Hydrocarbon flow measurementSICE follows all the necessary procedures for the systems supply, so that it is possible to measure the product

transfer according to the main international standards and recommendations (API, OIML and OSI).

SICE follows all the necessary procedures for the manufacture of the flow measurement skids: detailed

engineering; equipment and material acquisition; pipe welding, assembly and testing, development and

configuration of the applications, and setting up service of the systems and training the maintenance and

operation staff.

According to the product characteristics, the desired flow is to measure and the rest of desired operative

requirements (maintenance level, precision, uncertainty, etc), SICE selects for its clients the most adequate

primary technology: ultrasonic, masic meters, turbines and others.

SICE has implemented a large number of flow measurement skids for custody transfer applications, 40 of these

use ultrasonic technology.

Gas and fire systemsSystems for monitoring, in real-time, the security conditions of the installations. Designed to alert and

immediately activate the automatic responses when any contingency occurs, in order to avoid or reduce any

damage caused to persons and/or installations involved.

SICE solutions are adapted to the different requirements for the diverse application environments of these

systems, for ground plants as well as off-shore plants. They include the automatic incidence detection and

alarm manual stations and the system to deal with those cases.

The fundamental part of these systems is the programmable controller. SICE selects this equipment

according to the integrity level requirements and redundancy class requested by the client or derived from a

risk analysis study, following recommendations from the IEC-61508 and IEC-61511.

Emergency stop systemsThe main objective of these systems is to provide automatic analysis of the process conditions in order to

prevent high-risk situations and/or decrease their consequences, keeping the installations in safe conditions.

The overall function is, thus, to protect the installations, the people and the environment dealing with risk

situations derived from the anomalies that could turn up in the monitored process.

SICE defines the architectures of these systems according to clients needs or in the HAZOP study (if this has

been carried out). Depending on the result, the programmable equipment (PES) and appropriate tools for therequired integrity levels (SIL).

SICE develops these systems using equipment certified by TUV (TRIPLEX, ABB, GE) and it carries out

selection and integration of the equipment according to IEC-61508 and IEC-61511 standards.
