...atención c�pasiva Este fue realmente un año lleno de servicio en nuestras 5 clínicas médicas y jornadas, viendo un récord histórico de gran número de pacientes. Durante los últimos 2 años, los y las pacientes buscando atención en nuestras clínicas han subido más de un 20%. Cuando se les preguntó por qué vienen a nuestras clínicas comunitarias, los y las pacientes dicen constantemente que están muy satisfechos con la calidad de la atención recibida, indicando que la clínica está cerca de casa, los costos son accesibles y la medicina es de fácil disponibilidad. Sin embargo, la respuesta de primer orden, dada repetidamente por las personas del porque buscan servicios en nuestras clínicas es debido a la atención y el cuidado dado por nuestro personal. Los y las pacientes respondieron que el personal se toma el tiempo para escuchar, para explicar las enfermedades y los tratamientos dados y, sobre todo, curarlos de sus enfermedades, todo hecho con un toque especial y muy humano, de amor y compasión. Gracias a este gran equipo de médicas y enfermeras ayudando a las personas a estar sanas y felices.

…bendición abundante,1 de julio de 2015 fue un día muy especial en el Proyecto de Salud. Además de la conmemo-ración de la Fiesta de la Sangre de Cristo con los Misioneros de la Preciosa Sangre y la comunidad de la parroquia de Sangre de Cristo, tuvimos la bendición en abundancia este día. Después de muchos años de espera, oración y planificación, nuestro sueño se hizo realidad...la bendición de una nueva clínica en La Laguneta!! El nuevo edificio alberga una clínica médica, preconsulta, laboratorio y farmacia, reemplazando el espacio pequeño y oscuro que se ha utilizado para brindar servicios médicos en este lugar desde 1990. No sólo la nueva clínica proporciona un espacio luminoso, amplio y abierto para los servicios, los y las pacientes ahora tienen una amplia sala de espera para que ya no tengan que esperar bajo la lluvia y el sol. Estamos muy agradecidos con nuestros generosos amigos de Centro de Gracia de St. Paul, MN y todas las personas donantes que han contribuido en los últimos 8 años para cumplir con el sueño de una nueva clínica para el bien de todos y todas los que buscan nuestros servicios.

…celebración de �atitudDespués de que 409,520 pacientes fueron atendidos en las clínicas médicas y dentales, después de que 111,215 árboles fueron plantados, después de que 194,725 niños y niñas aprendieron a cepillarse sus dientes, después de que 2,136 pacientes fueron operados por el equipo quirúrgico voluntario, después de que 31,547 personas asistieron a charlas educativas de salud, después de que 1,616 letrinas, estufas y cisternas de agua fueron construidas, después de que 169,769 estudiantes participaron en pláticas ecológicas, después de que 171,787 exámenes de laboratorio fueron realizados...estuvimos listos y listas para celebrar!!! Y sí, celebramos!!! El 1-2 de octubre, junto con amigos y amigas, personas colaboradoras y miembros de las comunidades locales, celebramos en grande y bien y con corazones agradecidos. Celebramos 20 años de servicio, 20 años de confianza y solidaridad, 20 años de construir el Reino de Dios entre las comunidades de San Pedro Ayampuc y Chinautla. Y ahora, con la gracia de Dios, comenzamos nuevo el camino de servicio hacia los próximos 20 años.

A M I G A S Y A M I G O S 2015 A YEAR OF. . .

...c�passi�ate c�ing,This was truly a full year of service in our 5 medical clinics and campaigns, seeing an all-time record high number of patients. Over the past 2 years, patients seeking care at our clinics has risen more than 20%. When asked why they come to our community clinics, patients consistently say that they are very satisfied with the quality of care received, stating that the clinic is close to home, costs are accessible and medicine is readily available. But the overriding response, given again and again, by patients for seeking services at our clinics is because of the attention and care given by our long-term sta�. Patients responded that the sta� members take time to listen, to explain the illnesses and treatments given and most of all, cure them of their aliments, all done with a special humanistic touch and compassionate love. Thanks to a great team of doctors and nurses helping patients to be healthy and happy.

…abundant blessing,July 1, 2015 was a very special day in the Health Care Project. In addition to commemorat-ing the Feast of the Blood of Christ with the Missionaries of the Precious Blood and the community of the Sangre de Cristo parish, we had blessing in abundance this day. After many years of hoping, praying and planning, our dream finally came true…the blessing of a new clinic in La Laguneta!! The new building houses a medical clinic, nurse’s station, laboratory and pharmacy, replacing the small, dark space that has been used to provide medical services in La Laguneta since 1990. Not only does the new clinic provide bright, open and airy spaces for the services, the patients now have a large waiting room so they no longer will have to wait under rain and sun. We arevery grateful to our generous friends at Grace Centre of St. Paul, MN and all the donors who contributed over the past 8 years bringing to fruition the dream of a new clinic for the good of all those who seek our services.

…�ateful celebratingAfter 409,520 patients had been seen in the medical and dental clinics, after 111,215 trees had been planted, after 194,725 kids had been taught to brush their teeth, after 2,136 patients had been operated on by the volunteer surgery team, after 31,547 persons had assisted in community health talks, after 1,616 latrines, stoves and water cisterns had been built, after 169,769 students had participated in ecological activities, after 171,787 lab exams had been done…WE WERE READY TO CELEBRATE!!! And celebrate we did. On October 1-2, joining together with friends, collaborators and local community members, we celebrated big and well and with grateful hearts. We celebrated 20 years of service, 20 years of trust and solidarity, 20 years of building the reign of God among the communities of San Pedro Ayampuc and Chinautla. And now, with God’s grace, we begin anew the journey of service into the next 20 years.
