CONTEST“KNITTING DREAMS” FOR YOUNG DESIGNERS

FEBRUARY 25TH, 12H, FAIR GROUNDSThe design contest “Knitting Dreams” for young designers has

been created in order to show the abilities of the local industry in the fair BSTIM. It has been organized in collaboration with

the Escola Superior de Disseny Felicidad Duce (Higher School of Design Felicidad Duce) of Barcelona.

The contest has selected 25 pieces of clothing, mainly knitting, created by young students of fashion design which have been manufactured by local industrial

enterprises.All the garments will be exhibited at BSTIM.

The jury of this contest has been the same Group of Advisors of BSTIM and has taken into account aspects such as creativity and originality, industrialization,

marketing, practical innovation and its message.The prize of the winning design is a traineeship at one

of the companies of the sector.The winner will be publicly disclosed on February 25th

at 12h at the fair grounds of BSTIM.

COCKTAIL NETWORKINGFEBRUARY 25TH, 19H, FAIR GROUNDS

An informal cocktail standing has been planned after a long day’s work for all the professionals credited at BSTIM, a relaxed

moment to meet each other. The event will take place on February 25th at 19h on the same fair grounds once the doors are

closed.

Vivim un moment clau per al sector tèxtil i l’àmbit de la indústria en general. I és que alguns indicadors apunten ja a una reactivació, després d’un dels daltabai-xos econòmics més traumàtics i, sens dubte, més globals de les últimes dècades. Els empresaris han passat els darrers anys remant contracorrent, en molts moments gairebé en solitari, per intentar superar una situació complica-da, fent front a la manca de finançament o a la competència ferotge d’Orient, entre altres adversitats. Avui, davant els símptomes de reacció que es comencen a palpar, les Adminis-tracions públiques hem de facilitar eines útils i contribuir a empènyer la iniciati-va empresarial i l’emprenedoria. Aquesta fira BSTIM és un clar exemple de suma d’esforços: els agents públics i privats, construint aliances, hem d’acabar impulsant novament la nostra indústria i, per extensió, el conjunt de la nostra economia.

WEAVING ALLIANCES

The textile sector and industry in general are living through a key moment.Some signs are already pointing to an economic recovery after one of the most traumatic economic disasters and undoubtedly the most global one of the past decades. Business people have been struggling against the current these past years, often on their own, in order to overcome a difficult situation, facing the lack of financing or the fierce competition from the East, among other setbacks. Today, in the view of the signs of recovery that we can feel, the public adminis-trations must provide business enterprise and enterprising ideas with useful tools and contribute to driving its activity. This BSTIM fair is a clear example of joint efforts: public and private agents by building alliances must encourage our industry again and, by extension, the whole of our economy.
