Objetivo GeneralCalcular tiempos de vida orbital máximos y mínimos para misionessatelitales hipotéticas que involucran nanosatélites en órbitas LEO yecuatoriales, teniendo en cuenta interacciones gravitacionales,deformación terrestre y frenado atmosférico.

MotivaciónPredecir cuánto tiempo estará en órbita un satélite, antes de entrar ala atmósfera terrestre, teniendo en cuenta condiciones inicialesdadas como:-Altura inicial-Masa-Área-Parámetros orbitales.

Antecedentes Generales- Proyecto Garada: Tiene como objetivo optimizar la recolección deimágenes del satélite SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) usando variossatélites pequeños en forma de constelación con miras al monitoreode desastres naturales en el continente australiano.- Resultados: Tiempos de vida orbital en función de la altitud para unsatélite de 75 kg con un área de 1 m2, con interaccionesgravitacionales, deformación terrestre, frenado atmosférico y presiónde radiación.

Mediante un código se modela el movimiento del satélite artificalalrededor de la tierra, apartir de condiciones de entrada como:-Altura inicial.-Masa.-Elementos orbitales.
Se calcula la altura en función del tiempo para un satélite que estasometido a:- Interacciones gravitacionales (Tierra-satélite).- Deformación terrestre (J2, J3, · · · , J14).- Frenado atmosférico (parametrización de la densidad).

Conclusiones
Se reportan tiempos de vida orbital máximos y mínimos parananosatelites de 1, 2 y 3 unidades en órbita ecuatorial, paraalturas entre los 150 km y 800 km, teniendo encuenta elintervalo de variación dado en el modelo de densidad usado.
Se usa una parametrización para el modelo de densidad quepermite dar un rango de tiempos de vida máximo, medio ymínimo con una diferencia en promedio de un orden demagnitud entre los valores límites.
El tiempo de vida orbital aumenta con la masa y disminuye conel área choque con la atmósfera.
Se propone una parametrización para el modelo de densidadentre 150 km y 800 km de altura que se aproximasatisfactoriamente a la densidad atmosférica reportada por laNASA (1976) y el modelo MSIS-E-90.
