Building Information ModellingWhat is BIM BIM is all about collaboration – between stakeholders involved in construction

projects, in essence sharing information across disciplines. BIM is the management of information through the whole life cycle of a built

asset, from initial design all the way through to construction, maintaining and finally de-commissioning.

BIM is used on anything from new build projects to railway infrastructure. More importantly THE UK GOVERNMENT WILL MANDATE BIM LEVEL 2

FOR ALL CENTRALLY PROCURED GOVERNMENT CONTRACTS FORM 4TH APRIL.

BSI Verification and BIM BS 1192 & PAS 1192-2 BS 1192 is the code of practice for BIM.

PAS 1192-2 has been developed for any contractor involved in using BIM to deliver new buildings or infrastructure projects.

It helps you to demonstrate your capability to meet the requirements of one of the BIM standards, through meeting independent and impartial third party verification.

Available for Tier 1 main contractors and tier 2, 3 and 4 sub contractors and suppliers.
