Santiago – CHILE September 24 - 26, 2014 Santiago – CHILE September 24 - 26, 2014 NEWS LETTER NEWS LETTER Estimados colegas y amigos, me es muy grato informar el éxito de la Primera Conferencia Internacional de Puentes – Chile 2014, Futuros Desafíos: Diseño, Construcción y Mantenimiento , organizada por la Dirección de Vialidad de Chile, la Asociación Internacional de Carreteras (AIPCR) y la Asociación Chilena de Carreteras y Transporte (ACCT). Este evento constituyó un hito importante en la temática de puentes en Chile y el resto del mundo oportunidad en la cual se creó un punto de encuentro técnico, a nivel nacional e internacional, entre especialistas, profesionales, académicos y estudiantes relacionados con la ingeniería de puentes, siendo este evento un espacio para discusión sobre temas de investigación, innovación y desarrollo tecnológico en la materia, complementándose las presentaciones con una feria tecnológica. El cumplimiento de los objetivos de este evento está centrado en impulsar y poner en primera línea el desarrollo de la ingeniería de puentes en Chile, fomentar las buenas prácticas profesionales, promover la investigación e innovación y facilitar el intercambio de conocimiento y tecnología. Cabe destacar el excelente nivel de ponencias que formaron parte de esta Primera Conferencia de Puentes mostrando diversas áreas del quehacer de puentes, en la ingeniería diseño, construcción y mantenimiento de puentes, y la presentación de temas de investigación, innovación, como también de los proyectos chilenos e internacionales. Finalmente, quisiera destacar la realización de la Feria Tecnológica a través de la cual los asistentes pudieron conocer diversos productos y servicios de la industria asociada al sector de puentes. This event was a major in the subject of landmark bridges in Chile and elsewhere at which time a technical meeting was set up at national and international level, specialists, professionals, academics and students involved in bridge engineering and this event a space for discussion on topics of research, innovation and technological development in the field, complementing the presentations with a technology fair. The fulfillment of the objectives of this event is focused on promoting and putting upfront development of bridge engineering in Chile, promoting best professional practices, to promote research and innovation and facilitate the exchange of knowledge and technology. Of note is the excellent papers that were part of this First Conference Bridge showing various areas of work of bridges, engineering design, construction and maintenance of bridges, and the presentation of research topics, innovation, as well as projects Chilean and international.
