LA PRINCESITA DE LOS LABIOS VERDES- María Ester Pablos- España

N_ -Mucho antes de que tú nacieras, existía un reino maravilloso, escondido en lo más recóndito de un bosque. Pero ese bosque no era un bosque normal, era un bosque encantado. Las personas que vivían en el reino, nunca se atrevían a adentrarse en su interior, ya que les habían contado que allí habitaban un sinfín de criaturas misteriosas, y que era muy, pero que muy peligroso entrar allí.

Sin embargo, a Adelita, la hermosa princesita, esas historias no le importaban. Lo único que le interesaba era encontrar a su príncipe azul. Sí, Adelita era muy enamoradiza. Estaba tan obsesionada, que se pasaba todo el día besando ranas y preguntando con voz soñadora:

P _-¿Eres tú mi adorado príncipe azul?

N_ -Pero, como se pueden imaginar, las ranas nunca contestaban.

Así que, un día, Adelita, cansada de ir al estanque de siempre, decidió ir al bosque. Estaba convencida de que su adorado príncipe estaría esperándola allí, en una charca mágica. Ella dijo;

P_ -iré al bosque a buscar a mi príncipe, seguramente ahí lo encontrare.

N_ -Por eso, con mucho entusiasmo, se puso su capa de color rosa, y se marchó, sin decirle nada a nadie, con una sonrisa traviesa en el rostro.

Caminó durante mucho tiempo, hasta que encontró un rio y al lado de este, una charca repleta de ranas que saltaban alegremente.

Adelita cogió y besó muchas ranas una y otra. Ella dio muchos besos, que sus labios, se pusieron de color verde. Y al mirarse en el agua, la princesa casi se muere del susto.

P_ - ¡Ay madre, qué horror! ¿Qué me pasó?

N_ -dijo mientras sollozaba amargamente.

P_ - ¿Qué voy a hacer ahora con unos labios tan feos y verdes?

¡Nadie se atreverá a besarme!, no encontrare a mi príncipe azul.

N_ -Y entonces, ocurrió algo increíble. Desde la charca, escuchó una risita maliciosa. Una de las ranas no paraba de reirse, y para rematar el disgusto que se había llevado la pobre Adelita, el malvado anfibio empezó a cantar:

R_ -¡Adelita, Adelita,

Princesa besucona,

Tantos besos diste,

Que dejaste de ser hermosa!

N_ -La chiquilla, se acercó a la rana que cantaba, y le preguntó con mirada suplicante:

P_ - Pero ¿Qué puedo hacer? ¡Estoy hecha un desastre! ¡No puedo quedarme así toda la vida!, no podré conocer a mi principito.

N_ -La rana siguió cantando, divertida:

R_ ¡tu quieres ser linda de nuevo,

a un chico tendrás que besar,

te deseo suerte, princesita,

la vas a necesitar!

N_ -Y dicho esto, la rana brincó y desapareció bajo del agua.

Al enterarse de lo ocurrido, el rey mandó llamar a todos los jóvenes del reino. Y ellos se colocaron en fila india, desde la entrada del enorme castillo hasta las afueras de la aldea.

Todos estaban muy nerviosos, porque no querían ofender al rey o a Adelita, pero cuando les llegaba el turno para besar a la princesa de los labios verdes, ellos se desmayaban o salían corriendo despavoridos como si les persiguiera una fiera.

Al darse cuenta de que nadie quería estar con ella, la princesita se escondió en su cuarto, y se echó a llorar.

P_ - ¡Buuaaaaaa! ¡Buaaaaa! ¡Nadie me quiere! ¡Estoy espantosa! ¡Ya no puedo ser princesa!, ¡no encontrare a mi príncipe!

N_ -así que sin pensárselo dos veces, cogió una cuerda y se descolgó por la ventana. Pero Adelita no se dio cuenta que la cuerda estaba vieja y frágil que se rompió.

A Adelita solo le dio tiempo a cerrar los ojos, y gritar con todas sus fuerzas:

P_- ¡oh dios mío, Me voy a matar!

N_ - y entonces, algo detuvo su caída. Eran unos brazos fuertes…-ella pensó;

P_ - ¡seguro que son los brazos de un príncipe!

N_ -Toda ilusionada, abrió los ojos. Y lo que vio la dejó sin respiración. Una enorme cabeza de sapo la estaba mirando con ojos saltones. Ella dijo;

P_ -¡que horror!- ¡Eres un hombre con cara de sapo!

PR_ - ¡Hola! ¡Croac! ¡Me llamo Juan! ¡Croac! ¡He venido a liberarte del encantamiento! ¡Croac!

P_- ¿Eres un príncipe?- le pregunté, sorprendida.

PR_ - ¡Sí! ¡Croac! ¡Pero también estoy encantado! ¡Croac!

P_ - ¿Y qué fue lo que te pasó? ¿Por qué tienes cara de sapo?

PR_ - Las chicas de la aldea no me querían besar ¡Croac! y por eso quise convertirme en sapo ¡Croac! ….así que entré en el bosque y bebí agua de una charca ¡Croac! y la cara se me quedó así de fea… ¡Croac!

P_- ¡¡Ay pobre Juan!! ¡¡Eso es terrible!!

PR_- Para recuperar mi cara ¡Croac! necesito que me bese una princesa ¡Croac! ¿Me besarás tú, Adelita? ¡Croac!

P_ -¡claro que si Juan! Estoy segura que al besarte se romperá el echizo.

N_ -Y a Adelita, que ya tenía experiencia besando ranas, no le costó nada hacer lo que Juan le pedía.

En menos que canta un gallo, ella recuperó el color rojo de sus labios, y la cabeza de Juan volvió a la normalidad.

Los dos se pusieron tan contentos, que a partir de entonces nunca más se separaron. Adelita dejó de besar ranas, y Juan no volvió a probar el agua de una charca…si se preguntaron que sucedió con la rana del bosque, ella siguió cantando en su charca mágica, esperando a que otra princesa desprevenida, viniera a visitarla.

THE PRINCESS OF GREEN LIPS-Maria Ester Pablos-Spain

N_-Long before you were born, there was a great kingdom, hidden in the depths of a forest. But the forest was not a normal forest, was an enchanted forest. However, Adelita, the beautiful princess, these stories did not care. All he wanted was to find her prince charming. Yes, Adelita was very amorous. I was so obsessed that he spent all day kissing frogs and dreamy voice asking:

P _-Are you my beloved Prince Charming?

N_-But, as you can imagine, the frogs never answered.

So, one day, Adelita, tired of always going to the pond, he decided to go to the forest. She was convinced that her beloved prince would be waiting there, in a magical pond. She said;

P_-go to the forest to find my prince, surely it finds there.

N_-So enthusiastically, put on her pink coat, and left, without saying anything to anyone, with a mischievous smile on his face.

He walked for a while, until he found a river and next to this, a pond full of frogs jumping happily.

Adelita grabbed and kissed many frogs over and over. She gave many kisses, his lips, were green. And when you look in the water, the princess nearly died of fright.

P_ - Oh mother, what horror! What happened to me?

N_ said while sobbing bitterly.

R_ you want to be beautiful again,

I wish you luck, princess,

N_-And with that, the frog jumped and disappeared under the water.

Upon learning of the incident, the king summoned all the young of the kingdom. And they were placed in a line, from the huge castle entrance to the outskirts of the village.

Everyone was very nervous, because they did not want to offend the king or Adelita, but when we turn came to kiss the princess of green lips, leaving them fainted or ran in terror as if they pursue a beast.

Realizing that no one wanted to be with her, the princess hid in her room, and began to mourn.

N_-All excited, he opened his eyes. What he saw took her breath away. A huge head was staring frog with bulging eyes. She said;

P_ - that horror - you a toad-faced man!

PR_ - Hello! Croac! My name is John! Croac! I have come to set you free from the spell! Croac!

P_ -Are you a prince? - I asked, surprised.

PR_ - Yes! Croac! But I'm delighted! Croac!

P_ - What was it that happened? Why must toad face?

PR_ - The girls of the village did not want me to kiss Croac! And so I wanted to become a frog Croac! Well.... I walked into the woods and drank water from a pond Croac! And my face was so ugly ... Croac!

P_-Oh poor John!! That's terrible!
