RTVE se gastó NUEVE MILLONES DE EUROS en PROGRAMAS TAURINOS de 2007-2011. Respuesta de la dirección de RTVE a Joan Josep Nuet i Pujals Diputado del Grupo Parlamentario de IU,ICV-EUiA,CHA: Official response of Spanish Public TV&Radio, RTVE to a MOP regarding this institution’s expenses on Bullfighting programs and broadcasts. According to RTVE its expenses on bullfighting, and therefore of public money invested in the promotion of this cruel activity is NINE MILLION EUROS from 2007-2011. This has been done, regardless of the results of polls that indicate that around 70% of Spaniards have no interest in bullfighting and 82% are against public subsidies for bullfighting. It is also important to note that this expense has been done during the largest financial crisis of the country, while important cut downs are made in social services.
