INTRODUCCINEl Clima restringe y permite ciertas caractersticas del medio ambiente; ecolgicamente, los factores biticos y abiticos dependen del tipo de clima presente en un lugar.

Los recursos naturales presentes en Baos son variados. Por un lado la estacin de Baos ubicada en un lugar muy accidentado geogrficamente. A pesar de esto la presencia del hombre en esta localidad ha cambiado el paisaje natural del lugar. En esta localidad atraviesa el ro Pastaza que resulta de la unin del ro Patate y el Chambo. La vegetacin es una mezcla de la vegetacin propia de la Amazona y la Sierra ecuatoriana.

La importancia de las clasificaciones climticas es fundamental para aprovechar el conocimiento de las condiciones generales del lugar y las reas circundantes.MTODOS Y MATERIALESMtodo

El mtodo seleccionado y asignado para la clasificacin climtica de la estacin de Baos es el de Lang.Al ndice de Lang se lo incluye dentro de los ndices termopluviomtricos u ombrotrmicosEste tipo de ndices relacionan directamente la precipitacin y la temperatura.

- ndice de Lang(1915) o ndicepluviomtrico, pluviofactor de Lang o regenfaktores igual a la divisin de las precipitaciones entre las temperaturas medias anuales.
