GRADED RECITATION SCOPE – Study the ff: A. EQUAL PROTECTION – Art. III, Sec. 1 B. Section 1. No person shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process of law, nor shall any person be denied the equal protection of the laws. Equal Protection: Political, Economic and Social Equali ty constitutional provisions Art. II, Sec. 11 [free access to the courts], Section 11. The State values the dignity of every human person and guarantees full respect for human rights. Sec. 14 [equality of women & men] Section 14. The State r ecognizes the role of women in nation-building, and shall ensure the fundamental equality before the law of women and me n. Sec. 26 [public service] Section 26. The State shall guarantee equal access to opportunities for public service and prohibit political dynasties as may be defined by law. Art. VIII, Sec. 5(5) [legal aid to the poor] (5) Promulgate rules concerning the protection and enforcement of constitutional rights, pleading, practice, and procedure in all courts, the admission to the practice of law, the integrated bar, and legal assistance to the under-privileged. Such rules shall provide a simplified and inexpensive procedure for the speedy disposition of cases, shall be uniform for all courts of the same grade, and shall not diminish, increase, or modify substantive rights. Rules of procedure of special courts and quasi-judicial bodies shall remain effective unless disapproved by the Supreme Court. Art. IX – C. Sec. 10 [protection of candidates] Section 10. Bona fide candidates for any public office shall be free from any form of harassment and discrimination. Art. XII, Sec. 2, par. 2 [reservation of marine resources], Sec. 10 [nationalization of business] The State shall protect the nation's marine wealth in its archipelagic waters, territorial sea, and exclusive economic zone, and re serve its use and enjoyment exclusively to Filipino citizens. Art. XIII, Secs. 1 & 2 [social justice], Sec. 3 [protection to labor] Section 1. The Congress shall give highest priority to the enactment of measures that protect and enhance the right of all the people to human dignity, reduce social, economic, and political inequalities, and remove cultural inequities by equitably diffusing wealth and political power for the common good. To this end, the State shall regulate the acquisition, ownership, use, and disposition of property and its increments. Section 2. The promotion of social justice shall include the commitment to create economic opportunities based on freedom of initiative and self-reliance.
