ESCUELA DE CAPACITACIÓN DE BRIGADAS DE EMERGENCIA (ECBE)

C ontinuando con el apoyo al desarrollo

a la Competitividad de la Industria

establecida en México, la Asociación a través de

la ECBE, llevó a cabo eventos de capacitación de

alta calidad, mismos que fueron bien recibidos

por nuestras empresas socias.

EMERGENCY BRIGADES TRAINING SCHOOL (ECBE)

C ontinuing our efforts to promote the

development of the Competitiveness

of the Chemical Industry in Mexico, ANIQ,

through ECBE, held several high quality training

events that were very welcome by our member

companies.

Durante el año 2014, entre cursos abiertos

y eventos de capacitación cerrados se capacitó

a un total de 4,284 personas, en donde los

eventos relativos al combate de incendios y

los de atención de emergencias con materiales

peligrosos fueron los que mayor asistencia

tuvieron.

De igual manera destaca el décimo segundo

Torneo Nacional de Brigadas, el cual se mantuvo

como el mejor evento en su tipo, permitiendo a

las empresas convivir, compartir conocimientos

y experiencias, así como elevar el nivel de

desempeño de los brigadistas, motivados por

la observación y reconocimiento de las mejores

prácticas aplicadas por otras brigadas.

En relación a la certificación de competencias

laborales, se continuó trabajando en la

certificación de estándares de competencia

laboral, expidiéndose durante el año 56

certificados en los siguientes estándares:

» EC0076 - Evaluación de la competencia

de candidatos con base en Estándares de

competencia

» EC0252 - Respuesta a emergencias que

involucran materiales peligrosos

» EC0290 - Atención de incendios

que involucran materiales, productos y

sustancias químicas

» EC0291 - Implementación de acciones

de respuesta a emergencias en plantas

industriales

During 2014, adding the open courses and

the closed training events, a total of 4,284

people were trained. The courses regarding

fire-fighting and response to emergencies with

hazardous substances and materials had the

largest number of attendees.

In like manner, we must highlight the

twelfth Brigade National Tournament, which

continued as the best event of its kind.

Companies were able to share experiences and

knowledge as well as to raise the performance

level of brigade members by motivating them

through observation and recognition of the

best practices applied by other brigades.

Regarding competence certification, Aniq

continued working on the certification of work

competence standards, issuing 56 certificates

this year on the following standards:

» EC0076 – Evaluation of candidates’

skills based on Competence Standards

» EC0252 – Response to emergencies

involving hazardous materials

» EC0290 – Fire-fighting involving

chemical products, substances and

materials

» EC0291 – Implementation of emergency

response actions in industrial plants.

COMISIÓN DE LA INDUSTRIA DEL PLÁSTICO, RESPONSABILIDAD Y DESARROLLO SUSTENTABLE. (CIPRES)

Derivado de la destacable y dinámica

actividad que desarrollaron las empresas socias

de esta Comisión, se logró desarrollar un

plan estratégico que permitió a la Comisión

posicionarse de mejor manera ante instancias

afines, en los distintos campos en los que

participa CIPRES.

En materia legislativa se trabajó con la

Asamblea del Distrito Federal, para evitar la

instrumentación de la iniciativa que promueve

la prohibición del uso del Tereftalato de

Politileno (PET) para el embotellamiento de

cualquier producto. Dicha iniciativa no tuvo

aceptación en la misma Asamblea por sus

obvias implicaciones y su prácticamente nulo

beneficio.

En la LXII legislatura de la Cámara de

Diputados, se promovió una reforma integral al

marco normativo en materia de residuos, dando

origen a una nueva ley ambiental enfocada

a residuos. CIPRES logró que dicha iniciativa

no fuera aprobada argumentando su baja

contribución a la mejora ambiental al tiempo

que dificultaba la gestión de los residuos.

Por su parte la Secretaría del Medio Ambiente

del Gobierno del Distrito Federal promovió una

nueva norma ambiental para la separación,

clasificación, recolección y almacenamiento de

residuos, misma que se logró detener, ya que

si bien es cierto que se coincide con el enfoque

de la norma y en la búsqueda de fomentar en la

sociedad la participación y encauzarla al manejo

responsable de residuos sólidos generados, su

aplicación es muy complicada, tan solo por la

gran cantidad de contenedores a utilizar.

En relación al PROY-NMX-E-CNCP-2013,

el cual establece los términos relacionados

con materiales bioplásticos, con el objeto de

unificar la terminología empleada en esta área

de la industria del plástico, pero sobre todo

que sirva de base en la aplicación o generación

de cualquier otra regulación que pretenda

incorporar el término de “bio” en los materiales

plásticos.

Sección de Poliestireno Expandido (EPS)

Por otra parte la Sección de Poliestireno

Expandido (EPS), presentó durante el mes de

mayo, los resultados de su estudio “Análisis de

ciclo de vida de vasos desechables en México”,

a través del cual se dio evidencia que el uso de

EPS en vasos desechables es una mejor opción

ambiental que otros materiales. El estudio se

presentó a industriales, académicos, así como a

instituciones de gobierno.

Por otra parte, se dio seguimiento a la

difusión del estudio de la huella de carbono de

placas aislantes de EPS en la construcción y se

continuó con la gestión para la obtención de la

declaratoria ambiental de producto, ya que se

considera que es un paso de la mayor relevancia

para contrarrestar los ataques que el EPS recibe

por parte de opositores al material y que lo

consideran como un elemento que impacta

negativamente en el ambiente.


PLASTIC INDUSTRY COMMISSION FOR RESPONSIBILITY AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT (CIPRES)

Derived from the outstanding and dynamic

activity developed by the companies members

of this Commission, a strategic plan was

developed allowing the Commission to better

position itself with similar entities, in CIPRES’s

various fields of action:

On legislative matters, CIPRES worked

with the Assembly of Representatives of

Mexico City to stop the implementation of

the bill promoting the prohibition of the use

of Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) in bottling

any kind of products. Such bill was not

accepted by the Assembly in view of its evident

implications and almost null benefits.

On the other hand, the Secretariat of the

Environment of the Government of Mexico City

promoted a new environmental standard to

separate, classify, collect and store waste. We

managed to stop it because although it is true

that we agree on the approach of this standard

and in the search to promote the participation

of society in the responsible management

of solid waste, the application of this kind

of standards is very complex, starting by the

number of containers to be used.

Regarding bill number PROY-NMX-E-

CNCP-2013, that sets forth the terms related

to bio-plastic materials aimed at homologating

the terminology used in this area by the plastic

industry, most of all to be used as the basis

in the application or generation of any other

regulation that may intend to incorporate the

“bio” term in plastic materials.

Expanded Polystyrene Section (EPS)

The Expanded Polystyrene Section (EPS)

submitted the results of the survey “Analysis

of the life cycle of disposable cups in Mexico”,

providing evidence that the use of EPS in

disposable cups is a better environmental

option than other materials. The survey was

presented to industrialists, academicians and

governmental institutions.

Furthermore, the monitoring of the

dissemination of the survey on the carbon

footprint of EPS insulating boards in

construction continued, as well as the

negotiations to obtain the environmental

declaration for this product. This is considered

a very relevant measure to counteract the

attacks received by EPS from the opponents

of this material, since they consider this to

be a product with a negative impact on the

environment.

Analysis of the Life Cycle of PEAD packaging for milk and liquid detergents

Just as in the aforementioned surveys, a Life-

Cycle Analysis of High Density Polyethylene

started. This material is used for packages of

milk and liquid detergent.

Estudio de Análisis de Ciclo de Vida de envases de PEAD para leche y detergentes líquidos

Con la misma intención que los anteriores

estudios, se dio inicio al Análisis del Ciclo de

Vida del Polietileno de Alta Densidad, utilizado

en envases para leche y detergentes líquidos.

El estudio cubrirá las diferentes etapas de los

envases, desde la obtención de sus materias

primas hasta la disposición final de los mismos,

identificando y calculando aspectos como el

consumo energético y de agua, su proceso de

manufactura, el combustible de los transportes

utilizados, distancias asociadas, así como los

residuos y emisiones generadas durante su

ciclo. El estudio finalizará hacia el segundo

semestre del 2015.

PROMOCIÓN, COMUNICACIÓN Y EDUCACIÓN

XXIV Olimpiada de Química del Distrito Federal

Al igual que en años anteriores, CIPRES y

sus empresas socias participaron junto con

la facultad de Química de la UNAM, en la

Olimpiada Química Nacional, con el objetivo de

elevar el nivel de enseñanza y el interés por el

estudio de la Química entre la población juvenil

de nivel medio y medio superior del Distrito

Federal.

Lanzamiento de la campaña “Aprendiendo con la pandilla CIPRES”

En el mes de octubre, Súper Bag, Polystin,

Pety, Pepe, Vinila y Cubetín, los seis personajes

que conforman a la Pandilla CIPRES, estuvieron

presentes en el lanzamiento de la campaña

“Aprendiendo con la pandilla CIPRES”, donde

con el apoyo de sus empresas socias y de

manera particular Dak Americas, Dart de México

y Mexichem se realizaron divertidas actividades

en el patio central de KidZania Cuiculco.

Se recibieron a poco más de 600 niños en los

dos días que estuvimos presentes, reiterando

en todo momento entre los visitantes la

importancia que el plástico tiene en nuestras

vidas, así como la necesidad de adoptar una

cultura de reciclaje para dar a los materiales

plásticos un nuevo uso, a través de la aplicación

de las 3R´s: Reduce, Reúsa y Recicla.


The survey will follow several stages

of these packages. From the time its raw

material is obtained up to their final disposal.

During the survey different aspects will be

identified and estimated such as energy and

water consumption, manufacturing process,

fuel consumed by transports used, related

distances, as well as waste and emissions

generated throughout its cycle. The survey is

expected to be completed by the second half

of 2015.

PROMOTION, COMMUNICATION AND EDUCATION

Mexico City’s 24th Chemistry Olympics

Just as in zzzAprevious years, CIPRES and

its member companies participated with the

School of Chemistry of UNAM in the National

Chemistry Olympics. The purpose of this event

is to raise the teaching and learning level and

the interest to study Chemistry among young

high-school students in Mexico City.

Launching the campaign “Learning with the CIPRES band”

The six characters, Super Bag, Polystin,

Pety, Pepe, Vinila and Cubetín, making up

the CIPRES Band attended in October the

launching of the campaign “Learning with the

CIPRES Band”. With the support of member

companies, and particularly with the support of

Dak Americas, Dart de México and Mexichem,

amusing activities were carried out in the

central playground of KidZania Cuiculco.

Little more than 600 children were received

in the two days of the event. We kept stressing

at all times among all visitors the importance of

plastic in our lives, as well as the need to adopt

a recycling culture to give a new use to plastic

materials through the application of the 3 R’s:

Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.

17th CIPRES Forum

As every year, CIPRES held its National

Forum of the Resin Industry in November. In

this occasion the event was presided over by

Mr. Rafael Vargas, CIPRES Chairman

The purpose of this Forum is to promote the

actions leading to promoting and strengthening

a cultural change in the management and

perception of plastic materials.

At this annual event, its 17Th edition,

several experts in the value chain were

present --legislature and governmental

officials, academicians, resin industrialists,

manufacturers, distributors and recyclers of

the plastic industry-- and practical information

was exchanged in the various conferences with

the intention to apply this information on the

operations of participant organizations.

XVII Foro CIPRES

Como cada año, en el mes de noviembre

CIPRES celebró su Foro Nacional de la Industria

Resinera, el cual estuvo presidido por el

Ingeniero Rafael Vargas presidente de CIPRES.

El Foro tiene por objetivo impulsar las

acciones encaminadas a promover y fortalecer

un cambio de cultura en el manejo y percepción

de los materiales plásticos.

En este evento anual, y que correspondió a su XVII edición, reunió a diferentes expertos en la cadena de valor (legislativo, gobierno, academia, resineros, trasformadores, distribuidores y recicladores) de la industria del plástico y a través de sus conferencias se intercambió información práctica con la idea de aplicarse en las operaciones de las organizaciones participantes.

Finalmente, CIPRES participó en el 2014 con diversas entrevistas tanto en radio como en televisión, donde cabe mencionar su participación en Green TV para informar sobre las necesidades ante la legislación aplicable en el sector de plásticos y las campañas educativas dirigidas a la población infantil a través de la Pandilla CIPRES.

SEGURIDAD E HIGIENE

Durante el año a reportar se realizaron diversas actividades, todas ellas encaminadas a mantener presente los intereses del sector; estas actividades contribuyeron a que la ANIQ fortaleciera su liderazgo empresarial, y refrendando su participación como un experto de opinión en temas de seguridad e higiene.

Entre los proyectos regulatorios que se

atendieron destacan:

» Norma para actividades de

almacenamiento y construcción de tanques

para combustibles Líquidos.

» Incorporación de nuevas sustancias

al listado de Precursores Químicos y

Químicos Esenciales.

» Emisión de la modificación del

reglamento PLAFEST, Biocidas.

» Norma sobre comando de incidentes

» Normas sobre sistemas de alertamiento,

sismo y tsunamis.

» Reglamento de Seguridad y Salud en el

Trabajo.

» Modificación a Norma de seguridad

con sustancias químicas NOM-005-

STPS-2014.

» Modificación a Norma de comunicación

de riesgos por sustancias químicas NOM-

018-STPS-2014.

» Modificación a norma sobre seguridad

con electricidad estática NOM-022-

STPS-2014.

» Norma sobre seguridad con espacios

confinados Proy-NOM-033-STPS-2014.


Finally, in 2014 CIPRES took part in radio

and television interviews. Special mention

must be made to CIPRES participation in Green

TV to inform on the needs arising in view of the

legislation for the plastic sector, and also the

educational children campaigns through the

CIPRES Band.

SAFETY AND HYGIENE

Throughout the year several activities were

held, all of them trying to attend to the interest

of this sector. The activities held contributed

to strengthen ANIQ’s leadership among

businesses and companies, and ratified its

participation as an opinion expert in safety and

hygiene topics.

Among the regulatory projects followed were:

» Standard for storage activities and tank

construction for liquid fuels.

» Inclusion of new substances in the list of Chemical Precursors and Essential Chemicals.

» Issuance of the amendments to the PLAFEST Biocide regulations (Pesticides, Plant Nutrients, and Toxic Substances).

» Incident Management Standard

» Seismic and Tsunamis Alert Systems Standard

» Occupational Health and Safety Regulations

» Amendments to the Chemical Substances Safety Standard number NOM-005-STPS-2014.

» Amendments to the Chemical Substances Risk Communication Standard, number NOM-018-STPS-2014.

» Amendments to the Static Electricity Safety Standard number NOM-022-STPS-2014.

» Confined Space Safety Standard, bill number Proy-NOM-033-STPS-2014.

PROMOTING DEVELOPMENT

Considering the compliance with the

regulatory framework, ANIQ through the Safety

and Hygiene Department provided advisory

services and carried out negotiations about the

processing required on health matters for the

commercialization of substances in Mexico.

The quality level offered allowed us to easily

obtain 100% of the processing requested,

mostly submitting import permits of toxic

substances.

The timely delivery and appropriate

negotiations of these processing actions

increased the number of companies requesting

our agency services.

TRAINING

Aiming at diversifying the topics included

in our training program, we met the training

needs expressed by member companies in

2014. The most relevant events were:

Diploma Course on Safety and Hygiene

This course started in April and ended

in August and consisted of seven modules.

Among the topics covered are: regulations, risk

analysis, industrial hygiene, civil protection,

fires and inspection processes. The course

also included a talk at the Emergency Brigades

Training School facilities in Celaya, state of

RESPONSABILIDAD INTEGRAL

Durante el año 2014, la gerencia de

Responsabilidad de la ANIQ enfocó sus

esfuerzos para incrementar el nivel de

participación de sus empresas socias en los

aspectos del programa a través del Sistema de

Administración de Responsabilidad Integral®

(SARI®) que, como meta estratégica, promueve

el desarrollo sustentable de las empresas, al

tiempo que impulsa su competitividad.

PROMOCIÓN AL DESARROLLO

Considerando el cumplimiento del marco

regulatorio, la ANIQ por conducto de la gerencia

de seguridad e higiene, asesoró y gestionó sobre

los trámites en materia de regulación sanitaria,

de sustancias para facilitar su comercialización.

CAPACITACIÓN

Con el fin de diversificar los temas que se

imparten en nuestro programa de capacitación,

durante 2014 cubrimos las necesidades de

capacitación que nuestra membresía solicitó,

siendo los eventos más relevantes los

siguientes:

Diplomado de Seguridad e Higiene

Inició en abril y concluyó en agosto. Constó

de siete módulos; entre los temas que se

tocan son regulación, análisis de riesgos,

higiene industrial, protección civil, incendios y

procesos de inspección. El diplomado también

incluyó una práctica en nuestras instalaciones

de la Escuela de Capacitación de Brigadas de

Emergencia (ECBE) en Celaya, Gto., donde los

alumnos experimentaron de manera real un

incendio en escenarios controlados y atendidos

por personal experto de nuestra asociación. El

diplomado se desarrollará nuevamente en el

2015 y presentará un temario renovado.

Sistema Globalmente Armonizado, GHS

Durante el 2014 se realizaron dos cursos

de capacitación en los cuales presentamos de

manera general, concreta, práctica y sencilla los

aspectos del Sistema Globalmente Armonizado.

La ANIQ ha sido capaz de generar capacitación

cada vez más especializada en el tema de GHS

debido a su experiencia en la normalización

y la capacitación que recibe directamente de

organizaciones como la misma ONU.

The course will be offered once again in 2015

presenting renovated topics.

Globally Harmonized System, GHS

Two training courses were held in 2014

presenting the Globally Harmonized System in

a specific, practical and simple manner. ANIQ

has been able to generate more specialized

training on GHS thanks to its experience

in standardization and the training directly

received from different organizations that

include the UN itself.

It must be pointed out that specific courses

have been designed for companies’ needs, such

as filling and handling Safety Sheets, labelling,

and hazard classification which were the most

recurrent topics.

RESPONSIBLE CARE

ANIQ’s Responsible Care Division

focused its efforts on increasing the level of

participation of member companies in various

aspects of the program through the Sistema de

Administración de Responsabilidad Integral®

(SARI®) or Responsible Care Management

System, that has the strategic goal of promoting

sustainable development of companies while

promoting also their competitiveness.

Dissemination, support, advisory services and constant training

Several informative sessions were held throughout the year. Conferences were held and customized advisory services were offered to member companies, both at ANIQ facilities as well as in the companies, serving manufacturers, distributors and carrier companies.

As part of the strategy to support member companies in the implementation of the Responsible Care program, a one-day meeting is held to make a “Responsible Care Diagnosis”. In this manner we determine jointly with the company which are the SARI practices that are applicable to the companies’ operations. Seventeen diagnoses were made this year.

Along the same lines, and with the same purpose, seven workshops were held for SARI’s Implementation, as well as one Inspectors Workshop. One event that can be highlighted this year was the Spokespersons Workshop that promotes the development of the skills required to take part in interviews and correctly convey key messages.

Training and Certifying Inspectors

SARI® Inspectors are a key element in the inspection process since they assess the alignment and compliance of companies with the Principles of Responsabilidad Integral® that is, the Responsible Care Program. Twenty three new members were added to the List of Inspectors in 2014.

Difusión, soporte, asesoría y capacitación constante

Durante el periodo que se reporta, se realizaron diferentes sesiones informativas, se dictaron conferencias, se brindó asesoría personalizada a los socios de la membresía tanto en instalaciones de la Asociación como en las de las propias empresas, y se dio atención tanto a empresas fabricantes, distribuidores y transportistas

Como parte de la estrategia para apoyar a las empresas socias en la implantación del Programa de Responsabilidad Integral se cuenta con la realización de “Diagnósticos de RI”; los cuales pretenden, en un solo día, determinar conjuntamente con la empresa las prácticas aplicables del (SARI) a las operaciones de la empresa. Durante el período se llevaron a cabo 17 diagnósticos.

Con la misma idea se realizaron siete Talleres para la Implantación del SARI® así como un Taller para la Formación de Verificadores. Un evento que resalto durante el año fue el Taller de Formación de Voceros, el cual promueve el desarrollo de habilidades requeridas para participar en entrevistas y transmitir adecuadamente los mensajes clave para su organización.

Formación de Verificadores

Los verificadores del SARI® son un elemento clave en el proceso de verificación del grado de alineación y cumplimiento de los Principios del Programa de Responsabilidad Integral® en las empresas participantes; durante el 2014 se integraron 23 nuevos miembros al Padrón de Verificadores.


Inspections

These inspections have been established by ANIQ and through them companies demonstrate with facts their commitment to attend to the concerns of society as a whole on health, safety and environmental matters. One hundred and eight inspections of the Responsible Care Management System (Sistema de Administración de Responsabilidad Integral®) were made.

Son los procesos que tiene establecidos la

ANIQ y por medio de los cuales, las empresas

demuestran con hechos, su compromiso por

atender las preocupaciones de la sociedad

en materia de salud, seguridad y medio

Foro Nacional de la Industria Química se

cumplió una decisión de los órganos rectores

de la Asociación: entrega del reconocimiento a

la “Excelencia de Responsabilidad Integral”.

En esta ocasión los reconocimientos fueron

THE ENVIRONMENT

Once again, 2014 was a challenging year

for ANIQ’s environmental division. This year

we faced new regulatory challenges and at the

same time we ratified ANIQ’s and its member

companies’ commitment to care and protect

the environment. Among the most relevant

topics the following can be highlighted:

General Waters Law

The elimination of the expiration of water

exploitation concessions was the major axis of

negotiations carried out by ANIQ with various

entities. With this action we intend to get

greater legal certainty for users of this vital

liquid in their productive operations.

Our concerns were also taken to Congress

and we are still waiting for a favorable answer.

The activities held directly with personnel of

the National Water Commission must also be

highlighted. Their intention was to discuss the

topic of payment of water duties, since the new

Federal Government Fees and Duties Act sets

forth a new scheme whereby the companies

must estimate payable duties, and a significant

increase was imposed on water use in several

regions.

MEDIO AMBIENTE

De nueva cuenta, para el área ambiental de la ANIQ, 2014 fue un año en el que se enfrentaron nuevos retos en materia normativa, al tiempo que ser refrendó el compromiso que con el cuidado y protección del medio ambiente tiene la ANIQ y sus empresas socias con este tema. Entre los temas que durante el período tuvieron una mayor relevancia destacan:

Ley General de Aguas

La eliminación del concepto de la caducidad de las concesiones de aprovechamiento de agua del sector, fue el eje principal de las gestiones realizadas por la ANIQ ante distintas instancias, que junto con otros aspectos se pretende dar una mayor certeza jurídica a los usuarios del vital líquido para sus operaciones productivas.

Nuestras inquietudes también fueron llevadas ante el Congreso de quien se está a la espera de una respuesta favorable.

No omitimos mencionar sobre las actividades realizadas directamente con personal de la Comisión Nacional del Agua para tratar el tema del pago de derechos de agua, ya que la nueva Ley Federal de Derechos establece un nuevo esquema por el que las empresas deben calcular su cuota a cubrir, y en donde se presentó un incremento importante en algunas regiones por el uso del agua.

Reglamento del Registro Nacional de Emisiones

ANIQ realizó propuestas específicas que contribuyeron a conformar y publicar el presente

ordenamiento, con lo que se da cumplimiento a uno de los lineamientos establecidos en la Ley General de Cambio Climático con que cuenta nuestro país y que se espera contribuya a mitigar los efectos de fenómeno ambiental más importante de los últimos tiempos.

Programas Especiales

Tres fueron los programas que en materia ambiental fueron publicados y en los que también la Asociación tuvo una participación, siendo el primero de ellos el programa Espacial de Cambio Climático, programa mediante el cual el sector refrendará su compromiso de combatir los efectos del fenómeno global.

Otro programa fue el relacionada a la Producción y Consumo Sustentable, el cual estableció la estrategia nacional a la que se alinearán las operaciones de las empresas socias con miras a transitar hacia estilos de producción y consumo más sustentables. Y por último el programa es el Nacional Hídrico, el cual pretende optimizar las acciones orientadas a mejorar el aprovechamiento de los recursos hídricos nacionales.

Capacitación

En materia de capacitación destaca el Seminario de Actualización Legal Ambiental, enfocado a la actualización de los conocimientos sobre los aspectos ambientales para facilitar su cumplimiento al tiempo de reducir el riesgo de sus operaciones y mejorar su desempeño ambiental, así como el Diplomado de Medio Ambiente en Productividad y Desarrollo Sustentable.


Regulations for the National Emissions Registry

ANIQ submitted specific proposals to

contribute in the preparation and publication of

these Regulations. Thus, one of the guidelines

established in the General Climate Change Law

is complied with, and we expect it will help

mitigate the impact of the major environmental

phenomenon of recent times.

Special Programs

Three were the environmental programs

published in which ANIQ had a relevant

participation. The first was the Climate Change

Special Program, whereby the industry ratifies

its commitment to help mitigate this global

phenomenon.

A second program related to Sustainable

Production and Consumption. This program

devised the national strategy to be followed by

the operations of member companies aiming at

changing to a more sustainable production and

consumption styles. And finally, the National

Hydric Program to optimize the actions focused

on improving the exploitation of the nation’s

water resources.

Training

On training matters, we can highlight the

Environmental Legislation Update Seminar. This

seminar focused on updating the knowledge of

environmental aspects to facilitate compliance

while lowering operational risk and improving

environmental performance. Also, a Diploma

course on Environment, Productivity and

Sustainable Development was offered.
