-buenas tardes para todos, me complace poder saludarlos e invitarles a ver este nuevo programa

cientfico.

Mi nombre es Leonardo Flrez y soy su presentador en Magazn Cientfico.

En esta ocasin contamos con la presencia de dos cientficos colombianos muy reconocidos a nivel

internacional; ellos son ngela y Javier Curi, quienes nos hablarn sobre un tema muy conocido y

discutido en estos das: La contaminacin area.

Empezamos.

Hola, muchachos, quin de ustedes puede decirme qu es la contaminacin area?

ngela:

-por su puesto, Leo, lo dir yo. Air pollution is the introduction of chemicals, particulate matter, or

biological materials that cause harm or discomfort to humans or other living organisms, or cause

damage to the natural environment or built environment, into the atmosphere.

Presentador:

-gracias. Ahora me pueden decir qu provoca esa contaminacin?

Javier:

-Claro, Leonardo. Pollutants can be classified as primary or secondary. Usually, primary pollutants

are directly emitted from a process, such as ash from a volcanic eruption, the carbon monoxide

gas from a motor vehicle exhaust or sulfur dioxide released from factories. Secondary pollutants

are not emitted directly. Rather, they form in the air when primary pollutants react or interact. An

important example of a secondary pollutant is ground level ozone one of the many secondary

pollutants that make up photochemical smog. Some pollutants may be both primary and

secondary: that is, they are both emitted directly and formed from other primary pollutants.

Presentador:

-Muy bien, entonces podemos decir que en este lugar ay contaminacin en el aire?

ngela:

-S, Leonardo, es algo extrao, pero las personas que fuman, conservan algo de ese humo que

inhalan y mientras respiran lo mandan al medio en el que no encontramos, otra vez. Debemos ser

muy cuidadosos con esas personas. Alejarlas, si es posible.

-Ya para terminar nuestro programa, me gustara que nos dijeran algunas recomendaciones para

cuidar nuestro medio ambiente y prevenir la contaminacin area.

ngela:

-Leo, los consejos se resumen en uno. La clave para cuidar nuestro medio ambiente es RECICLAR.

Javier:

-Eso es cierto ngela, y para prevenir la contaminacin area yo les dejo estos consejos:

Fomentar el uso de medios de transporte pblico y/o no contaminante. No dejar encendidos los pilotos en estufas y calentadores de agua mientras no estn siendo utilizados. Utilizar combustibles diferentes a la lea, papel o cartn para calefaccin o para cocinar.

Conservar rea verde en sus casas. Forestar las zonas desprovistas de vegetacin.

In this occasion we have the presence of two highly recognized Colombian scientists at an

international level, they are Angela and Javier Curi, who will talk about a very know and discussed

topic nowadays: The air pollution.

-Yes, leonardo, its really weird, but people who smoke , retain some of that smoke they inhale and

as they breathe they send to the environment, again. We have to be very careful with this kind of

people. Get away from them as posible as we can.

Host:

-And now, to finish our program, I would like people give us some recommendations to take care

our environment and prevent the air pollution

ngela:

-Leo, our advices get resumed in one. The key to take care our environment is to RECLYCLE.

Javier:

-thats truengela, And to prevent the air pollution, here this advices:

Encourage the use of public transport and / or non-polluting. Do not leave burning stoves pilots and water heaters when theyre notin use. Use fuels different from the wood, paper or paperboard for heating or cooking.

Preserve green space in their homes. Forest areas devoid of vegetation.
