El Inti Raymi o fiesta del Sol fue la festividad religiosa ms importante durante el

tiempo de los Incas. Hasta el da de hoy se sigue representando, tomando lugar cada

! de "unio en el comple"o de Sacsayhuamn # $usco. Hace ms de seis siglos el inca

%achac&tec instituy' la (iesta al )ios Sol, era una ceremonia inca *ue se reali+aa

con carcter anual en el $usco, la capital del -aantinsuyo, entre el periodo final de la

cosecha y el inicio invernal de los /ndes. El Inti Raymi es e*uivalente a lo *ue hoy esla fiesta de a0o nuevo.

1a fiesta en honor al )ios Sol, se desarrolla por un da en tres escenarios hist'ricos y

naturales2

El 3ori4ancha *ue significa $erco de oro2 Es donde inicia la fiesta a las 5266am y en

donde un incaficticio reali+a una invocaci'n al Sol.

-erminada la primera parte de la escenificaci'n en el3ori4ancha, el Inca "unto a su

s7*uito real se dirigen en procesi'n hasta la %la+a de /rmas, en donde se reali+a la

ceremonia de la $oca y se hace una invocaci'n a los /pus.

8s tarde el elenco se dirige hacia el par*ue ar*ueol'gico de Sa*sayaman, donde

ms de 96 mil personas aguardan la ceremonia central. E:actamente a la ;.!< de la

tarde, el sonido de los pututos indica el ingreso de los representantes de los $uatro

Suyus, *uienes aparecen con su ropa tradicional y al ritmo de la m&sica y dan+as de

sus lugares de origen.

(inalmente ingresa el In4a, *uien procede al sacrificio de unaalpacapara anunciar el a0o

venidero. %ara terminar elInca se pone de pie, extiende los brazos hacia el horizonte y

rinde homenaje al Inti elevando dos grandes vasos de oro llenos de chicha; con esa

accin se da por terminada la ceremonia.

En mi opinin es muy importante la difusin de la cultura prehispnica y

sobretodo de una esta tan signicativa en el mundo andino como lo es el

Inti Raymi. Esta esta es solo algunas de las tantas festividades que se

llevan a cabo en el Per y por las cuales deberamos sentirnos muy

orgullosos.

Pero tambi!n es muy importante resaltar todas estas maravillas quetenemos como lo es el El "ori#ancha y el parque $aqsay%aman& las cuales

como patrimonio cultural deben ser cuidadas y preservadas por todos

aquellos quienes las visitan.

In my opinion the spread of the prehispanic culture and especially such a

signicant party in the 2ndean %orld as is the Inti Raymi is very important.
