Esta noche jueves 10 de mayo del 2012 estoy en la radio con mi

programa “La Fábrica del Jazz”. El programa es de música de Jazz que

se ha conocido como Latin Jazz Music es transmitido en el Lehigh Valley

y por el internet en el sitio web: www.wdiy.org. Una mezcla de música

instrumental en los cuales a veces hay vocalistas. Esta noche

continuaremos la música de Urban Tango Trío compuesto por la

violinista Machiko Ozawa, pianista Octavio Brunetti y el bajista Pedro

Giraudo. También continuaremos con el Álbum “Hard Tango” de JP

Jofre Quintet que incluye como invitados especiales a Paquito D’Rivera

y Fernando Otero.

También esta noche tendremos a Leonardo Suarez Paz quien

recientemente salió con un nuevo CD del grupo Cuartetango. El CD se

llama: “Masters of Bandoneón”. Sus créditos musicales en el pasado

incluyen grabaciones con Stanley Jordan, Cody Moffett y Jim Hall.

Además ha hecho arreglos para el “Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra”

con Wynton Marsalis.

in 2010. Most compositions are from Astor Piazzolla, Julian Piaza, Omar Torres, Pedro Giraudo and

Scarpino/Cardarella. The album is from Platonic records.

When La Fabrica del Jazz first played Urban Tango Trio had a great reception prompting calls into the

station after listening the melody of Astor Piazzolla “Oblivion”. This album is destined to be a classic

and a “must” to have.

The New York Times said in May 2011 “…The Argentine bandoneon artfully played by J.P. Jofre”

A great album that has invited guests : Paquito D’Rivera and Fernando Otero. The album was released

in 2011 by Round Star Entertainment. JP Jofre won the National Prize of the Arts Grant in Argentina.

Masters of Bandoneon is the new album of Cuartetango string quartet. A group formed by Leonardo

Suarez Paz with Bandoneonists: Lisandro Adrover, Hector Del Curto, Leopoldo Federico, Nestor

Marconi, Marcelo Nisinman. Has a singer Beatriz Suarez Paz and a Poet: Horacio Ferrer.

The group was founded in 1997. They possess classical virtuosity and stays true to authenticity, power

and the unique urban “swing” characteristic of Tango. Leonardo Suarez Paz takes the tango from 1940

to new heights with contemporary harmonies and rhythms of Nuevo tango.
