In addition to the Contractor' s obligation

during the defects liability, the Contractorshall allow here for maintaining all plantings

for period of 6 months from the date of

practical completion of the works including

watering, cultivating, fertilizing, weeding

pruning, wound dressing, disease and pest

control and prevention, protective spraying,

replacement of unacceptable materials,straightening of plants, moving of plants

and any other procedures necessary to

ensure vigorous and healthy growth of all

plants and other operations directed by the

Landscape Architect.

The Contractor is to notify the Employeron any existing plants that have died and

unhealthy plants before proceeding with the

maintenance work otherwise are to be

replaced at his own cost. If such plants are

found during the maintenance inspection by

Landscape Architect.

During the maintenance period, the

Contractor will require to replace any dying

or vandalized plants to the original sizes and

true to types at his own cost and it is the

Contractor's responsibility for the safe

custody of all trees shrubs and plants, etc

until it is handed over to the employer after

the maintenance period expires.
