pronuncien bien su idioma.

Esto se da porque EEUU es un país deinmigrantes en donde se tiene tolerancia

comerciales y gas stations (gasolineras).Venden, entre otras mercaderías,

beer(cerveza), comidas rápidas (fastfood), candy (golosinas), ice-cream

(helados), soft drinks (colas), cigarettes(cigarrillos), newspapers and magazines

(diarios y revistas), lottery tickets(billetes de lotería), toiletries (artículos

de tocador) etc. Se encuentrangeneralmente abiertas las 24 horas y sus

precios son más caros que lossupermercados. También se los llama

mini-marts (mini markets).

Drugstores: En este lugarencontrarás una pharmacy (farmacia)

donde podrás comprar medicines(medicamentos). También encontrarás,toys (juguetes), electronic products

(artículos electrónicos), officesupplies (artículos de oficina), auto

accesories (accesorios para elautomóvil), school supplies (artículos

Shopping Centers: Son amplioscentros de compras donde puedes

encontrar tiendas de las principalesmarcas, además de restaurantes,

parqueos y salas de cine. También losverás con estos nombres: plaza, mall,

center, shopping mall.

Outlet Malls/Centers: Soncentros de venta en los que los

fabricantes venden sus productosdirectamente al público. Están

ubicados en los suburbios de lasgrandes ciudades y se pueden

conseguir a muy buen precio ropa,calzados deportivos, artefactos

eléctricos, cosméticos y juguetes.

Supermarket:Supermercado.

Thrift Stores: Son tiendas donde seconsigue mercadería de segunda mano

a precios muy convenientes.

Department Stores: Son grandes tiendas divididas endiferentes departamentos donde se

puede comprar toda clase demercaderías. Algunos de los

departamentos típicos que encontrarásson: Appliances (electrodomésticos),

«nacer»: To be + born.Se usa la mayoría de lasveces en simple past:

La expresión «get married»

significa «casarse»:

-Estos verbos tienen, básicamente, los siguientes significados:

Pick (picked/picked):- Elegir. Pick a watch, and I’ll buy it for you.

Elige un reloj y te lo compraré

Break (broke/broken):

- Romper. I broke my new glasses!Rompí mis anteojos nuevos

- Quebrar She broke her arm in the accident. (partes del cuerpo) Se quebró el brazo en un accidente

Come (came/come):

- Venir, ir junto. Are you coming with us?¿Vienes con nosotros?

- Ir hacia donde está I could come and talk to you.la persona con la Podría ir (adonde estás) y conversar contigo

que hablas.
