GUARDE ESTASINSTRUCCIONESINSTRUCCIONES

DE USOEste aparato fue diseñado para uso domésti-co. Úselo solamente con Corriente Alterna (60hertzios). Los secadores estándares están diseñados para funcionar con CorrienteAlterna de 110 a 125 voltios.

Este aparato está dotado de un cortacircuitode seguridad llamado ALCI (ApplianceLeakage Circuit Interrupter), el cual apaga elsecador en caso de que ocurran situacionesanormales, por ejemplo si el aparato caiga alagua. Haga la prueba siguiente para asegurarse que el sistema de detección deagua funcione correctamente.

FUNDAMENTOS DEL SECADO1. Lave y acondicione el cabello con los productos de su elección. Enjuague comple-tamente. Seque con una toalla para eliminar elexceso de agua. Divida el cabello. Usando elsecador y un cepillo de modeladosimultáneamente, dirija el aire caliente haciacada secciónde cabello por separado. Muevael secador regularmente por cada sección demodo que el aire caliente pase por el cabello.Dirija el flujo de aire al cabello, no al cuerocabelludo.2. Mantenga las entradas de aire del aparatosin obstrucciones y libres de cabello mientraslo está usando3. Para evitar el secado excesivo o daños alcabello o a la piel, no concentre el calor ensólo una sección durante un tiempo prolongado.Mantenga el secador en movimiento mientrasmodela.

4. Para realizar retoques rápidos entre lavados,rocíe un poco de agua sobre el cabello antesde modelar con el secador.

CUERPO Y VOLUMENPara crear mayor volumen, voltee la cabeza haciaabajo mientras seca. Dirija el flujo de aire a la raízdel cabello para obtener el máximo volumen. Unavez que el cabello está seco, vuelva la cabezahacia atrás y peine el cabello en la forma deseada.

ALISADOPara crear una apariencia súper lisa, trabajecon secciones de cabello. Usando un cepilloredondo grande (aproximadamente 5cm dediámetro), estire cada sección de cabello ydoble un poco las puntas hacia abajomientras seca.

This appliance is intended for household useonly. Use on Alternating Current (60 hertz) only.Standard Dryers are designed to operate at 110to 125 volts A.C. CHECK ALCI SAFETY FEATURE EVERY TIMEYOU USE APPLIANCE.

This appliance is equipped with an ApplianceLeakage Circuit Interrupter (ALCI), a safetyfeature that renders it inoperable under someabnormal conditions, such as immersion inwater. To make sure the ALCI is functioningproperly, perform the following test. The pur-pose of this test is to allow you to make surethe water sensing system (ALCI) is working.

1. Plug in the appliance and press test buttonon plug (See appropriate diagram below).2. The appliance will stop working. There will bean audible click and reset button will pop out.3. To reset ALCI with a reset button, unit shouldbe unplugged. Then push reset button in, andreinsert plug into outlet.

4. If ALCI is not functioning properly, returnappliance to nearest service center.5. It is important that if immersion occurs,this unit be brought to a service center. Do nottry to reset.6. Be sure to repeat test every time you use theunit to confirm ALCI is operational.

Should the appliance go off and the reset but-ton pop up during use, this could indicate amalfunction in the unit. Remove plug fromoutlet and allow the hair dryer to cool. Reinsertplug into outlet.The appliance should function normally. If not,return to an authorized Conair Service Centerfor examination and repair.

SUPER STYLING GUIDEYour best looks begin with a good haircutthat’s well maintained. Always treat hair wellwith superior quality shampoos, conditioners,and finishing products.

DRYING BASICS1. Shampoo and condition hair with products of your choice. Rinse thoroughly. Towel blothair to remove excess moisture. Section hair. Using the dryer along with your styling brush,direct hot air through a section of hair at atime. Move dryer steadily across each sectionso that the hot air passes through hair. Directairflow at hair, not scalp.2. Keep dryer’s air intake vents unobstructed and free from hair while drying.3. To avoid overdrying, do not concentrateheat on any one section for any length of time.Keep dryer moving as you style.4. For quick touch-ups between shampoos, dampen hair with a mist of water beforestyling with the dryer.

BODY & VOLUMETo create extra volume, turn head upside downwhile drying. Position the airflow toward theroots for maximum lift. When hair is dry, tosshead back and brush hair into place.

STRAIGHTENINGWork with hair in sections when creating asuper straight look. Using a large roundbrush (approximately 2” diameter), hold hairtaut in each section and bend ends slightlyunder as you dry.

MAKING WAVESTousled, natural- looking waves are easilycreated by grasping hair at the roots andscrunching between fingertips while drying.

USERMAINTENANCE

Your dryer is virtually maintenance-free. Nolubrication is needed. For proper operatingperformance, the dryer must be kept clean.When cleaning is needed, unplug the cord,and clean dust and lint from air intake open-ings with a small brush or the brush attach-ment of a vacuum cleaner. The outer surfaceof the dryer should be wiped clean with acloth only.Blocked or clogged air intake vents willcause the dryer to overheat. If overheatingoccurs, an automatic safety device will shutthe dryer or the heat off to prevent damage orpersonal injury. If the unit or the heat cyclesoff, unplug the cord and allow the dryer tocool for 10 to 15 minutes before restarting.Make sure the air vents are clean.

CAUTIONNEVER allow the power supply cord to bepulled, twisted, or severely bent. Never wrapthe cord tightly around the dryer. INSTRUCCIONES DEMANTENIMIENTO

Su secador casi no necesita mantenimiento.No necesita lubricación. Para que funcionecorrectamente, debe mantenerlo limpio.Cuando sea necesario limpiarlo, desenchúfeloy saque el polvo y las pelusas de las aberturasde aire con un cepillo pequeño o el cepilloaccesorio de una aspiradora.
