UCTEDie Union für die Koordinierung der Erzeugung und des Transportes elektrischer Energie(UCPTE) wurde 1951 gegründet. Am 1. Juli 1999 ist eine geänderte Satzung in Kraftgetreten, durch die der Grundstein einer wettbewerbskonformen Neuausrichtung desVerbandes gelegt worden ist. Die UCTE konzentriert sich nun auf die ursprünglichenAufgaben eines Verbandes der Übertragungsnetzbetreiber und hat daher auch das “P”(für Production) aus ihrem Namen entfernt. Ihre Mitglieder sind die Unternehmen, derenim Verbundbetrieb synchron zusammengeschaltete Netze Belgien, Deutschland,Spanien, Frankreich, Griechenland, Italien, Slowenien, Kroatien, die BundesrepublikJugoslawien, FYROM, Luxemburg, Niederlande, Österreich, Portugal und die Schweizumfassen. Seit dem 1. Januar 1999 sind die in CENTREL zusammengeschlossenenÜbertragungsnetzbetreiber Polens, der Slowakischen Republik, der TschechischenRepublik und Ungarns assoziierte Mitglieder der UCTE.Die UCTE koordiniert die elektrischen Systeme ihrer Mitglieder, insbesondere unter demAspekt der Zuverlässigkeit, sie schafft die erforderlichen technischen und organisa-torischen Voraussetzungen zur Erleichterung des Energieaustausches.Der Präsident der UCTE wird für zwei Jahre gewählt, die Mitglieder seines Landes sindwährend dieser Zeit für das Sekretariat verantwortlich.

L’Union pour la Coordination de la Production et du Transport de l’Electricité (UCPTE)a été fondée en 1951. L'adaptation de ses statuts le 1er juillet 1999 a engendré uneréorientation de l'association conformément aux nouvelles exigences du marché. L'UCTEse concentre donc sur les devoirs premiers d'une association de gestionnaires deréseaux et a donc éliminé le « P » (pour production) de son nom. Ses membres sont lesentreprises partenaires de l’interconnexion électrique en fréquence synchrone quirecouvre la Belgique, l’Allemagne, l’Espagne, la France, FYROM, la Grèce, la Croatie,l’Italie, le Luxembourg, les Pays-Bas, l’Autriche, le Portugal, la Slovénie, la Suisse etla République Fédérale de Yougoslavie. Depuis le 1er janvier 1999, les gestionnaires deréseaux de transport de la Pologne, de la République Slovaque, de la République Tchèqueet de la Hongrie (qui forment CENTREL) sont membres associés de l’UCTE.L’UCTE coordonne les systèmes électriques de ses membres notamment en termes defiabilité, elle établit des conditions techniques et organisationnelles facilitant leséchanges d’énergie au sein de son sytème électrique.Le Président de l’UCTE est élu pour deux ans, la responsabilité du secrétariat incombantaux membres de son pays pendant cette période.

The Union for the Co-ordination of Production and Transmission of Electricity (UCPTE)was founded in 1951. Since 1st January 1999, the in CENTREL united system operatorsof Poland, the Slovak Republic, the Czech Republic and of Hungary have been associatedmembers of the UCTE.The UCTE is coordinating the electricity systems of its members, particularly in termsof the reliability, and establishes technical and organisational conditions which willfacilitate the exchange of electricity.The Chairman of the UCTE is elected for two years and the members of his country areresponsible for the Secretariat for the duration of his chairmanship.
