El grado 3 es el examen final del nivel inicial de los exámenes GESE. Esto quiere

decir que se ha alcanzado el nivel A2.1 del Marco Europeo de referencia para las

lenguas. Este examen dura hasta siete minutos y los alumnos ya deben ser capaces

de tener una conversación compleja con el examinador.

En el grado 3 hay que ser capaz de describir nuestras rutinas diarias y algunas

otras acciones, dar instrucciones sencillas de cómo llegar a un lugar y describir lo

que están haciendo a través de imágenes. Deben saber el vocabulario referente a

las profesiones y hablar de lo que hacen en su tiempo libre, usando la gramática

que explicamos más adelante.

En estos exámenes el examinador no parte de un guion previamente escrito, si no

que se tiene una conversación real. Esto quiere decir que el examinador disfruta

con la conversación y los entrevistado muestran disfrute por la conversación y

como no, por hacerla dando uso a la lengua inglesa.

El examen tiene la siguiente estructura (hasta 7 minutos):

• Saludos y bienvenida.

• Conversación.

• Despedida.

Procedimiento del examen

• El examinador comienza saludando y recibiendo al candidato y

asegurándose de hacer que éste se sienta cómodo y relajado. Se espera

que el candidato salude con cortesía.

• La conversación es iniciada por el examinador quien da la oportunidad

al candidato de demostrar el dominio de la lengua requerido en su nivel.

• En los grados 2 y 3 el candidato debe hacerle una pregunta simple

al examinador durante algún momento del examen.

• Los examinadores seleccionan el material apropiado para la edad y

madurez del candidato. Los materiales pueden incluir objetos reales y/o fotos.

• El examinador usa los materiales para mantener interesado al candidato

y ayudar a que demuestre el lenguaje del grado y animar al desarrollo de

la conversación. El examinador puede hablar del entorno inmediato del aula o el

colegio.

• El examinador finaliza la conversación agradeciendo al candidato su

participación y despidiéndose.

• Se espera que el candidato se despida con agradecimiento y cortesía.
