La mítica calle madrileña sopla en 2010las velas de su centenario. Como home-naje a este escenario mítico de la capital,el Ayuntamiento de Madrid, a través delPatronato de Turismo, ha preparado unprograma de actividades con el que con-memorar su centenario y que comenzaráen este último trimestre de 2009. The mythical street of Madrid blows ofcandles in 2010 with of his centenary. Ashonoring to this mythical stage of thecapital, the Town hall of Madrid, acrossthe Patronage of Tourism, has prepareda program of activities with which to com-memorate his centenary and that willbegin in the latter quarter of 2009.

Peter Pan, el Musical es la apuesta infantil del Teatro de la Latina en este comienzode temporada teatral. A partir del 3 de octubre, las aventuras del niño que no quierecrecer y sus desencuentros con el Capitán Garfio llegan a Madrid tras una gira queha llenado teatros y recintos de toda España. Un asombroso juego de efectosespeciales, escenarios móviles o las cuidadas coreografías son sólo algunas de lassorpresas con las que, cada fin de semana, los espectadores podrán sorprenderse.Su productora, Theatre Properties, tiene el honor de ser la primera en llevar unmusical en castellano al West End londinense.Peter Pan, the Musical is the infantile bet of the Theatre of La Latina in this begin-ning of theatrical season. From October 3, the adventures of the child who does notwant to grow and his mix-ups with the Captain Gaff come to Madrid after a tour thathas filled theatres and enclosures of the whole Spain. An amazing game of specialeffects, mobile stages or the elegant choreographies they are only some of the sur-prises with which, every weekend, the spectators will be able to be surprised. Fedra vuelve a Madrid. Tras su estreno exitoso

en el Festival de Mérida, y un primer paso por

la capital, José Carlos Plaza retorna al Teatro

Bellas Artes para volver a capturarnos con esta

historia de amor por encima de todo.

Ana Belén y Fran Perea encabezan el reparto

en la versión de este clásico escrito por Juan

Mayorga, y pensado en especial para la actriz.

Esta pasión por encima de las barreras lógicas y

propias de la educación, la convierten en la his-

toria de amor más grande jamás contada.

Fedra quebranta los prejuicios, las normas mora-

les, y todo aquello que clasifica las cosas bajo

los conceptos del bien y el mal por la fuerza de

un amor ilegítimo. Un amor atemporal que la

expone al castigo de Teseo y al desprecio de

Hipólito, y provoca en si misma sentimientos de

culpa. La Fedra de Juan Mayorga nos plantea

nuestra propia capacidad para amar.

Fedra returns to Madrid. After its successful

première at the Mérida Theatre Festival and

its first showing in the capital, José Carlos

Plaza now returns to the Teatro de Bellas

Artes to captivate us once again with this

story of overwhelming love.

Ana Belén and Fran Perea head the cast in a

version, scripted by Juan Mayorga, specially

conceived for the actress. A passion that over-

comes the barriers of logic and education

makes it the greatest love story ever told.

Fedra is a breaker of prejudice, moral norms,

and anything that falls under the headings of

good or evil, through the force of her forbid-

den love. A timeless love that exposes her to

Theseus's punishment and Hippolytus's scorn,

and causes feelings of guilt in her. Juan

Mayorga's Fedra makes us reconsider our

own capacity for love.

Tras su paso por treinta países diferentes y haber sido

traducido a quince idiomas distintos, Madrid puede

asistir al monólogo más representado en la historia de

Broadway. Nancho Novo se mete en la piel de El

Cavernícola para facilitarnos el conocimiento sobre el

sexo opuesto. Los derechos adquiridos de la obra nos

darán aún una versión más nuestra del monólogo.

Situaciones habituales analizadas bajo los principios

básicos que regían las relaciones entre hombres y

mujeres en la época de las cavernas. Rob Becker invir-

tió más de tres años, y estudios de antropología, pre-

historia, psicología, sociología y mitología para escribir

el texto.

Nancho Novo nos despierta del sueño de la existencia

del lado femenino, y nos hace ver la vida a través de

los ojos del cazador o la recolectora. Reflexiones

sencillas, agarradas a una lanza, que dejan al

machismo y al feminismo fuera del escenario, pues en

realidad, ni mejores ni peores, hombres y mujeres son

sencillamente distintos.

Having been staged in 30 different countries and

translated into 15 different languages, Broadway's

longest-running monologue comes now to Madrid.

Nancho Novo plays the Caveman, who brings us his

knowledge of the opposite sex. Having secured

rights to the work, the monologue has now been

adapted for Spanish audiences.

Standard situations are analysed according to the

basic principles that ruled relations between men

and women in the Stone Age. Rob Becker spent

more than three years researching anthropology,

prehistory, psychology, sociology and mythology in

order to write the script.

Nancho Novo forces us to a rude awakening from the

dream of the existence of our feminine side, and

makes us see life through the eyes of the male hunter

and the female gatherer. Simple thoughts attached to

a spear that leave male chauvinism and feminism offs-

tage since, in reality, men and women are neither bet-

ter nor worse but simply different.

Mujer busca hombre… que aún no existe nosespera en el teatro Amaya este otoño. HierbaProducciones devuelve al veterano humoristaEloy Arenas a los escenarios, esta vez comodirector. Andoni Ferreño, Óscar Ladoire, RoserPujol y Laura More son los actores encargadosde dar vida a cuatro personajes que ponensobre la mesa el universo de las relaciones sentimentales. Tomando como punto de partida una parejaaparentemente perfecta asistimos a la trans-formación de una relación que tenía una clarainfluencia de cultura machista. A partir de ahí,la necesidad de espacios y el deseo de inde-pendencia hacen que sus protagonistas dibu-jen el nuevo mapa emocional de la mujeractual, no sin antes dejar patente tendenciasposesivas que chocan de frente con los intere-ses femeninos.

> Teatro Fernán GómezEl Teatro Fernán Gómez Centro de Arte presenta una

programación muy diversificada. Hasta el 11 de octu-

bre la actriz argentina Gabriela Acher nos presenta

en un delirante monólogo la visión del mundo desde

la óptica de dos mujeres de distinto perfil en El Amor

en los tiempos del Colesterol. En la Sala Guirau

desde el 8 de octubre se representa Cosmética del

miedo en la adaptación de José Luis Sáiz. Un diálogo

magistral que se pasea por el arte de lo absurdo. Los

protagonistas: José Pedro Carrión y Jesús Castejón.

En la Sala II desde el 14 de octubre, la compañía

Dagoll Dagom nos presenta un espectáculo en

pequeño formato. El primer texto teatral de Joan

Lluis Bozzo se llama Cómica Vida. Teatro dentro

del teatro, con un diálogo sarcástico que nos

acerca a una deriva tragicómica de final inesperado

para todos.

The Fernando Fernán Gómez Art Centre Theatre pre-

sents a quite diversified program. Till October 11th,

the argetinian actress Gabriela Acher presents us, by

an absolutely hilarious monologue, a vision of the

world throught the point of view of two women of a

different profile in El amor en los tiempos de coleste-

rol. In the Guirau Hall, José Luis Saiz's adaptation of

the play Cosmética del miedo is performed from

october 8th. A masterly dialogue that walks through

the art of the absurd. The main characters are played

by José Pedro Carrión and Jesús Castejón.

In the II Hall, the company Dagoll Dagom presents

a small-format show. The first teatral text of Joan

Lluis Bozzo is called Cómica Vida. Theatre inside

theatre, with sarcastic dialogues that approaches

us to a tragicomical drift, with an unexpected end

for everyone.

La segunda quincena de septiembre guardacada año un hueco especial a la historia en lastierras de Cartagena. La ciudad entera se tras-lada en el tiempo cerca de 23 siglos, para revi-vir las guerras entre Roma y Cartago.Carthagineses y Romanos es mucho más queuna celebración lúdico-festiva, sus casi 20 añosde historia la han convertido en una manifes-tación socio-cultural en la que participan5.500 festeros y se ha convertido en un refe-rente dentro de las fiestas históricas en nues-tro país. Durante los diez días de fiestas serepresentan y se viven, en un increíbleambiente que implica a residentes y foráneos,todas las gestas acaecidas en los años dedominación Carthaginesa y la derrota y ocupa-ción a manos de los Romanos. Algunos de los acontecimientos que se recuer-dan toman incluso sus escenarios originales.Todos los días, el punto y final al recuerdo sepone en el campamento donde Tropas yLegiones se encargan de que la historia seuna con la diversión.

> San Froilán (León)

En el mes de octubre, León se viste de gala

para recibir las que se consideran sus fiestas

más tradicionales. La celebración de San

Froilán se remonta a la Edad Media y entron-

ca con las raíces de la capital. Desde el 27 de

septiembre al 5 de octubre, la ciudad recupe-

ra el ambiente del medievo con mercados de

época y representaciones teatrales.

Otro de los momentos álgidos es el tradicio-

nal desfile de pendones por las principales

calles de la ciudad y el concurso de carros

engalanados.

Como cada año, la Catedral acogerá la ofer-

ta de las Cantaderas, una de las tradiciones

más arraigadas y que tiene su final en la

liberación del Tributo de las Cien Doncellas.

Esta cita conmemora la negativa del rey

Ramiro a ceder a los califas cada año a cien

jóvenes cristianas para formar parte de los

harenes de Córdoba, durante los siglos VIII y

IX. Desde entonces, en representación del

pueblo, un síndico municipal mantiene con

un representante del Cabildo de la Catedral

una disputa dialéctica en la que se trata de

convencer a los eclesiásticos de que las

ofrendas son un acto voluntario y no una

obligación.

Las calles y plazas de la ciudad así como sus salas deteatro e iglesias acogerán una 14ª edición que coincidiráademás con dos aniversarios muy especiales para la ciu-dad de Elche: el 400 aniversario del Acta de 1609 en laque el Ayuntamiento de la ciudad se compromete hacerpara siempre el Misteri d'Elx, y por otra parte, también lacelebración del 300 aniversario de la edición de laConsueta de 1709 (guión y partitura del Misteri d'Elx). Deesta manera, este drama cantado de origen medieval,caso único y singular por haberse representado durante500 años de forma continuada, se convierte en protago-nista del certamen. Y hablando de masasforestales el acebal de Garagüeta es único enEspaña. Nada hay que se le parezca. Se recomien-da la visita antes de la poda pre-navideña, finalesde noviembre o primeros días de diciembre, paracontemplar el estallido de color rojo intenso de losfrutos de este arbusto, que alcanza porte arbóreocon pies superiores a los seis metros.

LA PERFECTA DESCONOCIDA

Gerardo sostiene un vaso de vino.La camisa se abre en su pecho mostrandoalgunos pelos blancos aquí y allá. Es unaparte de un símbolo, la otra asoma como lapunta de una espada por el bolsillo lateral desu chaqueta y es de color burdeos, como elvino. "Un dedito más Javierín", dice antes deque sus peloteros favoritos pierdan definitiva-mente el partido. Gerardo se despide y abrela puerta de madera anaranjada. Enseguidaha llegado al portal de su casa.

Su mujer trastea en la cocina. "¡Hola!", dicetras oír la puerta. Gerardo se acerca y le da unbeso por debajo de la oreja. "¿Qué tal hoy miflor de primavera hermosa?", dice. Ana se ríe ycontesta: "Bien, ya terminé los contratos, ¡alfin!". Gerardo regresa del dormitorio y le dauna palmada en el culo. Ana sonríe y pregun-ta: "¿Qué tal el partido?"

Después de ver la televisión un rato,Gerardo se levanta para acostarse y ve las doshabitaciones vacías. Todos los días, al recorrerel pasillo y verlas, sufre un ataque cruel de tris-teza que persiste hasta que el sueño se lo lleva.

La luz de la lamparilla de noche proyectauna sombra a lo largo de su silueta horizon-tal. Ana huele a crema hidratante de noche yllega sonriente a pesar de que a ella tambiénle asalta la pena. Van a unir el salón con unade aquellas habitaciones y con eso se consue-la. "Siempre he querido tener un salón másgrande", piensa.

Gerardo cierra su libro y se vuelve haciaella: "Buenas noches Curcusita", le dice aloído después de besarla en la mejilla. Anasonríe, siempre sonríe, ahora, además, por-que eso era lo que la llamaba cuando eranjóvenes y esa clase de tristeza breve era unaperfecta desconocida.
