    EJERCICIOS (TIPOS DE ORACIONES)

    I.- Identifique los tipos de oraciones y las clusulas contenidas en ellas.

    1.- Friction reduces the efficiency of machines but it is also indispensable.

    2.- One way to reduce friction in machines is through the materials for the parts that contact eachother.

    3.- A vital mechanism for reducing friction is the bearing, which basically is a device that bears thefriction of parts in motion.

    4.- The possibility of using cushions of compressed air in transportation systems has beendiscussed frequently in recent years.

    5.- Braking devices put friction to work to provide the necessary control over motion in automobilesand other kinds of machines.

    6.- When HIV infects these cells, it decreases their numbers and affects how the cells that are leftfunction.

    7.- After an adult is infected with HIV, he or she usually has no obvious symptoms for 5 to 10 years.

    8.- When the immune system is weakened enough, it becomes susceptible to other organisms thatthe body can usually fight off or keep under control.

    9.- Although practicing safer sex cannot completely protect a person from HIV, it can lower the risk.

    10.- It is safest to avoid sexual intercourse with people who have HIV infection or unknown HIVstatus and those who use IV drugs.

    11.- Some experts do believe that using spermicide on a condom or putting it into the vagina can killsome HIV organisms before they can infect the woman.

    12.- Weeks or months might pass after exposure to the virus before antibodies can be detected inthe body.

    13.- They are airborne and are transmitted when one breathes, coughs, or sneezes.

    14.- Cold viruses can be spread when a person with a cold sneezes into his or her hand or blowshis or her nose and then touches an object.

    15.- Sneezing and coughing can spread these droplets.
