Where we are


The building is a former Hoffmann furnace for bricks production. In 4700 m2 several laboratories and the offices of our personal are hosted.

Chemical and instrumental laboratories equipped with all standard instrumentation necessary to carry out qualitative and quantitative analysis of solids, liquid solutions and gaseous streams.

Typical use: study of industrial application of dielectric MW heating




Experimental set-up for gas separation membrane testing

Typical use: evaluation of the performances of innovative gas separation membranes at high temperature (energy and petrochemical industry)




Photocatalytic reduction test facility

Typical use: reduction of pollutants concentration (for instance, NOx) in gas stream through exposure to light over photocatalytic materials (TiO2 charged concrete)

UtilitiesCPTM has all the utilities necessary to carry out pilot scale experimentations in the field of the chemical engineering: Diathermic oil loop with a 700 kW

heater; Steam generator (1000 kg/h of

steam at 1.2 MPa); Cooling tower (500,000 kCal/h, 100

m3/h cooling water; Compressed air at 2 MPa; Demineralized water (reverse

osmosis, ionic exchange resins).

Study of the photocatalytic application of TiO2 for the abatement of inorganic pollutants typical of urban areas.

Research project supported by an association of 4 companies with a 100% private funding of 300,000 €.

use in a nuclear power plant Realization of a pilot plant capable

of testing, at high temperature and pressure, moisture adsorption on different types of desiccants and the reaction of catalytic recombination between hydrogen and oxygen.
