J. Monkhouse. Estos períodos conviene que sean más largas en las zonas subtropicales y templadas que en la zona intertropical, especialmente, en la faja ecuatorial, donde el clima es más estable y menos variable en lo que respecta a los parámetros meteorológicos. (Wikipedia, 2015) El punto asignado como estación Puyo está ubicado en un lugar muy poco poblado, pero al parecer, por la imagen obtenida en un medio electrónico (GoogleEarth) existen pastizales y la vegetación no es la de un bosque primario. Por tanto la biodiversidad es baja. MÉTODO Y MATERIALES Método En 1948, Thornthwaite propuso una clasificación climática cuya principal característica fue la utilización de la evapotranspiración potencial como parámetro fundamental para la delimitación de los distintos tipos climáticos. Al igual que habían hecho anteriormente otros climatólogos, Thornthwaite buscaba una clasificación climática basada en la distribución de las especies vegetales, al considerar que en ellas se conjugan los diversos efectos de los elementos del clima. INTRODUCCINEl clima abarca los valores estadsticos sobre los elementos del tiempo atmosfrico en una regin durante perodos que se consideran suficientemente representativos, de 30 aos o ms, tal como seala F. J. Monkhouse. Estos perodos conviene que sean ms largas en las zonas subtropicales y templadas que en la zona intertropical, especialmente, en la faja ecuatorial, donde el clima es ms estable y menos variable en lo que respecta a los parmetros meteorolgicos. RESULTADOS Y DISCUSIN

Cules son los meses ms favorables? y Cules son los meses menos favorables?Debido a la poca variacin existente entre los promedios de 30 aos obtenidos por el mtodo de Thornthwaite, prcticamente las condiciones climticas no varan. Durante todo el ao en la estacin Puyo existe una gran presencia de precipitacin.

Cmo puede influir esa clasificacin climtica?Para aplicaciones en actividades como: planificacin de cultivos, planificacin de proyectos, fines educativos, etc.
