About the Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee e Board of Directors is composed of seven (7) volunteer members who meet monthly with GCU’s management team to review the financial health of the credit union; set policies that affect our members and help determine the future direction of the credit union. e Supervisory Committee is the credit union “watch dog.” It is composed of five (5) volunteer members who meet monthly with management, staff and GCU’s in- ternal auditor to ensure the credit union is following its policies and legal respon- sibilities, acting ethically and that the members’ funds are being managed safely and respon- sibly. Who is Eligible? Any member in good standing, age 18 and over, and who has been a member for at least two years, is eligible to run. We are looking for a wide variety of ages, back- grounds, professional and vol- unteer experience to represent our membership. Experience with accounting or financial institutions is helpful, especially on the Supervisory Committee, but is not necessary. We pro- vide training and professional development opportunities to become and effective credit union volunteer. How Does it Work? As of January 5, 2015, the “call for Candidates” has begun. Ayuda GRATIS para preparar sus impuestosLas declaraciones de impuestos federales y del Estado de Nuevo México vencen el 15 de abril de 2015.
¿Necesita ayuda para prepararlos? Tax Aide NM, auspiciado por AARP, ofrecerá una vez más ayuda gratis para la preparación de impuestos para personas mayores de 65 años. Los voluntarios están entrenados para preparar casi cualquier tipo de declaración de impuestos y ayudan a los declarantes de impuestos a reclamar créditos y deducciones para las cuales califiquen. Asegúrese traer todos los documentos necesarios, incluyendo: - Identificación emitida gubernamentalmente- SSN o ITIN- La declaración de impuestos del año anterior (si las hizo)- W2s, 1099s y cualquier otro estado de cuenta de ingresos- Cualquier formulario 1098 que muestre intereses pagados (hipoteca, préstamos estudiantiles, etc.)- Recibos por contribuciones a obras de caridad, gastos medicos, matrículas por estudios, impuestos sobre la propiedad y otros gastos deducibles.

Las solicitudes deben ser completadas y enviadas, la fecha del matasello no debe ser más tarde del viernes, 27 de febrero de 2014. 2014 New Mexico CU Scholarships Available!
Applications are now available for the NM CU Ed Foundation scholarships! Any NM student who will be enrolled this fall as a full-time undergrad at any accredited college or university in the state is encouraged to apply. Completed applications must be post-marked by Friday, Feb. 27, 2015. Download the application packet at GuadalupeCU.org and apply today!
FREE Tax Help for 2015 Federal and New Mexico State Income Taxes are due by April 15, 2015.
Need help filing? Tax Aide NM, sponsored by AARP, will once again offer free tax help to filers age 65 or older. through April 15. Trained volunteers can help prepare and file most tax returns, and help filers claim the credits and de-ductions for which they qualify. Be sure to bring all necessary documents, including: - Government-issued ID- SSN or ITIN- Last year’s return (if you filed)- W2s, 1099s and any other income statements
- Any 1098 forms showing interest paid (mortgages, student loans, etc)- Receipts for charitable contri-butions, medical costs, tuition, property taxes or other deduct-ible expenses
