DRENAJE DE SUPERFICIE1. INTRODUCCIONEl drenaje de carreteras constituye uno de los aspectos bsicos e imprescindibles en todos aquellos proyectos que se ubican en zonas montaosas con ocurrencia frecuente de precipitaciones. La falta y/o deficiencia de los sistemas de drenaje trae consigo el deterioro y destruccin parcial o total de las obras a muy corto plazo, incrementndose, en consecuencia los costos por reposicin y/o mantenimiento de los proyectos.El drenaje lateral y transversal de las carreteras permite controlar la erosin y socavamiento, garantizado la vida econmica prevista en el proyecto. La rpida evacuacin del agua proveniente de la propia va y de zonas aledaas permite proteger las diferentes estructuras frente a posibles daos.Es importante indicar que se debe contar con registros de precipitaciones de la zona de estudio, caso contrario se lo puede determinar haciendo uso del mtodo indirecto de Anlisis Regional, con datos hidrolgicos de otra cuenca de caractersticas similares.

2. OBJETO DEL ESTUDIOEstablecer los probables gastos instantneos de escorrenta directa, que nos permita efectuar un diseo ptimo de las diferentes estructuras del Proyecto como son: cunetas, alcantarillas, badenes, etc.

Dar un diseo eficiente para el sistema de drenaje, a fin de garantizar la vida til del Proyecto, con mnimos costos de mantenimiento.

3. UBICACIN DE LA CARRETERA

El proyecto en estudio tiene la siguiente localizacin: Casero:Cruce Cujibamba - Tejechal Distrito :Bolivar Provincia:Bolivar Departamento:La Libertad Regin :La Libertad

4. METODOLOGACon el fin de reunir los criterios adecuados para conocer las caractersticas hidrolgicas de las quebradas consideradas, se realiz el estudio en las siguientes etapas trabajos de Campo, recopilacin de informacin y trabajos de gabinete, los que se describen a continuacin:

Trabajos de campo Se recorri la zona de proyecto para su evaluacin y observacin de las caractersticas, relieve y aspectos hidrolgicos de las quebradas as como la identificacin y posible ubicacin de obras de arte necesarias para el drenaje del camino que se proyectaran.

Recopilacin de informacinComprendi la recoleccin, evaluacin y anlisis de la documentacin existente como cartografa y pluviometra en el rea de estudio.

PluviometraSe ha utilizado metodologas adecuadas que permitan la trasposicin de informacin desde localidades o regiones de un mismo sistema hidrolgico.La informacin pluviogrfica para el presente estudio est constituida por registros de 29 aos de informacin de intensidades mximas de precipitacin de la estacin pluviomtrica Weberbawer, ubicada en la provincia de Cajamarca.

Para efectuar la transferencia de informacin de intensidades mximas de precipitacin, desde la estacin Weberbawer a la Zona del Proyecto, se utilizar un coeficiente de transferencia por cantidad de agua precipitable.Las caractersticas y ubicacin de la estacin mencionada se muestran en el siguiente cuadro:

HidrometraLas quebradas que cortan el trazo de la carretera, no cuentan con estaciones de medicin de caudales.

TemperaturaLos promedios mensuales se mantienen casi estacionarios durante el ao y de un ao a otro, con una desviacin tpica que puede considerarse pequea. Se estima que la temperatura promedio anual en la zona del proyecto es del orden de 9C con una desviacin tpica media de 1.5C, alcanzando promedios mximos y mnimos extremos de 17C y - 05C, respectivamente.

Fase de GabineteSe proyectaron las obras de arte definitivas; que se van a construir en el tramo, las que se detallarn ms adelante luego se procedi al procesamiento, anlisis y determinacin de los parmetros hidrolgicos para el diseo y dimensionamiento de las obras de arte proyectadas.

5. PROCESAMIENTO DE DATOS

Intensidades Mximas

Las intensidades mximas de la Estacin Pluviomtrica Weberbawer, se ajustaron al Modelo Probabilstico de Variable Extrema EV1 o de GUMBEL:

La probabilidad simulada, se obtuvo a partir del Modelo EV1.

De la ecuacin (1) se0 tiene que el tiempo de retorno es: (2)Despejando: . (3)Dnde:Tr : Tiempo de retorno, en aos.J : Incertidumbre o probabilidad de fallar en la prediccin, en un nmero n aos consecutivos.

Utilizando estas ecuaciones se determinan los valores de las intensidades mximas.

6. HIDROLOGIA DEL SISTEMA DE DRENAJELa hidrologa del drenaje de carreteras comprende el sistema interceptor de flujos laterales (cunetas y canales de coronacin) y el sistema transversal (alcantarillas, puentes, pontones, badenes). En este caso, el sistema de drenaje transversal estar conformado por badenes y alcantarillas, en cambio el drenaje lateral estar constituido por cunetas en terreno suelto.

El proyecto, materia del presente estudio, se desarrolla entre las cotas 2331 y 2739 m.s.n.m. aproximadamente; teniendo un rea drenable de 2.10 Km2. El 70% de los flujos de escorrenta directa se concentran en pequeas quebradas o depresiones y el 30% restante drena directamente hacia la carretera.

Intensidades de Diseo

Teniendo en cuenta la categora del camino, la seguridad y la economa del proyecto, las intensidades mximas de diseo, para el tramo en consideracin, se seleccionan de acuerdo a las condiciones y criterios siguientes:Para obras hidrulicas como alcantarillas, badenes y pontones se ha considera tiempos de Retorno dadas en el cuadro N 02 del Manual de Diseo de caminos no pavimentados del PROVIAS RURAL.

Mxima Escorrenta Directa

Segn caractersticas topogrficas del rea colectora, cobertura vegetal y almacenamiento transitorio, de los cuadros N 03 y 04, el coeficiente de escorrenta directa ponderado se estima en 0.60.

Cuando las cuencas son pequeas se considera apropiado el mtodo de la frmula racional para la determinacin de los caudales. Se consideran cuencas pequeas a aquellas en que el tiempo de concentracin es igual o menor a 6 horas. El tiempo de recorrido del flujo en el sistema de cauces de una cuenca, o tiempo de concentracin relacionado con la intensidad media de precipitacin se puede deducir por la frmula:

El gasto mximo de escorrenta directa fue estimado mediante el Mtodo Racional: (5)Dnde:

Mediante la aplicacin de la ecuacin (5), teniendo en cuenta adems las longitudes de los elementos interceptores de flujo, se obtienen los gastos de escorrenta mximos que se aprecian en el cuadro.

Degradacin de la cuenca y transportes de sedimentosLos parmetros existentes como la topografa ondulada de la cuenca, la alta pluviosidad y la cobertura vegetal existente; nos hacen prever una moderada capacidad erosiva del rea drenable.

Prdida de sueloLa degradacin de la cuenca, se debe generalmente a la erosin hdrica y al transporte de slidos por escorrenta directa. El potencial erosivo tiene relacin directa con la pendiente de la cuenca y el grado de pluviosidad, esta relacin puede expresarse mediante la ecuacin (5), a continuacin se define las variables y parmetros involucrados en ella:

Degradacin: Perdida de suelo del rea tributaria.

Mdulo pluviogrfico: Lamina de precipitacin total anual.

Coeficiente Orogrfico: Parmetro adimensional que explica la potencialidad dinmica e hidroenergtica del sistema hidrolgico y por tanto el potencial erosivo.Factor de Entrega: No todo el material removido o erosionado abandona el sistema hidrolgico junto con el agua de escorrenta, si no que parte del material slido vuelve a sedimentarse en las depresiones y reas bajas de menor pendiente de la misma cuenca, el coeficiente por el que hay que multiplicar la degradacin potencial, para obtener la cantidad neta de slidos que abandona el sistema se llama factor de entrega, la cual es siempre menor que la unidad. Aumenta al disminuir el rea y viceversa.

Transporte de sedimentosSe estima que de la cantidad total neta de sedimentos el 70% corresponde a slidos en suspensin y el 30% restante son slidos de arrastre.

DISEO Y RELACION DE OBRAS DE ARTE Y DRENAJE

1. HIDRAULICA DEL DRENAJE SUPERFICIAL

En lo posible la seccin transversal del cauce no debe ser alterada, sobre todo en sus dimensiones naturales, pues los ensanchamientos o estrechamientos modifican completamente el patrn de flujo, provocando sedimentacin o erosiones localizadas y por lo tanto, daos debido a inundaciones o socavamientos. Para el presente estudio la hidrulica del drenaje transversal est constituida por alcantarillas y badenes y el drenaje longitudinal por cunetas a lo largo del tramo.

El clculo hidrulico del sistema de drenaje, por gravedad, se realiza mediante la ecuacin de Maning: . (7)Dnde:Q = Gasto de conduccin, m3/s A = Area hidrulica, m2R = Radio hidrulico (m)S = Gradiente hidrulican = Rugosidad de Manning

Hidrulica de Cunetas

Para el diseo de las cunetas se ha tenido en consideracin el 30% del flujo drenable total, ya que el resto de flujo se concentra en depresiones o cauces establecidos, considerando un ngulo de reposo de taludes muy superior al ngulo de reposo del material en estado saturado, sin revestimiento. Caudales Hidrolgicos Para Cunetas.

Para calcular estas mximas avenidas se ha hecho uso de la formula Racional descrita en la ec. (5), la cual requiere a su vez de diversos parmetros hidrolgicos, que derivan de las reas tributarias que delimitan los diversos tramos del proyecto, as como caractersticas propias de la zona. Mediante un tratamiento hidrolgico de intensidades mximas se ha logrado generar curvas IDF para este tipo de obra (cuadro 1-9) con los cuales se consigue determinar el caudal hidrolgico. EXPEDIENTE TCNICO

Dimensionamiento de Cunetas.Para este proceso se utilizara la frmula de Manning descrita anteriormente, para lo cual se ha propuesto una sola seccin de 0.3x0.50 de cuneta sin revestir en terreno natural, teniendo en cuenta el coef. de rugosidad de manning (n) y los taludes respectivos para los diferentes tipos de suelo que comprende el proyecto, adems de tomar la pendiente promedio de la carretera como un parmetro representativo de su longitud.

Para determinar la capacidad hidrulica de la cuneta se muestra el siguiente ejemplo:

CALCULO DEL CAUDAL HIDROLOGICO PARA CUNETAS

Resultados: El dimensionamiento realizado es correcto, debido a que la seccin propuesta es capaz de soportar los Caudales Hidrolgicos, calculados para c/d tramo del proyecto.

CAUDALES HIDROLGICOS PARA ALCANTARILLAS.

Para este tipo de Estructuras Hidrulicas, igualmente se ha determinado los caudales Hidrolgicos, en base a los parmetros Hidrolgicos e Intensidades mximas de diseo (Cuadros del 01 al 09), para cada caso de cauce considerado. Las alcantarillas son diseadas de metal tipo TMC MP-68, con cabezales de entrada y salida de concreto fc = 175 Kg/cm2, en tal razn el coeficiente de rugosidad que corresponde segn especificaciones adjuntas, ser de 0.030, y la pendiente del cauce, 0.035 para cauces establecidos. El valor de este ltimo parmetro se adopta en razn de favorecer una velocidad de flujo cercana a lo recomendado en las especificaciones tcnicas, logrndose de esta manera impedir la obstruccin de la alcantarilla por fenmenos de sedimentacin-colmatacin, debido a las corrugaciones. El problema que puede presentarse a la salida de la alcantarilla, por efecto de la velocidad, es amortiguado por un colchn de piedra grande dispuesto en forma adecuada.

Dimensionamiento de Alcantarillas.

El dimensionamiento de las alcantarillas se determina calculando la capacidad Hidrulica para un Dimetro comercial propuesto de Alcantarilla TMC, la cual debe ser mayor que el caudal hidrolgico calculado para c/d cauce establecido, a manera de verificacin.

El procedimiento de clculo empleado para el diseo de alcantarillas est basado en la metodologa propuesta en el Texto Hidrulica de Canales Abiertos Richard. H. French Pag. 430 452. La cual es detallada posteriormente.
