Federal Year 2011-2012  SEARCH FOR MR. AND MS. AMBASSADORS OF GOODWILL 2011 This yearly pageant is undoubtedly one of the highlights of the non academic affairs of a year. Traditionally, it is held to showcase the talents, beauties and intelligence of JPIAns across the nation. But this year, the Nf jpia adds li ttle twist to this pr oj ect and gi ve a deeper meaning to the title “AMBASSADORS OF GOODWILL”. Therefore, one of the requirements of the candidates is to spearhead an outreach program that must be fully documented by them. Their documentation will judged by a panel and their scores will have a great bearing in the selection of the winners of this event. Now, who says that this is just like any other pageant? This is not just about proving who is fairest and the wittiest. We can now say that the title holders are true epitomes if benevolence. Objective:  Thi s annual event focuses on the tr ue beauty of the participant, not only for the outside appearance but also for the good character he/she pos sesses. It aims to create camarader ie and to practice public relations to people, through them NFJPIAns will be more inspired to do things. Qualifications:  The candidates must be a bona fide member of NFJPIA 2011- 2012. Must be of good moral character.     This yearly pageant is undoubtedly one of the highlights of the

    non academic affairs of a year. Traditionally, it is held to showcase the

    talents, beauties and intelligence of JPIAns across the nation. But this

    meaning to the title AMBASSADORS OF GOODWILL. Therefore, one of

    Must be of good moral character.

    Must not have undergone to any disciplinary actions or to haveany failing grades in any academic subjects.

    Male candidates must be at least 55 in height and for female

    candidates must be at least 52 in height.

    Theme: PIRATES: INVASION OF THE VIKINGS

    Requirements: Soft and hard copies of duly accomplished application form to be

    provided by the Office of the National Vice President for Non-

    Academics.

    Photocopy of current Registration Card and Identification Card.

    Certification form from the University/College Registrar that the

    candidate is of good moral character.

    Soft and hard copies of Certified True Copy of grades from 1st

    year to present or his/her last enrollment prior to the 1st

    Semester of SY 2011-2012.

    Recommendation letter from the Regional Council President and

    Adviser.

    Soft and hard copies of three (3) recent 4R photos (close-up, half

    body and whole body) in casual wear.

    Soft and hard copies of two (2) recent 8R photos (half body and

    whole body) in formal wear.

    Softcopy of the documentation of the outreach program that the

    candidates conducted in their respective regions.

    Rules and Mechanics:

    The candidates can wear any costume with the theme of thePageant.

    In the Casual Interview, the question for each candidate shallcome from the judges of this event.

    The resort wears of candidates shall be provided by them or theirLocal chapters. Use of accessories will be allowed.

    1st set of special awards includes:Best in Theme Wear (male and female)Best in Casual Wear (male and female)

    Best in Resort Wear (male and female)Best in Talent (male and female)

    The 2nd set of special awards includes:Best in Formal Wear (male) and Best in Long Gown

    (female)Peoples Choice AwardEpitome/s of Benevolence AwardMost Photogenic (male and female)Mr. And Ms. Congeniality

    The Mr. and Ms. Congeniality will be selected through secret

    voting among the candidates before the pageant night. The Most Photogenic awards will be judged based on the pictures

    submitted by the candidates.

    The talent of a candidate must be good for two to three (2-3)minutes including entrance and exit and a point twenty five(0.25) point deduction shall be given to the total score for theTalent Portion for every 15 seconds in excess of time allowed.Use of props is permitted as long as no explosive materials arebeing used. Utmost two bona fide members of NFJPIA 2011-2012back-up dancers. The talent must consecutively be done.

    EPITOME OF BENEVOLENCE

    For the outreach program of the candidates, the male andfemale candidate of a Local chapter (if they have both)must team-up in heading at least one (1) outreach programin the region. If they have only one candidate (male orfemale), he/she must head an outreach program alone. Theofficers of their chapter are not prohibited to help them.

    Documentation (videos, pictures or other mediapresentation) is needed for it will be included in the criteriafor judging.

    The award will be given to the candidates of the Regional

    Councils who garnered the highest votes from the judges.

    The presentation must not be more than five (5) minutesand a point twenty five (0.25) point deduction shall begiven to the total score for the Outreach Program for every15 seconds in excess of time allowed.

    PEOPLES CHOICE AWARD:

    Thirty (30) signature sheets will be given to eachlocal chapter for their male and female candidates.Twenty(20) of which will be considered sold, regardless ofwhether they only have a male or a female candidate, andthe full amount shall be remitted to Vice President forFinance on the 1st day of the MYC.

    The local chapter must have the full control of theirsignature sheets. Photocopying of which is strictlyprohibited by the organizers.

    Each sheet has Two Hundred (200) boxes and eachbox shall contain one signature. Each signature isequivalent to PhP1.00.

    The winners will be given 25% and the othercontestants will be given 10% of the excess of consideredsold signature sheets.

    ANNOUNCING OF WINNERS

    The scores for the Premier, the Pageant, and thedocumentation will be weighted to select the Final 3 (topthree (3) female candidates and top three (3) malecandidates). From then, the scores of the candidates willbe back to zero (0)

    The question for the Final 3 will be uniform to thecandidates.

    The winners of the major awards shall come from theFinal 3. These awards are as follows:

    irrevocable.

    rcJPIA GOT TALENT

    This project aims to show that NFJPIAns are not boring andindeed, are very talented individuals. It will also be held during the

    event to ensure that most, if not all, of the Local Chapters will sendtheir contestants. Aside from the entertainment that it would bring tothe participants of the event, this contest will also prove that we do not just focus on the academics, but also on the development of ourpersonalities and skills. Moreover, this project will strengthen the bondwithin the local chapters as it entails effort, preparation, teamwork andthe will to win.

    Mechanics:

    Each local chapter can send one entry.

    Each entry may be a solo, duo or a group. In case of a group, it is limited only to ten members.

    The talent must be good for a minimum of three (3) to amaximum of five (5) minutes and including entrance and exitand a point twenty five (0.25) point deduction shall be given tothe total score for every 15 seconds in excess of time allowed.Use of props is permitted as long as no explosive materials arebeing used.

    The decision of panel of judges shall be final and irrevocable.

    The participants agree that upon joining the contest, they submitthemselves to whatever decision the judges and the Organizersof this event may concur based on the circumstances of anycase.

    Requirements: Endorsement Letter from their local chapter president.

    Soft copy of short profile with wallet sized photo of theparticipant/s.

    An instrument, minus one or cd format of their music.

    Soft copy of duly accomplished application form provided by theRegional Vice President for Non Academics.

    AMAZING RACE

    Game Mechanics:

    Each local chapter can send one team.

    Each team will be compose of four (4) members, 2 girls and 2boys

    Each team must pass the necessary terminal to qualify for thenext terminal.

    10 terminals will be placed in the venue of the event.

    Each team should have the necessary flag as a proof that theteam had passed the preceding terminal.

    Flags will be given by the committee assigned in each terminal ifthe team answered the questions correctly. If the team said thewrong answer 10 seconds will be added to their final time andthe committee assigned will not give them the flag unless theygave the right answer.

    The fastest group to complete the 10 flags will be declared thewinners of the game.

    Qualifications:1.

    Must be bona fide members of RCJPIA for the Council Year2010-2011;2. Must be of good moral character and must not have

    undergone any disciplinary actions or have been involvedin any crime;

    3. Must not have any failing grade in any academic subject incollege.

    4. Each member must ensure that they are Physically Fitand does not suffer from any illnesses. Otherwise, they willnot be allowed to join the contest.

    Requirements:1. Recommendation from the Local Chapter President2. Medical Certificate.

    Confirmation of entries for the non academic events is until September21, 2011.
