The Problem• Mobile customers often must provide their number to
untrusted 3rd parties, such as market vendors for a recharge, or for entering a lottery competition• Unfortunately some of these 3rd parties collect customer
numbers and sell them to unsavory characters• It happens that a criminal in a prison purchases a list of
numbers and calsl these customers claiming to know where they live and make threats if they don’t send them money immediately• Out of fear and wanting to avoid a confrontation, many
people give in to the scam and send the cash
The Solution
• Create a system to allow a user to create temporary, anonymous, re-usable access codes that can be shared with an untrusted 3rd party instead of a phone number and deleted later
• Allow easy management (list, create, delete) of access codes via USSD
• Create the back-end anonymous interconnection system that can handle both of the required areas of integration:• Provide voice and recharge connectivity via the anonymized code to
the real customer• Privacy management allowing translation of the anonymized code to
a real customer number to be shared with trusted back-end enablers
Step 2: Share your code with anyone, and they can call, message, or recharge your phone without ever knowing your real phone number
