Page 3: Lesson plan 3 Klein Natalia

Materials: worksheets with exercises for each student, board, marker and flashcards related to the topic.

Seating arrangement: depending on the type of activity, the Ss will be sitting in pairs in order to feel comfortable.

Cooperative work: working in groups may help the students better

interact and communicate with one each other in order to exchange ideas and opinions.

Possible problems and possible solutions: the most important problem could be timing. It is very difficult to calculate the time for each activity since each group is different and works at a different pace. Perhaps, if there are students who finish early, the teacher can give them any other dynamic activity or game up to the moment the rest could finish their tasks.

Assessment: The assessment will be focused on observation in order to gather information about the development of language skills

Look and read the sentences below them!

Cecilia A. Zemborain, 10/20/15,
Think of this dialogue in Spanish. How meaningful is it?E.g. ¿Cómo te llamas? ¿Estás feliz? ¿Cuál es tu materia favorita? You can prepare a role-play activity. SS can pretend they carry out short interviews. They can pretend they are famous, for example.Revise this stage.

Page 6: Lesson plan 3 Klein Natalia

Ss: No!

T: Ok! Let´s read the article about Río Colorado for a first time and try to write down all the words you find very familiar or similar to our language.

For example: Fantastic! It is very similar to our language.

Rio Colorado is a beautiful city. The places are fantastic. The cinema is

big and beautiful. The park and the zoo are very near and they are

wonderful. The shopping center is horrible and very small. Rio

Colorado hasn´t got a museum or a funfair. Finally, the sports clothes

shop and the cybercafé are big and the people are always there.

T: Well, tell me which words are familiar to you? (I will write the words on the

board while they are saying them)

Ss: fantastic, cinema, park, zoo, shopping, museum, cybercafé.

T: Good! Perfect!

After - Reading Activity (10 minutes)

Activity 2

T: Now, please, sit in pairs! I will give you a worksheet. The worksheet has

two columns, one has the names of the places and the other one has got the

things you could find in the places. I will give you an example: (I will write it

on the board)

The zoo has got animals.

Cecilia A. Zemborain, 10/20/15,
Instead of working on isolated words, you should concentrate on the meaning of the text. You could make some questions to check comprehension, or devise a true or false activity.
Page 7: Lesson plan 3 Klein Natalia

else?

The students continue doing the same procedure.

meaning of the words)in the magazines or newspapers a picture of a city and
