El trasfondo del hebreo
•Parte de la familia de idiomas semitas (que incluye el hebreo, el árabe, el arameo, el akadiano, entre otros.)
•Las consonantes se basan originalmente en pictogramas cuyos nombres comenzaban con esa consonante.
•El “idioma de Canaan” (Is. 19:18)
•Casi desapareció como idioma hablado por cientos de años y fue revivificado en el siglo 20 cuando se re-establecía la nación de Israel.

TPKDGB1.El dagesh lene se debe poner en el seno de estas letras cuando no son precedidas por una vocal o shewa vocalizado.2.Con el dagesh lene, se da una pronunciación dura del consonante. Sin el dagesh lene, es más suave el sonido de la letra.

Práctica
1.Escriban por lo menos tres veces todas las consonantes en orden, de derecha a izquierda.
2.Practiquen la lectura de las consonantes con varias vocales, con el ejercicio B, 1-3 de Eickmann, p. 8. (En la próxima lección miraremos las vocales.)
3.Miren el Salmo 119, como la estructura es un acróstico—cada sección de 8 versículos comienza con la misma letra en hebreo.
