La situación actual del sector ofrece un panorama en el que la rehabilitación y la innovación apa-recen como los motores principales de actividad. Se ha de aprovechar el gran número de edificios existentes y realizar rehabilitaciones con nuevos productos que los mejoren ostensiblemente.

Con estas ponencias pretendemos asomarnos a lo que la industria y la investigación están haciendo al respecto, mostrando que ambas caras se complementan y son más que factibles, recomendables.

The current situation provides an overview of the sector in which the rehabilitation and innova-tion are the main drivers of the activity. The potencial renovations of a large number of existing buildings should include new products that improve significantly its performance.

The aim of these lectures is to show what the industry and the research groups are working, showing that both sides are complementary and are more than feasible, advisable.
