Dear parishioners and friends: A Special Mass For Those Who Protect Us
Friday September 29th is the Feast of the Archangels: Saints Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael. Please join us at the 7:00 p.m. Mass at St. Lawrence that evening as we honor and pray for those who protect us, our local law enforcement, fire fighters, first responders, and those who serve in the military. Police, fire fighters and first responders from all our surrounding communities were invited to join us on Friday. This is an opportunity to both thank them for their service and to pray for them. We live in an increasingly dangerous world so now, more than ever, we need to turn to God for help. Saint Michael the Archangel is the Patron Saint of those who protect us so we invoke his special protection that evening. Medals and prayer cards will be blest and distributed to the men and women who join us. I am the son and the brother of law enforcement officers, thus, I know the worry that families encounter every day their loved one puts on his or her uniform. We will also pray that evening for your family and friends who serve our country in the military. I hope you can join us in prayer on Friday.
Almighty God we pray to you
in heaven up above watch over those who protect us, and protect them with your love.
Please guide them as they keep us
safe both day and night, and hold them firmly in your care
should danger come their way.
Give them true strength and courage as they serve our community and country. Loving God, protect and give comfort to
their family and their friends. Amen.
God Bless you and your family, Father Vince
Dios te bendiga a ti y a tu familia, Padre Vicente

Respect Life Notes
1. There will be a Respect Life Ministry meeting on Monday evening, September 25th at 7:30 P.M. in the Parish Office Conference Room. New members are welcome! If you would like to join us as we prepare for Respect Life Month, please come and bring your ideas and enthusiasm! 2. SAVE THE DATE for this year’s LIFE CHAIN! Sunday, October 1st is National LIFE CHAIN Sunday. We will stand in front of our parish from 1 to 2 P.M. giving a silent, prayerful witness to the dignity of all human life. We will meet at Our Lady’s Shrine to receive our instructions and signs. All are welcome – especially families! We will provide chairs for those who want to participate but cannot stand for an hour. Then we will pray the rosary in front of the shrine. 3. Do you know someone who is trying to conceive? Let them know of this special Mass in honor of St. Gerard Majella, the patron saint of mothers, babies and those trying to conceive. The Mass to Celebrate New Life in honor of St. Gerard will take place on Thursday, October 19, 2017, at 7 P.M. at St. Bridget Parish in Glassboro. If you know of anyone who is trying to conceive, or who is trying to adopt, please encourage them to attend. Pregnant moms and babies born in the in the last year will receive a special blessing. Babies and children are most welcome at this Mass! 4. There will be a Public Square Rosary Rally on Saturday, October 14, at noon at the Gazebo in Veterans Park, Chews Landing Road, next to the Gloucester Township Municipal Building. This one is held in honor of the Centennial of Our Lady of Fatima. Last fall at the rally there were over a hundred people praying in public together. It was a wonderful witness to our faith and our love for the Blessed Mother. Please take an hour out of your Saturday to come out again.
Stewardship Sharing
“So the last will be first and the first last” - Matthew 20:16
You’ve heard the saying “it’s not where you start,
but how you finish.” This certainly applies to biblical Stewardship. We have a responsibility not only for our own lives, but for the lives of others as well. We are called to generously share our gifts with others, not hoard them for our own use. Our
gratitude and generosity helps us live “God-centered” lives and not “self-centered” lives.
Spiritual Life Formation / Formación Vida Espiritual ~It is not too late to register your child in the program. All children entering the 1st grade through 8th grade are welcomed in our program. All new families coming into the program must make an appointment to register by calling 856-627-2222. Registration forms are available on our website and at the parish office in Lindenwold. ~The required parent meeting for our Home School Program begins at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 26 in St. Luke’s Church. ~We are need of substitutes for all grades in our Monday afternoon program. Would you prayerfully consider sharing your faith with the children in our parish? Please call Michele in the parish office for more information and to volunteer.
We had a successful, happy first week of school!
Our students donated $700.00 to support Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. We are partnering with Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in
