Por lo menos uno de los documentos de ‘prueba de identidad’ o ‘prueba de numero de identificacion’ tiene que tener su fecha de nacimiento. Tendra que tomar las siguientes examenes: Examen de vista — Personas con licencia de manejo de otro estado o pais, o esos aplicando para la primera licencia en Nuevo Mexico tienen que pasar el examen de vista. Examen escrito—Personas aplicando para la primera licencia en Nuevo Mexico o aquellos con licencias que expiraron hace un ano o mas, tiene que pasar el examen(es) escrito. Este examen no es requirrido si tienes una licencia de otro estado. Personas con licencia de otro pais tienen que tomar el examen escrito. Examen de carreterra—Personas aplicando para la primera licencia, o aquellos con licencias que expiraron hace mas de cinco anos, tienen que pasar el/los examen(es) de carreterra. Este examen no es requerrido si tienes una licencia de otro estado en ese momento. No se dara la licencia si los privilejios de manejo estan suspendidos, revocado, o negado por este o cualquier otro estado. Primero tiene que resolver los problemas de suspencion o revocacion de su licencia. Costo de Licencia de manejar en Nuevo Mexico El costo es de $18.00 por una licencia de cuatro anos, o $34.00 por una licencia de ocho anos. Conductores que tiene 75+ anos tienen que renovar sus licencias cada ano, pero no hay cargo de renovacion para aquellos. La ley del estado de Nuevo Mexico requiere de verificacion de la licencia para personas que tienen licencia de otro estado. Por esta verificacion deberan pagar por unica vez $15.00 mas que sube el precio de la licencia para cuatro anos a $33.00 o para una de ocho anos a $49.00 Requirimientos de DWI(driving while intoxicated)(manejar borracho) Cualquier persona, de 25 anos o mas, que a sido convico de DWI y que esta aplicando por la primera licencia de Nuevo Mexico, tambien tendra que submitir evidencia que a completado el programa de Nuevo Mexico de DWI de prevencion y eduacion, ‘None for the Road’, o cualquier otro programa de otro estado. La clase de ‘None for the Road’ es administrada por UNM (Universidad de Nuevo Mexico) Continuing Education, no por el Motor Vehicle Division. Informacion de


la clase y aplicacion para la clase estan disponibles en el internet o al llamar al 505-227-0995 (Albuquerque y zonas cercanas) o al 1-877-663-7465. Horas disponibles son 8 a.m. a 5 p.m. Lunes a Viernes. Tambien puede obtener un ‘None for the road’ papel de informacion y aplicacion directamente de cualquiera Motor Vehicle Oficina local. Prueba de numero de identificacion – !No SSN! Documentos no aceptados por el MVD como prueba de identificacion son los siguientes: • Certificado de Bautiso • Tarjeta de Biblioteca Publica • Certificado de Nacimiento • Tarjeta de Membrecia de Retail • Tarjeta de Club the Carros • Tarjeta de Membrecia de Gymnacio Prueba de Identidad – !No SSN! Los siguientes documentos son aceptados por el MVD como prueba de Residencia en Nuevo Mexico (documento no debe de ser de hace mas de tres meses): • Documento de propiedad rentada o comprada • Facturas de Uso (las siguientes son aceptadas por el MVD) Factura de Agua, Factura de Gas, Factura de Electricidad, Factura de Basura, Factura de Telefono, Factura de Cable o Satelite, Factura de Internet, Factura de Seguro de Casa. • Factura de Aseguransa (se aceptand los siguientes): Factura de Aseguransa de Automobil, Factura de Aseguransa de Bote, Factura de Aseguransa de Casa, Factura de Aseguransa de Salud, Factura de Aseguransa de Vida. • Estado de su cuenta de Banco o Credit Union que tenga su nombre y direccion • Parte de un pago de trabajo que contiene el nombre y residencia del aplicante • Una delcaracion de taxes de propiedad local o documento de hipoteca • Prueba de un menor de edad inscrito en una escuela publica, privada, or de tribu de Nuevo Mexico, aceptamos: Documento de Inscripcion en la escuela, carta firmada por un official de la escuela impreso en el papel de la escuela, Libreta de Calificaciones, o el Carne de la escuela. • Registracion valido de un vehiculo • Documentos originales de una organizacion de la comunidad, de una ciudad, pais, estado, tribu, o organizacion federal de gobierno. Que ensene que el aplicante es residente de Nuevo Mexico. • Tarjeta de asistencia medica or asistencia publica de Nuevo Mexico • Testimonio notarizado de residencia en Nuevo Mexico de un relative, amigo, jefe, o otra persona (MVD-10020) • Testimonio de Papa/Guardian (MVD-10021) por un aplicante viviendo con padres o guardians que es un estudiente de menos de 25 anos y contiene prueba de estar inscrito en una escuela Si tiene menos de 18 anos de edad, los siguientes documents adicionales son aceptados por el MVD como prueva de residencia (documento no puede tener mas de 3 meses de antiguedad)


• Prueba de estar inscrito en una escuela publica, privada, or de tribu de Nuevo Mexico • Testimonio (MVD-10021) de el padre o guardian del aplicante que diga qu el aplicante vive con esa persona, mientras el testimonio sea acompanado por la licencia de manejo o tarjeta de identificacion de Nuevo Mexico de esa persona, o dos pruebas de la NM residencia de el padre o guardian • Documentos de membrecia de una organizacion religiosa de Nuevo Mexico • Documentos de membrecia de una organizacion de deporte de Nuevo Mexico Documentos que no son aceptados por el MVD como prueba de este requirrimiento:
