Interoperabilidad prioritaria en la gestión IT, medicina de precisión en pequeños centros, y elpáncreas artificial argentino, nuevo enfoque para la diabetes con su algoritmo ARG con exitosaprueba clínica

Los registros de salud electrónicos (EHR) permiten disminuir costos y plazos de ensayos clínicos,generar mejores pruebas para la toma de decisiones y avanzar en la atención de la salud. A la vez,hay desafíos críticos con los datos de EHR, incluida la calidad e integridad de los datos, laseguridad, la participación, el aumento de la escala de la infraestructura de investigación y lagobernanza relacionada.

Investigadores argentinos dan un paso adelante hacia un ciclo de control de la glucosacompletamente automático. El nuevo abordaje para regular el nivel de glucosa en diabetes tipo 1 esel así llamado algoritmo de regulación automática de la glucosa (ARG), que se basa en uncontrolador interno lineal cuadrático y gaussiano (LQG) conmutado, combinado con un lazo deseguridad externo por modos deslizantes que restringe la insulina activa del organismo (insulin onboard) . Todo ello sin demandar intervenciones del paciente. La factibilidad de esta nueva estrategiasurge de la prueba clínica en otro trabajo (Artificial Pancreas: Clinical Study in Latin America WithoutPremeal Insulin Boluses, Journal of Diabetes Science and Technology)

Es un concepto erróneo común que las técnicas de medicina de precisión solo pueden serdominadas por centros médicos académicos grandes y bien capitalizados. Dos expertos en genéticay medicina molecular explicaron cómo su hospital comunitario ha adoptado la atenciónpersonalizada con nuevas tecnologías y flujos de trabajo, en un programa de medicina de precisióna partir de una subvención. La sepsis, habitual principal causa de muerte en hospitales podríaprevenirse con un diagnóstico y tratamiento rápidos. Un hospital está luchando contra la sepsis conuna combinación de su registro de salud electrónico, un soporte de decisiones clínicas en la nube ydispositivos móviles. Alrededor de 250 puntos de datos por paciente se envían desde el EHR a unaplataforma de soporte de decisiones. El motor del árbol de decisiones en la nube puede predecir lasepsis con los datos y las tendencias

Un proyecto financiado por la UE desarrolla un exoesqueleto portátil, personalizado y seguroinspirado en cómo funciona el cuerpo para permitir a los pacientes con lesiones de la médulaespinal caminar sin ayuda adicional, Recientemente, los investigadores han estado trabajando enuna nueva estrategia que introduce los llamados exoesqueletos de asistencia que ayudan a activarel sistema neuromuscular, que se cree mejora la recuperación motora. El equipo de un programa deprevención y atención primaria aplicó redes bayesianas para identificar cómo variables se afectanentre sí y cómo pueden desencadenar una enfermedad, por ejemplo, cómo un hábito o una elecciónde estilo de vida particular afecta la probabilidad de desarrollar T2D (diabetes tipo 2) o asma.

La combinación de modelos predictivos en los Observatorios de Salud Pública ayudará a manejarlos problemas y promover la salud de la comunidad en las ciudades.

El análisis de grupos temáticos (Clúster) permite determinar elénfasis de los contenidos textuales. En el caso de las TICaplicadas al sector Salud, se aprecia que los términos: healthcare,care, medical, patients, services, electronics y devices,relacionados a atenciónes médicas, servicios, eléctronica ydispositivos aplicados, son los más frecuentes. Éstos forman partede las tendencias del sector, como son crecimiento einteroperabilidad de la historia clínica electrónica, digitalizaciónhospitalaria e incremento del uso de aplicaciones móviles para lasalud. Un ejemplo de lo anterior, corresponde a un nuevo productode la empresa Halifax Health, de servicios de salud en Florida,Estados Unidos, que ha creado un sistema basado en su Registroelectrónico de salud (EHR), una plataforma de soporte dedecisiones clínicas en la nube y dispositivos de comunicación móvilpara combatir la sepsis (https://bit.ly/2I88lxa), mediante alertaspreceptivas. El sistema envía alrededor de 250 datos de cadapaciente a la plataforma de decisiones en la nube, que podrápredecir la sepsis según los datos y tendencias. Si ésta espronosticada, se envía una alerta preceptiva y pasos a seguir alcuidador del paciente a su dispositivo móvil, al equipo médico y deurgencias para una intervención temprana.

In fact, people with diabetes necessitate carefulhandling of their disease to stay healthy. As such a disease is correlated to a malfunction of the pancreas thatproduces very little or no insulin, a way to enhance the quality of life of these subjects is to implement anartificial pancreas able to inject an insulin bolus when needed.

However, thistype of device suffers from the nonlinear sensitivity of camera which resultin the imprecision of spectra. Here, we report a smartphone spectrometerwith special designed calibration method to improve the spectral accuracy.Both wavelength calibration and intensity correction are adopted toeliminate the influence of nonlinear sensitivity from CMOS camera. Thecalibrated smartphone spectrometer is tested via comparing thefluorescence and absorption spectra of Rhodamine B with a standardcommercial spectrometer.

When a redundant manipulator is used in RA-MIS, the controlsystem implemented must guarantee that the surgical tool always goesthrough the trocar, i.e. the medical instrument placed at the incision pointon the patient’s body. In addition, the redundancy of the robot can beexploited to implement a physical human–robot collaborative strategy,allowing the medical staff and robot to work in a shared commonworkspace without affecting the performances of the surgical task, througha null-space compliance control strategy.
