ESCUELA EN ESPAÑA

Nuestra escuela está situada en Montemayor de Pililla, un pequeño pueblo vallisoletano a unos treinta kilómetros de la capital, Valladolid. Eso nos da todos los beneficios de la zona rural y la cercanía a la ciudad, en la que podemos disfrutar de todos los servicios culturales, sociales, médicos,… La escuela no tiene muchos alumnos, en total somos 38 niños repartidos en Educación Infantil y Primaria. Esto crea un ambiente muy bueno de trabajo, todos nos conocemos y jugamos juntos, aprendiendo unos de otros.

Our school is located in a small village close to Valladolid. There are only 38 students and 6 teachers. For this reason, we work in a familiar way, in which our students feel more confortable. We are involved in a lot of different activities, which

develop in pupils self confidence, collaboration, cooperation and work group feelings. The realitions ships with the rest of educative community is very fluent and the impresión of the school on the villaje it is very important and known.

Las características de nuestro centro. Nuestro colegio es un colegio público y rural. Su organización es diferente a los colegios de la capital o de pueblos con mayor población donde los niños son se-parados por edad y grupos. Our school is

very small and we organized it taking into account these singular characteristics. It is different from bigger schools.

El horario escolar es de 9horas a 14, con un descanso de 30 minutos. Por las tar-des el centro está abierto y los alumnos acuden a él para realizar actividades ex-traescolares: multideporte, informática, inglés,… esas actividades son de 16:00 a 18:00 y de carácter voluntario. We work from 9 to 14 and students have 30 minutes free. Pupils can come to

the school from 16:00 to 18:00 in order to carry out some extra activities: computers, sports, English…. These activities are not compulsory.

Los maestros trabajan 25 horas semanales de docencia directa, con alumnos y permanecen en el centro 5 horas más para realizar tareas académicas: programaciones, reuniones con padres, … Teachers work 25 hours with pupils and 5 hours to do teaching activities:

programming, interviews ,…

Podemos diferenciar a los maestros en dos grupos: tutores y especialistas. En los colegios españoles hay profesores que imparten las áreas instrumentales (matemáticas, lengua, conocimiento, artística ) y los especialistas: educación física, inglés, música y educación infantil. Un profesor especialista puede ejercer de tutor, pero un tutor sin especialidad no podrá dar música o inglés. We can distinguish between tutor (who teaches maths,

language, science..) and specialist teachers (gym, music, English, religium, infantil )

Educación Primaria: 27 alumnos, re-partidos en 9, 12 y 6. Primary clases: 9, 12

Nuestro centro está formado por tres edificios de piedra, las antiguas escuelas. En el edi-ficio principal están las aulas de 2º y 3er ciclo, aula de ordenadores, dirección y material.
