Katy was getting excited. It was the day of the circus! Katy loved the circus. At 8 o’clock Katy
and her parents arrived at the huge, red and white striped tent called the “ig op."
he ring#aster presented with his huge $oo#ing voice" %ood evening &adies and
%entle#en!"
hen the lights went up to the top of the tent and Katy saw two trape'e artists, a #an and
a wo#an. hey flew through the air. "(ooo!" shouted the people every ti#e they flew. It
was very, very exciting. A door opened and the lions $ounced into the ring. he #an in the #iddle was the lion ta#er.
After the lions ca#e the clowns. hey had red noses and painted faces and funny red hair. hey told lots of )okes and
did lots of very silly things. “*a ha ha !" laughed the people and Katy laughed too. hen the elephants arrived in the
ring. here were three enor#ous grey elephants and did lots of tricks. After the ani#als Katy saw four acro$ats, a
#agician and a group of +hinese tightrope walkers. hey were wonderful.*er father $ought her so#e cotton candy, popcorn and Katy en)oyed a delicious ice crea#. he waited so long for this
event. hat’s why she felt so happy. -hat a perfor#ance thought Katy on her way $ack ho#e and drea#ed of all
those artists while sleeping in her $ed.
