Tournament Introduction

The popular Phuket Soccer 7s will celebrate its 8th anniversary this year.

This tournament has developed into one of the largest and most sought after Soccer 7s

tournaments in Asia. As a result of the huge interest received this year from teams we will

be holding again a second tournament, the 5th Andaman International Soccer 7s.

Both tournaments in Phuket are invitation tournaments that provide a socially competitive

environment for players who approach the game with the right attitude and in the right spirit.With no prize money at stake, all teams take part for one reason only, their love of soccer.

The two tournaments are as follows:

Organiser: Tim Hodgson (Australian), Leisure Events.

Organiser: Alain Brulfert (French), Reperages Group (Thailand).

Chief Referee: Brad Sargeant (Australian) with a referees team

of Singaporean and Thai.

88 teams from 18 countries, including some ex-professional players.

more than 25 nationalities.

1,500 participants, relatives, friends, supporters...

90% of participants are expatriates living in Asia.

Estimation of 25 million THB that will be injected into the Phuket economy.

Largest tournament of its kind in the Asia-Pacific region.

The tournaments are played in accordance to FIFA Laws of the game except where there shall

be no offside and interchange of players.

There are 3 levels of competition Cup, Plate & Bowl and both winners and runners-up at

each level will receive trophies to mark their achievement and each player in these teams is

also awarded with a medallion.

Registration of maximum of 12 players

Grass pitch 70m x 45m (3/4 size standard pitch)

Full size goals (more attractive!)

15 minute per game

Interchange / Rolling substitution

No Offside
