la humareda cubre todo cubre el sol y el aire
el viento frío aviva las llamas
AZTECA
Soy una sobreviviente — debo decirle —
un espeso polvo me ha cubierto durante años he respirado el aire de la muerte
escucha, te suplico, el llanto de esta niña
ruinas y silencio
Oigo la voz imantada
soy un conejo blancuzco
paralizado bajo el destello de su piel azteca
¿De dónde surge tal emoción
que creí olvidada?
¿Será en verdad un dios cruel
quien me rescate, una raza orgullosa y vencida tocará mi pecho con oculto desdén?
