CMO VOTAR POR CANDIDATOS INDEPENDIENTES HOW TO VOTE FOR INDEPENDENT CANDIDATES

En esta papeleta usted tiene derecho a votar por cinco (5) candidatos a legisladores como sigue: un (1) solo candidato a Representante de Distrito; dos (2) candidatosa Senadores de Distrito; un (1) solo candidato a Representante por Acumulacin y un (1) solo candidato a Senador por Acumulacin. Si usted vota por mscandidatos a que tiene derecho, usted anula su voto por dichas posiciones.

On this ballot you have the right to vote for only ve (5) legislative candidates, as follows: one (1) single candidate for District Represe ntative; two (2) candidates forDistrict Senator; one (1) single candidate for Representative At-Large; one (1) single candidate for Senator At-Large.

In order to vote for a single party, place a single valid mark in the blank space under the emblem for your party of preference and makeno other markings on the ballot. is single mark will be valid for all ve legislative candidates you are e ntitled to vote for on this ballot. For Representative andSenator At-Large positions, only the candidate in the rst position on the ballot under the party emblem for which you have voted will get the single-party vote forthe precinct: the Representative in position No. 4 and the Senator in position No. 10.

When a voter has no interest in voting for a particular party and wants to vote exclusively for one or more candidates, the voter must place a valid mark next to thecandidates of his or her preference, or may write the name(s) of other persons of the voter's preference not listed as candidates, under the appropriate position title inthe Direct Nomination column.

To cast a split-ticket vote, place a valid mark under the emblem for your party of preference and place a mark next to one or more candidates outside of yourparty's column, or write in the name of another person of your preference using the last column for Write In Votes. Bear in mind that you may not vote for morecandidates than those stated earlier. (No more than one District Representative; no more than two District Senators; no more than one Representative At-Large;no more than one Senator At-Large). is also becomes a mixed vote ballot when you place a marking for another Representative or Senator At-Large candidate inthe same column for the party, under which you voted, that may be diere nt from the one shown on position #4 or position #10. When casting a mixed vote, thevote you give to another candidate is lost to the candidate for that same position under the party emblem for which you voted. For the ballot to be considered splitticket vote it shall contain at least one valid vote for a candidate in the column under the insignia of the political party marked by the voter.

Para votar ntegro, usted hace una sola marca vlida en el espacio en blanco bajo la insignia del partido de su preferencia y no hace ninguna otra marca en la papeleta.Esa sola marca ser vlida para todos los cinco candidatos a legisladores por los que usted tendr derecho a votar en la papeleta. En el caso de Representantes ySenadores por Acumulacin el voto ntegro lo acumula en cada precinto, solamente el candidato que aparece en primer lugar de la papeleta bajo el emblemadel partido bajo el cual usted ha votado: el representante de la posicin nm. 4 y el senador de la posicin nm. 10.

Para votar mixto, usted hace una marca vlida debajo de la insignia del partido de su preferencia y hace una marca al lado de uno o ms candidatos fuera de lacolumna de su partido o escribe el nombre de otra persona de su preferencia bajo el cargo correspondiente en la ltima columna de Nominacin Directa. Tengaen cuenta que no podr vo tar por ms candidatos que lo s anteriormente indic ados. (No ms de un Representante de Distrito; no ms de dos Senadores deDistrito; no ms de un Representante por Acumulacin; no ms de un Senador por Acumulacin). Tambin se considera voto mixto cuando marca otrocandidato a Representante o a Senador por Acumulacin dentro de la misma columna del partido bajo el cual vota, que sea distinto al que aparece en la posicinnm. 4 al de la posicin nm. 10. Al votar mixto, el voto que le da a otro candidato lo pierde el ca ndidato para la misma posicin del partido cuya insigniahaya votado. Para que la papeleta se considere mixta deber reejar un voto vlido para al menos un candidato en la columna bajo la insignia del partido polticopor el cual vot.

Cuando el elector no tenga inters en votar por un partido en part icular y desee votar excl usivamente por uno o ms candidatos individuales, har unamarca vlida al la do de los candidatos de su preferencia o podr escribir el nombre de otras personas de su preferencia que no aparezcan como candidatos,bajo el cargo correspondiente en la columna de Nominacin Directa. Tenga en cuenta que no podr votar por ms candidatos que los anterio rmente indicados.(No ms de un Representante de Distrito; no ms de dos Senadores de Distrito; no ms de un Representante por Acumulacin; no ms de un Senador porAcumulacin).
