COMPRESOR:El compresor es una unidad herméticamente selladalocalizada debajo (afuera) del compartimiento deenfriamiento. El compresor es una bomba accionadapor un motor, que extrae vapor de baja presión(refrigerante) del serpentín del evaporador, locomprime y lo fuerza dentro del condensador a altapresión.

RELAY DE ARRANQUE:El relay de arranque está montado en el costado de lacaja del compresor. El motor del compresor tiene dosdevanados, un devanado de arranque y un devanadode marcha. Para poder darle al motor fuerza torsionaladicional cuando primero arranca, el relé de arranqueconecta el devanado de arranque adicional. Despuésque el motor llega a la velocidad correcta el relay abreel devanado de arranque y el motor continua con eldevanado de marcha.

PROTECTOR TERMICO:El protector térmico es un dispositivo termosensiblemontado en el costado de la caja del compresor. Si el

motor del compresor se pone demasiado caliente otoma una cantidad excesiva de corriente, el protectortérmico se abrirá, rompiendo los circuitos de arranquey de marcha del motor. Después que el compresor seenfríe a una temperatura operacional segura, el pro-tector térmico cerrará permitiendo que el motor delcompresor vuelva a arrancar.

CONDENSADOR:El serpentín del condensador está localizado debajo(afuera) del compartimiento de enfriamiento al frentedel compresor. El condensador desplaza calor delvapor de alta presión que se desprende del compresory lo condensa en líquido a alta presión.

MOTOR DEL VENTILADOR DEL CONDENSADOR:El motor del ventilador del condensador, localizadodebajo del compartimiento de enfriamiento, es undispositivo de ventilación forzada que usa aireambiente para enfriar la superficie del serpentín delcondensador. El motor del ventilador está en marchamientras que el compresor está en marcha.

EVAPORADOR:El serpentín del evaporador está localizado en elcompartimiento de enfriamiento. Según pasa vapora baja presión a través del serpentín del evaporador,absorbe y desplaza calor del compartimiento.

TUBO CAPILAR:El tubo capilar está localizado en el conducto delrefrigerante, entre los serpentines del condensador ydel evaporador. Este tubo de diámetro pequeño esusado como dispositivo de medición para controlar elflujo de refrigerante líquido al serpentín del evaporador.Esto crea una baja presión que causa que elrefrigerante se vaporice y absorba calor según pasa através del evaporador.

FILTRO:El filtro está localizado en el conducto del refrigeranteentre el tubo capilar y el condensador. Atrapa ydesplaza humedad del sistema de refrigeración a lavez que permite que pase aceite y refrigerante a travésdel sistema.

ACUMULADOR:El acumulador está localizado en el conducto delrefrigerante, entre el serpentín del evaporador y elcompresor. El acumulador atrapa cualquierrefrigerante líquido que no se vaporizó antes de llegaral compresor.

CONTROL DE TEMPERATURA:El control ajustable de temperatura es responsablepor detectar cambios de temperatura en elcompartimiento de enfriamiento y arrancar el motordel compresor cuando la temperatura delcompartimiento sube sobre una temperaturapreestablecida.

El control de temperatura está compuesto de uninterruptor de control que es accionado (abierto ycerrado) por el movimiento mecánico del fuelle. Elfuelle está conectado a un bulbo termosensible(localizado en el compartimiento de enfriamiento) porun conducto (tubo) de refrigerante de pequeñodiámetro. El fuelle, el bulbo termosensible, y elconducto de refrigerante están llenos de refrigeranteque reaccionan a cambios de temperaturas.

Cuando la temperatura del compartimiento deenfriamiento sube, el refrigerante en el bulbo dedetección se expande forzando que el fuelle cierre elinterruptor de control de temperatura. El interruptorde control de temperatura ENCIENDE los motores delcompresor y del condensador. Según el ciclo derefrigeración enfría el compartimiento, el refrigeranteen el bulbo de detección se contrae permitiendo queel fuelle se relaje, accionando a su posición abierta,APAGANDO los motores del compresor y delcondensador.

COMPARTIMIENTO DE ENFRIAMIENTO:El compartimiento de enfriamiento es el área delrefrigerador donde se mantiene el producto paraentrega. Esta área está diseñada para permitir quecircule un continuo flujo de aire a través del producto.

Description of its components

COMPRESSOR:The compressor is a factory sealed unit locatedunderneath (outside) the cooling cabinet. Thispump is activated by a motor which draws lowpressure vapor (refrigerant) from the evaporator.It then compresses the gas and forces it into thecondenser at a high pressure.

STARTER RELAY:The starter relay is attached on one side of thecompressor box. The compressor motor has twowindings: one for starting and another for run-ning. In order to provide for the necessary addi-tional torque when the motor is first ignited, thestarter relay connects the additional start-up wind-ings. After the motor reaches its correct operat-ing speed, the relay opens the ignition windingsand the motor carries on with the operation wind-ings.

THERMAL PROTECTOR:This protector is a thermo-sensible device attachedto one side of the compressor’s box. In any given

situation, if the compressor overheats or if thevoltage source varies drastically, the thermal pro-tector opens, turning off the compressor. Afterthe compressor cools down to a normal and safeworking temperature, the thermal protector turnson the compressor.

CONDENSER:The condenser is located underneath (outside) thecooling cabinet in front of the compressor. Its re-ceives hot, high pressure refrigerant gas from thecompressor, and cools it down until it returns toliquid state.

CONDENSER FAN MOTOR:The condenser fan motor is located underneaththe cooling cabinet. It is a ventilation device whichforces the ambient air to flow over the condenserin order to cool down the refrigerant flowing insideit. The fan motor works only if the compressor ison.

Description of its components

EVAPORATOR:The evaporator is located inside the cooling cabi-net. As the gas flows at a low pressure throughthe evaporator, it absorbs serpentine and removesthe heat from inside the cabinet.

CAPILLARY TUBE:It consist of several feet of tubing having a smallinside diameter. It is a device used to control theamount od refrigerant that flows into the evapora-tor.

DRIER:The drier is located in between the condenser andthe evaporator. It traps and removes moisture inthe refrigeration system while allowing oil and re-frigerant to flow freely.

ACCUMULATOR:The accumulator is located in between the evapo-rator and the compressor. It is a storage tank whichreceives refrigerant liquid from the evaporator andprevents it from flowing into the compressor.

TEMPERATURE CONTROL:The adjustable temperature control is responsiblefor detecting temperature changes inside the cool-ing cabinet. It also starts the compressor motorwhenever the cabinet temperature rises above thedesired temperature.The temperature control consists of a switch whichis mechanically activated by a diaphragm. This“diaphragm” is connected to a thermo-sensiblebulb (located inside the cabinet), through a smalldiameter tube. All three components (the dia-phragm, the thermo-sensible bulb, and the smalldiameter tube) are filled with refrigerant gas whichreacts to temperature changes.When the cabinet temperature rises, the refriger-ant in the bulb heats up and expands, expandingthe diaphragm. The diaphragm‘s expasion closesthe temperature control’s interrupting device, andthen starts the compressor and condenser motors.The drop in temperature inside the cooling com-partment is caused by the refrigerant’s continu-ous circulation through the system. When the tem-perature drops, the refrigerant inside the tempera-ture control’s bulb contracts, allowing the dia-phragm to open the interrupting device, whichconsequently shuts down the compressor and con-denser motors.

COOLING CABINET:This is the area where the goods are stored. Ithas been designed to allow for constant cold aircirculation to flow through the goods.

5. El tubo capilar controla la cantidad de refrigerante liberado al serpentín delevaporador.

6. El serpentín del evaporador permite que el refrigerante absorba y desplace calordel compartimiento de enfriamiento según fluye a través del serpentín.

7. La caída de temperatura en el compartimiento de enfriamiento es causada por lacirculación continua de refrigerante a través del sistema, desplazando calor delcompartimiento de enfriamiento y transportándolo al ambiente exterior. Cuando latemperatura baja, el refrigerante en el bulbo del control de temperatura se contrae,permitiendo que el fuelle abra el interruptor de control de temperatura, apagandolos motores del compresor y del condensador.

THE REFRIGERATION CYCLETHE REFRIGERATION CYCLE

1. Depending on the increase in temperature inside the cooling compartment, therefrigerant gas inside the temperature control’s bulb heats up and expands,expanding the diaphragm. The diaphragm’s expansion closes the temperaturecontrol’s interrupting device.

2. The temperature control’s interrupting device turns on the compressor andcondenser motors.

3. The compressor recirculates the refrigerant throughout the system by drawing therefrigerant gas at a low vapor pressure from the evaporator. Then it compressesthe refrigerant and forces it into the condenser.

4. The condenser, with the help of its fan motor, removes the refrigerant’s heat as itsflows through the condenser. The heat is then released to the outside environment.Consequently, the decrease in temperature will change the refrigerant from agaseous to a liquid state.

5. The capillary tube regulates the amount of refrigerant that is discharged into theevaporator.

6. The evaporator’s serpentine allows the refrigerant to absorb and remove heat fromthe cooling compartment.

7. The drop in temperature inside the cooling compartment is caused by the refrigerant’scontinuous circulation through the system. This gas continuously absorbs the heatthat exists inside the cooling compartment and expels it to the outside environment.When the temperature drops, the refrigerant inside the temperature control’s bulbcontracts, allowing the diaphragm to open the interrupting device, whichconsequently shuts down the compressor and condenser motors.

LIMITES DE LA GARANTIALIMITES DE LA GARANTIA

FOGEL garantiza al comprador original que el equipo vendido, así como todos sus componentes, seencuentran libres de defecto de mano de obra y de materiales, bajo condiciones normales de uso yservicio, por un período de un año a partir de la fecha de instalación. Si la tarjeta de instalaciónsuministrada en cada unidad no es completada correctamente y enviada a la fábrica dentro de 15días de la fecha de instalación, el período de garantía empezará a correr a partir de la fecha dedespacho efectuado por nosotros.

Nuestra obligación bajo esta garantía estará limitada al reemplazo de cualquier parte o componenteque nuestra inspección técnica compruebe estar defectuosa.

a) Cualquier parte o componente devuelto a nuestra compañía bajo los términos deesta garantía deberá acompañarse con los datos del modelo y número de serie dela Unidad de Refrigeración. Los gastos de transporte de las partes defectuosasdeberán ser cubiertos por el comprador.

b) Condiciones inadecuadas de operación debido a bajo voltaje, instalación inadecuaday daños accidentales no son defectos de manufactura y son estrictamenteresponsabilidad del comprador.

c) Los condensadores deberán limpiarse con regularidad. Omisión en limpiar elcondensador puede causar fallas en el compresor, invalidándose la garantía. Lagarantía no cubrirá partes que han estado sujetas a uso indebido, negligencia,alteración, accidente o cualquier daño causado por transporte, inundación, incendioo desastres naturales.

d) No podrán hacerse reclamos contra esta garantía por producto dañado a causa defallas en la Unidad de Refrigeración.

Esta garantía será aplicada en lugar de cualquier otra garantía, expresa o implícita, y en lugar detoda otra obligación de nuestra parte, y no autorizamos a persona alguna a asumir por nosotroscualquier obligación o responsabilidad en conexión con la venta de dicha Unidad de Refrigeración ocualquier parte de ella.

El término “Comprador Original” usado en esta descripción de garantía se refiere a la persona,compañía, asociación o corporación a quien originalmente se le instaló la Unidad de Refrigeración.

Esta garantía no podrá ser traspasada y será honrada únicamente al comprador original.

WARRANTYWARRANTY

FOGEL warrants the original purchaser that this unit and all of its components are free from defectsin material of workmanship, under normal conditions of use and service, for a period of one year fromthe date of initial installation. If the installation certificate (included with each unit) is not correctlyfilled out and returned within 15 days of the day of installation, the warranty’s coverage will begin fromour ex-factory shipping date.

Our obligation under this warranty shall be limited to the replacement of each component which hasbeen proven to be defective by our technical department.

a) Any part or component returned to our company under the terms of this warrantymust be accompanied by the model and serial numbers of the refrigerated unit. Anyshipping fees involved with the transportation of the defective parts shall becovered by the purchaser.

b) Improper operation due to low voltage conditions, inadequate installation, andaccidental damages are not considered manufacturing defects, and are strictlythe responsability of the purchaser.

c) The condensers must be cleaned regularly. Failure to do so may damage thecompressor, making the warranty null and void. This warranty does not coverparts that have been subject to inadequate use, negligence, tampering, accidents,or any other damage caused by transportation, flooding, fire or natural hazards.

d) No claims can be made against this warranty for spoilage of products.

This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied and all other obligations or liabilitieson our part, and we neither assume nor authorize any other person to assume for us any otherobligation or liability in connection with the sale of said refrigeration units or any part there of.

The term “Original purchaser” as used herein shall be deemed to mean that person, firm, associationor corporation for whom the refrigeration unit referred to herein is originally installed.
