    The Pre Ragnarok Viking Gods.

This section was inspired by ErikLinklater and the legends of the OrkneyIslands, gided by Thor, and tested in!editation. It contains no !aterial ofGer!an origin. "ritten #$%$.

The Sagas were written by shamans and otherleaders to defne the social, spiritual and psychicobjectives o the race. Where an image producedinspires Man and is acceptable to spirit guides, thenthose spirit guides will use the image as an interaceand bring it to lie, thus creating an archetypal God.

The ossilised Gods o monotheism on the other handare just political, mental or psychic control

mechanisms stuc in time until dismantled. Spiritguides do not have a brain and need you to do theirthining and meditation or them. ! one serves theGods, then they will serve you. There are no reelunches. "#ote written $ebruary %&&&.'

When man can generate enough energy andresponsibility or his actions, he will no longer needGod or Gods. (ntil such time he needs a frst rateenergy source. The )iing Gods provide a frst classsource o energy, suitable or propelling man throughenlightenment "as in *en'. They will help con+uer the*odiac and the ashic -lements "$ire, ir, Water and-arth', and other $rost Giants o emotion.

The )iings were people who believed in living. Theytried to live in the way o the Gods, and the Godslived in them. They had little in the way o apriesthood, ecept or those in the patronage in thelocal /arl or chie, and those who were sel appointed.

Thus there was no priesthood, to try and withholdpower bac or themselves. There were Shamans and)olvas "lady . shamans'. These were natural

psychics, who may have been more ain to modernclairvoyants than anything else. !t is to be epectedthat spiritual healing played a large part in theirmedical practices. Modern shamans are to be oundin 0ussia, and among the merican !ndians. Theirtheology was strictly oral, ept alive by the local bardor bragi, reciting the old stories around the winterfre. With little written wor, no one could use

theology or political control. Those who wantedpolitical control, had to fght or it, and usually did.

This had the advantage that it was there or all tosee. There was no theology capable o eeping themin chains, or o gluing up the wors.

. The lands o the )iings were usually on the coldside, and conditions were tough. Thus the name othe game was Survival. There was none o the easyliving o the Mediterranean countries. The (niverse

o bility was ar more important, than the (niverseo -motion, and this was re1ected in their Gods. !t isa mistae to consider them to have been overmasculine. s their religion tended to ignoreemotion, they were ar more ree than most peoples.

Thus they could operate on higher emotional andspiritual levels. Most o the eminine side wassuppressed by later religions, in much the same way

as they suppressed Witchcrat in other countries. Thus most o the eminine side has been lost.

!t is a mistae to assume that the )iings had nowriting. They had a perectly good alphabet, suitableor cutting into wood and stone, hence the angularnature o the 0unes. What they did not have, waspaper or parchment suitable to withstand wetter

climates. 2uite a number o runic inscriptions werecut into other peoples sacred monuments, by )iingraiders.

3ne o the best source material comes rom SnorriSturluson. This is an account o how 4ing Gylf oSweden, was told the secrets o the 5ouse o esir,by three spiritual beings, 5igh, /ust as 5igh, and the

Third, otherwise 3din, )ili and )e. !n those times, the

Swedes were regarded as simple arming ol. Theywere nothing lie as sophisticated as say the#orwegians, the 6anes, or the !celanders, who allnew ar more about travel. 6o not repeat this inmodern Sweden, but or 4ing Gylf read 5onest(pright Worthy Simpleton. Thus the reader, who is o

  • 8/20/2019 Ragnarok Viking Gods

    5/61

course ar more sophisticated, is epected by Snorrito fnd deeper meanings to every thing he reads, andto read between the lines. Snorri gives a +uic hint o other things in a preace, by stating that Thor is the

ather o 3din, and that Thor is related to the GreeGods. . To have said any more, in the political climateo the time, would have put Snorri at great ris obeing banished rom !celand.

The )iing religion was con+uered, due the sins o3din, llather and God o politics, and by superiorpolitical systems including the written word, and

better paper. Most religions collapse, when theirllather gets out o hand. /ews +uite rightly, do notgive undue attention to their llather "-heieh'. Withthe various migrations o the times, there wasprobably an outbrea o gonorrhoea, which wouldhave made the latent homoseuality o 7hristianityloo etremely attractive.

The )iing religion was not one religion, but many.Where two . societies had a God in common, therewas considerable echange o ideas. The emphasisvaried according to which country one was in, andwith the individual. The 5ouse o the esir came romGermany, while the 5ouse o the )anir wasScandinavian. They lived in tolerance o each other.

This tolerance and the lac o desire to maeconverts, did not help the 5ouse o esir to fght o8

    the intolerance o later religions.

ll civilisations have the choice in their development. They all need some type o political control to eepdown anarchy, and to develop wealth. The choice isbetween the sword and religion, and both are about

as corrupt as each other. There is a middle way, butthat re+uires better people who can generate theirown ethics. 9erhaps now is the time or better peopleto emerge. Thor is the God o that middle way o

stability with reedom. s the deender o the Godsand deender o the people, he is certainly not abattle God lie 3din.

The most deadly insult among the )iings, was tocall a man a 5alman, that is homoseual. There is noevidence that they punished anyone or this. s aresult, it should be assumed, unless otherwise

stated, that all Gods, male and emale, are married,or are o the marrying ind. We do not wish to nowanything about halmen either. $or this reason, wehave grave doubts about the concepts o seualpurity, and anti eminism, in present day religion.

:eing more spiritually advanced than most, theycould see that there was a 1aw in their system. Thiswas that 3din, as do all llathers, was leading themup a blind alley. ;et they could also see, that toresolve the problem, they had to thin theunthinable. The problem was turned into the legendo the 0agnaro, and the mortality o the nownGods. The Gods are attaced by $ire rom . above, and the giants o unthiningness and illusion rombelow. !n the battle, the Gods and giants destroyeach other, and the world with it, leaving a new

generation o Gods, and a new generation o men. !nmore occult terms, in the +uest or spirituality, theMind "the 9it, the Giants' rebels against the -go "theGods'. !n the battle, Mind and -go destroy eachother, thus releasing the 9syche "the new generationo Gods'. There is a parado, confrmed by

meditation, that as one rises in spirituality, so theGods get younger.

We will describe the basic tree, mainly bottom up, as

this is how a child grows up to maturity, starting atthe bottom with $reyr. There is a powerul triangle, with 5oenir, Thor and $reya, at its corners. The lessobvious linages are listed in the tet. The highertrees or levels will be described later.

he can see, touch, hear, taste and smell, he will benoced o8 his pedestal by Surt. Surt is the earthingwire to eep man in real time. Thus he is the enemyo all private universes, and the enemy o the ego.

5e only really tolerates the physical (niverse andthat o 5oenir. 5e normally tolerates man=s garbage, while man is still in the (niverse o the -go. WhenMan decides to reach up to the (niverse o the9syche, eeping the -go at the same time, hebecomes unbalanced. t the point o unbalance, Surtbecomes Surt the 6estroyer in the 0agnaro. 5e canalso become the destroyer, whenever societies

become unbalanced. While most o the Gods areodesh "5oly Spirit', which we shall use later.

Mathematicians are developing the science o chaos.3ne o the rules that comes out, is that while it is

possible to predict that a system is unstable, no onecan predict the trigger point, which will lead to itscollapse. Thus i the return on capital invested instoc maret shares, alls to less than say ?@, thenthere is an unstable bull maret. The crash will come,a small one sooner, or a large one later i peoplecarry on buying shares. 5owever, there are aninfnite number o random variables, so that theprecise time o the event cannot be predicted.

. Surt is worth worshipping, and a person does so, bytaing notice o what is around him. Try eeling theour walls o your room, the 1oor, and i you canreach it, the ceiling too. Those who are incommunication with their physical environment, are

  • 8/20/2019 Ragnarok Viking Gods

more in real time. They are ar more liely to spotunstable situations, in the stoc maret, in the mind, and other things. Those who live in real time, areunliely to wal into lamp posts. !t is all too easy to

be swept along on a tide o emotion. Who wants tosell shares in a maret that is still rising. Who wantsto clean out the mind, when every one else seems tobe surviving, without bothering to clean out theirs.

This theme will be developed later as 7onsciousWaling as a tool or meditation.

!t is worth pointing out that in other religions lie

5induism, the 6estroyer God holds a very highposition. When the 6estroyer meets the 7reator, theuniverse will be destroyed. Such is part o the plot othe flm, !ndiana /ones and the Temple o 6oom.$ortunately the only universes, to be destroyed, arethose o mentalism, so we will hasten the meeting.

%.?.A. S(0T #6 *-#. !n *en terms, Surt is a God oconscious action without thought, or he is abovethought, and is thus a *en God. Surt invites you tosynthesise or create in the 9hysical (niverse. %.B. T5- $03ST #6 ST30M G!#TS The $rost,Storm, and Mountain Giants are best regarded as theolder, obsolete Gods, and the baser elements o thepsyche. They are also the ancestors o the Gods. The5ouse o esir tends . to ill o8 all giants who get intheir way, but also loo among . . their numbers or

wives. The giants are very much Gods o emotion. The esir, while being clairvoyant, also useintelligence, the senses, and the tools o awareness,or they are lords o ability.

!n modern occult terms, the $rost Giants are made upo ossilised mentalism, which should be dispatchedi one wants to live to the ull. The $rost Giants canbe ound at various levels, including those o ego, psyche and spirit. Thor, being a God o the ego, sometimes gets into trouble trying to dispatch thegiants o the psyche. The $rost Giants are oten

superior in magic to the Gods, especially in illusion. This would indicate that the $rost Giants are puremagical orces, usually not very orientated towardshuman survival. The Gods recruit those Giantsapproved o by man, into their rans. We must ollowthe eample set by Thor, and dispatch the rest.

!n man, the state o pure magic is achieved when allaspects and levels o body, ego and psyche are inharmony with each other. That is pure magic. Thebody is a marvellous tool or testing ideas andhypothesis, in a way that is impossible or adisembodied psyche. With the body comes thedevelopment o the ego. The ego must be ept inbalance with the psyche. The 0agnaro is thepenalty, or over developing the ego, at the sametime as developing the psyche.

The giants do seem to appear at the 0agnaro, eveni most are con+uered by the esir already. They joinorces with Surt, and the occupants o 5el lead by

older Gods, it may be libel, to say that they fght atthe 0agnaro, against the esir. $or some it would bein their . interests, to fght or the esir. 7hroniclersare not usually ind to obsolete Gods.

There is an essential di8erence between a God and a$rost Giant. God has desirable attributes that canbe absorbed into the sel. $rost Giant can onlycause illusion, and righten people into respectinghim, and threaten the end o the World i they do not.

!t is worth remembering that mathematics, and

probably geometry are rab inventions. The )iingdid every thing by eye, even building their ships, which indicates good pictorial and spatialimagination, but not mathematical thining. !ncurrent psychology, the let hand side o the braincontrols verbal, logical, and mathematical thining, while the right hand side controls pictorial thiningand intuition. $rom this it can be deduced that the)iings were users o the right hand side o the brain, while /ews tend to use the let hand side.

Today a boat builder would use atleast EDmm timber. This was mainly a coastal or riverboat, but it was sailed to !celand, Greenland and

rest. The brain, when programmed properly is anecellent computer, and can process problems, whicheven the psyche cannot . resolve, as long as it getsthe data in a orm it understands. (ltimately the

brain can be programmed to recognise broadprinciples in the universe o the psyche, and to guidethe psyche orward when it ounders. We are told bypsychics, that man is on -arth to learn certainlessons. The brain can be programmed to ensure thatthe real lessons are learned, provided it canrecognise the data.

The psyche itsel, does not spea -nglish, nor or thatmatter does it understand much -nglish, i any at all.

The psyche can eist independently o the body, andthins in terms o concepts. To a lesser etent it maybe able to turn concepts into pictures, the matter odreams, that is why some people are verbal thinersduring the day, and pictorial ones at night. This iswhy it is necessary or anybody recording their

dreams, to write them down immediately on waingup. There is a considerable communications gap, between the ego and the psyche.

There is the 9it. This is a dumping ground or allossilised thining. ! a person wishes to go upwards, then the pit must be cleaned out. 5owever the smello the sewage in it, is enough to eep all nice peopleaway rom any pit, their own pit especially. The

trouble is that it provides a lot o the erroneous dataor the brain when planning one=s real time actions.

!n line with modern thining, concerning the sees,we have split the llather, into llather andllmother. There are di8erences between the sees, but they are complementary. man can always pullout all the stops, which a woman will not do, but awoman will eep going. When running races, whichlast more than three days, with sleep and rest timeincluded in the overall time, a woman will very otenbeat the man. (ntil man discovered, that he had apart to play in the production o children, woman wasregarded as the superior se. Thus the original Gods, were mainly emale.

$rigg is a deposed earth mother, but who could notbe lost, so that she becomes the wie o 3din. Thereis a hint o the earth mother, in the story o herintroducing 1a to man. !t is she who spins the 1a,or the three #orns or $ates, representing, 9ast,9resent and $uture, to weave into the ate o man.

With her linage to ate, she lie 3dincan see into the uture. 5er view o the uture issuperior to that o 3din, but will not or cannot tell3din. Thus 3din has to fnd his inormation on theuture, rom other sources. 5er silence is somewhatsimilar to that o 5oenir, who belongs to a higheruniverse, and she may do too.

She has a linage upwards, into the abric o the(niversal Subconscious, and the abrics o alluniverses. The abric provides a passive ramewor. While there is useul linage upwards, it is less thanrom Thor, $reya and 5oenir. There is some o thevice o 3din, over development o the ego, too highor the psyche to maintain. This over development is

shown in the story o :alder, where she nows :alderwill die, but still tries to avert it.

There are great depths here, perhaps too deep or amere male to understand. !n her linage with theabric o the universe, she may well the Goddess othe cleaner parts o the universal subconscious, thatis the part above control.

This is in line with modernpsychology, sacrifcing logic or intuition. Thereerence to him hanging on a tree, to seenowledge, reers to the initiation rites o a shaman.

who will die in battle, and collect the allen or)alhalla. There is very etensive literature on 3dinand the )alyries. This comes mainly rom Germany, and is perhaps best let to the Germans. They do liepolitical llathers. !n deence o Wagner, we mustmention, that he died in A%&, and was unliely everto have even heard o dol 5itler.

Something that has puFFled many people, was thecomplete sacrifce, by German tribes and someothers, o all their enemies and their goods. Thus allcaptured weapons were destroyed in sacrifce, alongwith all captives, to 3din. The reason or this, was to .provide 3din with men and weaponry or )alhalla, toallow 3din to fght the 0agnaro. There seem to beno records o the womenol o enemies beingsacrifced, and so probably neither were their goods.

The current phase o 3din, is in his incarnation as$ather 7hristmas, and as such he has been veryhighly sanitiFed. 5e is merged with Saint #icholas, who was a indly Turish bishop. 5e threw bags omoney, through the windows o the houses o poorgirls, so that they had dowries, to enable them to getmarried. 7limbing down chimneys, comes rom
